Took 45 minutes to get the hamburger I ordered. It was average at best. Good beer selection.

We were craving a burger so we Unilocaled and found this place. Sorry but it must have been an off night. I ordered my burger medium. When it arrived and I cut it in half it was dripping blood. Ok. They took and back and redid the plate. Next time out it was REALLY done. Whatever happened to Medium? Any way you get a nice size burger and the fries were fine. Nothing special at all. My last issue — the roll was literally ice cold in the middle although the edges were toasted. Must have started out frozen? Pick another place — there’s better food in Kailua Town.

If you want to eat some grease this place is for you. We ordered the fish and chips Burgers, and a side salad. Their Italian dressing was not Italian in anyway shape or form. It should’ve been called mayonnaise dressing. They were out of three beers we wanted. We feel sick. We would never come back.

Really great service and good beer selection. Nice to find a lively sports pub & grill in Kailua. There really was not«a» bartender there… Each waitperson got behind the bar and was responsible for pouring your beer and making your drinks. Kind of neat to see… I’ll definitely remember this place next time I’m in Kailua.

The food here is average. It’s nothing to die over. The drinks are good and not too expensive. It’s a good atmosphere if you’re looking for a bar in Kailua with a little night life. Servers are mediocre! They don’t have much for vegetarian or gluten free but that is sort of normal at pubs & grills! If you’re looking for nightlife or a drinking atmosphere, worth it. If you’re looking for great food, go somewhere else.

Everything you could possibly want from a pub. All the favorites are on the menu(burgers, sliders, Reuben, steaks, plus local sashimi and poke). Ton of good local and mainland beers on tap, an absolute ton of tv’s on the wall, and they are all tuned to different stuff so you can find something you want. Very pleasant staff, pretty damn good prices. Honestly I have no idea why anyone would rate less than 5 stars.

The soda lines need to be cleaned badly! Pepsi taste moldy The French Dip was okay — great amount of meat, way to much cheese and served on a hot dog bun — don’t dip in the brown water! The pizza my husband ordered would have been fine had it come with all the toppings Overall service sucked. I’m guessing because we were not buying alcohol and my man brought a woman. It’s def a guy joint.

Went to the bar side. Service was great, our bartender Aimee was attentive and fun(with a great and cute smile.). Thanks for the two quick Apocalypse IPA and a special thanks to Amy for being a good sport about the Drunken Monkey. Definitely would be back for drinks at least on another Hawaii trip.

Just tried to go here for breakfast because the brunch menu looked great. However THEYOPENAT9AM not 7am as listed online and on their door. Staff was less than helpful when we got there before that. So disappointing. I couldn’t give an accurate star rating because I didn’t get to eat, but I’m sure it’s awesome. Just wanted to correct the opening time so people like me don’t plan to come here earlier.

Five stars because we always receive great service, even when they are packed! Great food, they tried to stick to the ‘pub’ theme and only deviated from it to add some local favorites.

Our service on the restaurant side was stellar, food was NOT. Also, someone needs to give the bartender a pour test so she knows what an ounce of liquor looks like in any given glass.

Solid pub fare — burgers, fish and chips, hot pastrami sandwich, fries and onion rings at reasonable prices. I don’t drink alcohol, but it looks like they a have a decent selection of beers on tap as well. The establishment is divided into two parts — a louder bar section and a quieter restaurant side. Both have big screen tvs showing relevant sports when they’re on. Service has been good. The parking lot is a pay lot, but the restaurant will validate, so it won’t cost you anything. Just let them know which stall your car is in. I like this place and will be back.

Came here with friends after hesitation based on the recent negative reviews. So glad we did. The waitress was really nice and food wasn’t excellent but I’d be willing to give it another whirl. We had pepperoni pizza, kalua nachos and a steakhouse burger. The burger was on the thick side but it was moist, surprising for such a thick burger. The BBQ sauce tasted like steak sauce and ketchup. Pizza was thin with generous amounts of cheese and pepperoni. Sauce was light which is perfect, I’m not a fan of having tons of sauce with my pizza, it’s not spaghetti. Lol. Kalua nachos were excellent! You get about 6 – 7 huge pieces of chips filled with cheese and kalua pig. It also comes with guacamole, sour cream and salsa. Our waitress was very attentive but didn’t make us feel rushed at all. The bar area gets pretty loud with people and music but there’s swinging doors which they closed and definitely helped with controlling the noise. All-in-all, we’d return!

I’m not sure why I resisted going to this place. Maybe it was because of the dark exterior and I thought it would be sort of divey. The interior was also dark, but it was comfy. I didn’t realize it would be so big inside. there are two separate sections and the interior is large. My friend wanted to go here because she wanted to eat the pastrami sandwiche. She stuck with the plan, but I decided to try the fish and chips. Good decision! The fish was crispy on the outside and moist inside with a lot of meat. Add malt vinegar and it’s perfect. Loved it, though next time I might try something else because they had a lot of selections at reasonable prices. The service was fast and friendly. The parking lot is a pay parking lot. Don’t put money in the self-pay box! Let your waiter/waitress know what your stall number is, and they’ll let the parking attendant know. I’m glad my friend wanted to go here, and for sure I’ll be back. On a side note(and it has nothing to do with the rating of the pub), I hate this parking lot! The stalls are small and tight. This is the only place where I’ve had to get in from the passenger side, then crawl over the shift because someone parked so close to the driver side that I couldn’t get it. This happened several times to me, and it happened last night. I’m getting to old for this!

This is my second time eating here. My first visit I came with friends and had great service and food. The second time, not so much. I brought my dad and his girlfriend to show them this cool pub and let them down. Rebecca was our server, she didn’t write any of our orders down and what do you know nothing came out right. She forgot to put in our appetizer(calamari) and it never came out. My dad asked for his salad to come out with his burger and never did. I’m not one to complain but I was not happy about this visit. The whole time while we’re eating our server is at the next table sitting at another booth eating and talking to a friend. Obviously, she doesn’t take her job too seriously. I ordered chicken Alfredo and it was cold. Too many problems with being the ONLY table in the place. Never coming back

Needed to find a place to watch football and have football type food. I couldn’t have asked for a better place. Great beer selection, the right food and appetizers expected while watching football. A neat pub atmosphere with great service. Just right for what I needed.

Been coming in for years and only recently had the place gone downhill and fast. Recently the overcooked my burger on the loco moco. I asked for medium and got well. They said the warmer that they keep the food on had cooked it all the way, from medium to well. When I asked for a refund because i want satisfied, they(somebody namef Debbie) said it was my fault for waiting too long and would only take half off. Unbelievable. The service from the bartenders are great but this just took the cake.

My parents took the babe and hubby and I had a little date night here. The pub is actually very child-friendly. There were a few people there with their kids. The mai-tai’s are nice and strong, which was a great plus. The food isn’t great, but it’s also not terrible. I actually don’t remember what I ate but I also remember not having much of an opinion of it at the time. The staff is friendly, the drinks are strong, the atmosphere is good. The food is a *shrug*.

I had very high hopes for this place but I can’t say that Kailua Town Pub was anything more than average. The parking lot was easy to navigate and there were plenty of tables available for my family and I to get some food and drinks. We were put in the back area, away from the bar because we were looking for food. It felt like an old-timey pub and the menu items reflected this feel as well. Fish and chips, corned beef, french fries. There was a lot of fried bar food which was fully expected. The food was only ok though. I had the corned beef sandwich and it was just like any other pub food. Nothing really stood out about it other than the low price($ 9). My complaints with this restaurant were mostly with the noise. At one point I heard two radios and one live band trying to be louder than each other. It was deafening and the clashes of style didn’t help it. The band was rock, one of the radios was rap, and the other radio was pop. These sounds on top of normal loud bar sounds made for an unenjoyable night on my ears. Overall, Kailua Town Pub was just an average restaurant. The price was great, but in this case, you get what you pay for: average food in a loud local bar. I really don’t see the need to ever go back.

Went to pick up my bf from his new workplace in Kailua, and he tells me to jump on Unilocal and see what’s open because he’s hungry(no surprise there). Enter Kailua Town Pub and Grill. We pull up and it’s cute and has an old school feel to it, that kind of reminded me of all the shops over in North Shore. We walk in and were warmly greeted by the line cooks and waitress(in a tartan mini skirt, nonetheless) and told to have a seat anywhere. Too bad that anywhere was more like the one table that was actually bussed; there were quite a few empty tables but none of them had been cleared. Okay, well not too big of a deal. I sat down and my side of the table was sticky. I don’t like sticky. I go to grab one of the drink menus off of a side bar table– it too was sticky. I DON’T LIKESTICKY. So I grab a wet wipe out of my purse and wipe down everything, including my hands. Other than that, everything else was pretty decent. We ordered calamari for starters and it was a HUGE portion! We had enough to take home and ate it for lunch the next day. My bf ordered their reuben and was very happy with it. I ordered their fish and chips and it was nice and flaky without being over cooked or too oily. First time eating it with malt vinegar so that was fun. They had a good Samuel Adams seasonal beer, and I tried a cocktail called Da Rum Runnah. It tasted like punch, but didn’t pack much of one. Darn my iron Korean liver! Our waitress came and checked on us periodically and even came back with a bag and reminded me of the food I had packed to go and left on the table(ahem, heh heh…). Overall, it was an okay experience. Nothing horrible, but nothing exceptional. Maybe next time we’ll come for beers and hang out on the other side in the secret pub section. ;)
