Would love to review. Unfortunately the place was locked up but appeared to have some folks(about 10 total) having fun inside. Who locks up a bar at 7 pm on a Saturday night? Might be good but we won’t try this again.

We stopped in to Bojos cause I saw it on Unilocal. We happened to be in the area. I wanted to eat food I don’t make at home. We walked in, and seated ourselves. We(my mom and i out in North Kansas City), were waited on immediately. It was darkish inside, with dimmed lights. I noticed duck tape on torn booths. I had seen Bang Bang Shrimp as the special, and ordered, learning that only shrimp came with the order. My mom had beer boiled shrimp. Most of the sides, except French fries, cole slaw, and potato chips came with a $ 1.50 upcharge, which I found odd. While I had no problem paying the upcharge for onion rings, heck, I bought a basket of them for $ 5.00. I also noticed other upcharges, .50 for this and that. But the Bang Bang shrimp was delicious, smothered in a sweet/spicy creamy sauce. My mom’s beer boiled shrimp was also very good. The ladies in the middle table were ungodly loud, but it was a bar, per se, so no complaints. The food was good, and knowing the up charges, I’d return if I’m in the area. There are hundreds of places to eat int he same area, so we’ll probably try something else when I need to return. The prices, except for the upcharges, were within keeping, and the food was very good.

We just moved to Gladstone and we’re looking for a new local hang out. We walked in and it was clean and inviting. Seemed like most people there knew one another, the food was decent, the happy hour drink prices were a nice surprise and while my Ling Island wasn’t part of that deal I have to admit it was Really Good! We will be back again! We also saw a pool table we will break in soon enough. Along with several TV screens to see your favorite sports teams! Glad we found this place

I love this bar! Perhaps it is the home style food, or the multitude of bands, but it is great. The service is always prompt and friendly.

Great service. Best Ruben ever. Ketel one is only $ 7. Buy their discount card, it’s a great deal for $ 12.

Good food, and super cheap happy hour prices. I used to go there more often about 15 years ago, but have moved and do not get to go as often. New owners since back in the day, but still a great place to hang out.

We are so disappointed that after being loyal customers for many years we were basically asked to leave because the manager wanted to give our table to some other party. The table was not reserved. I guess we were not spending enough money as we were not drinking alcohol. Needless to say, we will no longer go to Bojo’s and will tell others of our experience.

Baited into the phrase«not wanting to try new things,» I caved. If you are interested in sports and would like a lot of room to watch them in, here is your place. It can be a little much to take in and everything is the color red(the bar, the walls, the booths, the cups, etc.). We knew we had to try the taco Tuesday as we are always looking for Tacos served on Tuesdays. Incidentally, we must have also became possessed as we ordered the queso to go along with it. We sat in a booth below a huge TV which they’ve clearly invested some money in as there were several. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time although there was some confusion about the salsa. Let’s just say we received a lot of it, which was fine because it was tasty. The queso? Classic Velveeta. hmmmm. We ordered 4 tacos a piece, they were small and they were SEA-SONED. I thought they were satisfying, my husband thought they were on the salty side. During the meal our waiter would stand about 3 feet from our booth, not to take care of us but to watch the TV. I was a bit weird. I felt like I should ask if I should help… him. I’ll go back for the Tacos and maybe Cougar night, you know, to try new things.

BoJo’s is under new ownership and has done a complete 180. Come in and see the new and improved menu, décor and attitude. This is not the BoJo’s I remember from when I was younger. The staff is very friendly, they have great drink prices and the kitchen has been whipped into shape to quietly become one of the Northland’s best lunch spots. Definitely give this place a chance next time you’re in the area looking for good food.

Well all I can say this was a very different experience we went with friends to go see a band that is a local good band I guess when your struggling artist money is money. I went to the bathroom and swear there were mouse droppings in the corner… ewhhh, I was afraid to put my purse on the floor the rest of the night due to Lord what knows I may have brought home with me… NOT good. Definitely a «hole in the wall» that I would not recommend if you want good food, not even half way decent BAR food. This is a local bar with LOTS of locals who do a lot of smoking and drinking I guess when your drunk anything taste good. Be prepared to walk through a cloud of smoke at the entrance it is now smoke free inside so they all stood outside the front door and were smoking away like it was their last cigarette! The atmosphere is very old and needs to be updated to say the least. The service was horrible I wanted to ask her if she really hated her job that much at one point I though she left but I realized she had been outside smoking. We quickly realized you have to sit at the bar if you want any attention looks like the locals realize that because the bar area was full. Cougar Night we heard was very busy there we were told by the VERYLOUD bartender(who is obviously a COUGAR) that if we came back for cougar night we could dance on the bar… I think I will pass on that one! I can actually say there are many hole in the walls in KC that have great food and atmosphere that I would rather visit It was a experience that I think I will pass on next time!

I found this hole in the wall bar-restaurant to have some really tasty items. They offer daily lunch specials that are filling and quite tasty. I have to recommend the meatloaf on Thursdays.

We assign numbers and roll a die to pick where our work group eats lunch every Friday or so. This week we rolled a BoJo’s… Didn’t have very high expectations for this place other than figuring it would be a sports bar. For all intents and purposes that’s what it is. College sports logos decorate the walls along with beer signs. Numerous TVs. Pool table in the back corner by a dart board or two. The deco looks decent, the furniture looks old, the food tastes bland. There is a horseshoe-shaped bar in the middle. You can play Keno. You’ve been here or somewhere like it before. The special thing about BoJo’s, what we didn’t know until we pulled into the parking lot, is that it is home to what I have to assume is the best«Cougar Night» in Kansas City every Thursdays. Probably the only Cougar Night in Kansas City outside of every night at Touché’s. From the giant pink banner hanging in the front, to the crappy printed page inside, to the picture of the Golden Girls under the MU Logo… BoJo’s is all about the older vag every Thursday. We ate lunch on a Friday afternoon and they were still cranking out«Stacey’s Mom» on the stereo system. The whole thing wasn’t complete until we sat down and looked at the menu. Our waitress tells us the specials and leaves us to figure out what we want. We look for a while, I choose what I want and then decide to check the other daily specials on the rare chance we actually come back. Honest to god, the Thursday food special at BoJo’s is an open-faced roast beef sandwich. It’s too perfect to even imagine they actually planned it that way. Something tells me it’s a white cream gravy, except on every third Thursday they go with a cajun-style, red gravy. Another menu item of note that must be huge on Thursday’s is the«Finger Me Good» shot. It was entirely not a coincidence that a guy walked into the place with a wrist brace on, holding one of his fingers in place. I don’t even want to talk about the old guy who walked in a few minutes later with a bag of bananas for the bar. If there is one special night that is going to run a bar completely out of bananas, Cougar Night, I salute you.
