We dined here for Mother’s Day Brunch. I was stunned by the condition of the main banquet room. This once elegant room had filthy carpeting, poor lighting(likely to hide the carpet) and the fireplace had cheap Christmas lights replacing the fire. There was construction at one end of the dining room they made no attempt to conceal. It took us 20 minutes to get our drink orders taken with only 8 tables full. The food for a brunch was pitiful. Dried out fish, some beef, chicken that never got replenished, some one other dish. No carving station, quiche, or even pancakes or French toast. No champaigne even served. The omelet station was the biggest joke. The lady was so slow and inexperienced she was taking names and having a server walk around with no idea where the guest was seated. I was so sorry my children paid for this.

I didn’t think the food was that great. I had a burger and it tasted like they just dump season salt on it tons of it. I couldn’t finish the burger way to salty. It seems like all the owner did was bitch about politics when we where there.

My wife and I went for lunch a few weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Owned by the former owners of Groucho’s, the food was well prepared and filling, with portions that fit perfectly with the time of day(lunch as opposed to dinner). The restaurant has a warm, relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to have a quiet, conversation-filled meal. If you are looking for a pub-type meal, the upstairs is home to the Freight House Pub and offers many of the same menu items but in a more relaxed setting.

I went with a couple of friends for lunch today. We each different sandwiches and tried a couple of their soups and it all tasted great! I would HIGHLYRECOMMEND the food. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. We commented that it would be the perfect place to meet again for lunch, an after-work drink, or an intimate dinner. This place really seems to have it all. There is also the«Freight House Pub» upstairs that is more of a casual, bar atmosphere(review on that to come later) with TVs, pool table, and karaōke on Thursday night with«Nashville» Mike Haskins. 4STARS! And I’m definitely planning on returning! This place is a hidden gem… at least for now. ;-)
