it’s ok… worth a stop if you happen to pass by and are in need of a meal. Had the brisket and smoked turkey plate. Nothing special but decent. Clean interior and friendly staff.

After buying a gift certificate, we thought we’d like to try this unusual bar and grill. As we entered we saw a sign posted that they are no longer accepting those gift certificates. Bummer. Now we’ll never try it. Way to go, Buck. Now I feel like the newspaper boy in Better Off Dead, «I want my two dollars!» UPDATE: was really kind and helpful. Their rep Kelly told me that it takes 3 months for a restaurant to phase off the list once they request removal. The restaurant is aware of it per their contract and SHOULD honor all g.c.‘s that are sold during that time. They gave me a credit for a new g.c. Thank you !

I went to bucks for lunch with a couple of co-workers on a whim. I got the Burnt end sandwich and It was some of the worst Bar-B-Q that i have ever had. Most of the meat in the sandwich was very chewy and tasted a lot like Beef Jerky. I got my sandwich with the original sauce which was ok but i got the hot BBQ sauce on the side and it might possibly be the worst BBQ sauce that I have ever tasted. Everyone else in my group said there food was pretty underwhelming as well. The one dish that«wasn’t bad» was the tenderloin sandwich that one person ordered. Also this is a smoking establishment so if you don’t like the smell of smoke to be overpowering the scent of your food(although it may be an improvement over the smell based on what my food tasted like) you would be advised to pass on this restaurant. I for one will not be visiting this place again and I will be recommending for others to avoid it as well.

As we entered the building, Pink Floyd’s «Wish You Were Here,» was being played by the fine DJ’s broadcasting live. Very appropo. Yes, there is smoking, yes there is BBQ and yes, it is mixed with Italian. As I perused the manu(not a misspelling), several things caught my eye, fried spicy cheese cubes, fried pickles, the fries with the bufallo… hmmm. Then I spotted it, a salad with burnt ends and BBQ Ranch. How. Perfect. Unfortunately, I was informed that they are phasing that off of the menu so now my mission(in due time) will be to single-handedly bring it back. The beers are cheap during happy hour, $ 2.00AND they include Bud Light Lime as a domestic at said price. Score,. Ordered the fried pickles as an app and the BBQ Spaghetti, it had pork on it, my dining companion opted for the BBQ sandwich. The food is… very comparable to what happens when you drink too much and decide that everything in your refrigerator tastes good together, MACARONIANDGIN! That sounds harsh but I believe that is how my dish was invented. However, it came with two greatly coveted, large, yummy, pieces of garlic bread, one of which had a secret garlic butter compartment. Good. Night. Without a doubt, this place has amazing service, man food and cheap beers. We are for sure going back to catch a Chiefs game or any happy hour. Go for the people watching and the service. And the garlic bread.

I kinda feel bad giving this place 3 stars, because the people are so damn nice and they’re trying really hard, but the food is severely lacking. I’ll be back regardless, but I really hope they figure a few things out. I had a bbq dinner with two meats and sides. Everything was room temperature at best and pretty unremarkable. If that meat was smoked I sure couldn’t tell. It was severely over priced and not a very satisfying portion. They also have Italian food. Seriously? The beers are maybe 50 cents too much, but they have a decent selection.

Okay, apparently I was at Buck’s on the wrong night. I found it boring, too bright, and I thought it was quite expensive for what I got. There were a lot of guys hanging out that looked like they knew each other for many years, pretty loud and obnoxious, but hey… that doesn’t bother me. What does bother me is when I have to physically get off my chair and go hunt down a waitress. We were ready to order and sat for 15 minutes waiting for our server. I finally got up and went back to the back to find her, and find her I did. Server was having an in depth conversation with another staff member. I told her we were ready to order, and she asked what table I was«sitting AT». I told her I did not know the table numbers, but she was the person handing us menus 20 minutes earlier. The food was okay, typical bar food, but okay. I just wasn’t impressed, don’t really think the world is ready for a BBQ/Italian restaurant and don’t think you’ll be finding me here on a regular basis.

I have to say it, I like Buck’s. A menu that’s a combination of Italian and BBQ sounds odd, but somehow they make it work. I’ve had a little of both there and so far have liked what I’ve tried. The bar is clean and comfortable and a great place to hang out and watch sports. The drinks are priced right and the bartender I’ve had so far(same one each time) is good.

Found this place a few months ago. VERY open and surrounded by tv’s and a big screen:) Very much so a sports bar! I discovered today that they play ALLKUANDMU games. Plenty of parking and nestled in the heart of the Northland. Of their menu… I’m addicted to the spaghetti with garlic bread meal. It’s so generous that I haven’t been able to eat it all in one setting, so it’s two meals for the price of one for me. Italian and Bar-B-Q are their main entrees. Stop by and enjoy the games… especially when no one else is playing PPV. :)
