They have THEBEST fish and chips on the island! Fresh catch of the day, no grease. Local favorite.

Always has really good food and really good prices. It just feels like home. It’s certainly not fancy. The service is always OK to good. But the fish is good, calamari, sandwiches. All good.

Best onion rings I have ever had. And I have had a lot. For dinner nervous I had the fish and chips. minus the chips. The fried fish I had here was the best battered fish I have ever tasted. I had the fish and chips at 2 other Kona restaurants and Quinns by far is the king or queen of fish and chips in this town. I am a fan and wish I would have been steered to Quinns before Spashers and Fish hopper. Hands down Quinns is the best. The basic Mai Tai was more than adequate for the price. My only complaint is the lack of diversity working in the front of the house. There are no people of color working, at least not while I’m here. I am in Hawaii and it would have been nice to see servers of Hawaii ancestry greeting the many white and non white visitors that eat at this restaurant. I peaked in the kitchen and saw a few people of color making the food and they did an awesome job. Dana was my server and she was very good.

Well ok has packer flags but definitely not a packer bar. Only went there bc we thought the service and food would be representative of Wisconsin. Wrong, service was awful. Many nicer places in Hawaii. Not friendly in any way. Typical crap for tourist area. Disappointed

Great local spot for Fish n Chips, burgers and salads. Huge menu with something for everyone. I have been here many times and almost always get Fish n Chips. It has never been served«raw» and if it had I’m sure they would take it back to the kitchen. Servers are friendly and fast. Best seating is in the back garden. Great drinks and cold beer. A local favorite.

Ok, Where do I begin? Diane or Dyan Greeted us and showed us to a table on a Huge lanai I didn’t expect to see, so the ambience and welcome already hit it out of the park. Our perky server picked up the customer service relay race stick and was a sweetheart true and true. She repeated ur orders and delivered them perfectly. Her colleagues dropped her check and brought us our to go boxes and the fried food was delivered hot and fresh from the kitchen. We tried to eat here on a few occasions but didn’t have time to get on the waiting list and finally today we were off and ran here. So worth the wait. Kudos to everyone that works there I had a great experience. TRYTHECHILIRICECORNBREAD7.50

Cozy place with good food. Awesome burgers casual hangout spot with a garden in the back. Staff is friendly and you can find many locals here. We tried teriyaki burger with fries, fish sandwich with pineapple coleslaw and jalapeño pepper burger with fries. Fish sandwich was kind of blend but the burgers were awesome.

A great place of dinner in Kona. The Ono fish and chips are the best in Kona, also montecristo sandwich is very good.

When locals recommended Quinns then you know its good which it was. The ono fish and chips here were the best I’ve ever had! Perfectly cooked, not too much batter and great fresh fish flavor. The drink here were also great and balaced. The mai tai was not overly sweet and had just the right amount of rum. They have a nice kids menu as well.

Sat in the patio area… yes, there may be mosquitoes, but who cares, I’m in Hawaii. The hostess looks like my sister. Once again, the terri beef mix plate was awesome and the Kona beers were refreshing in this island heat. I bought another shirt from Quinn’s. I’m addicted. Mahalo.

Great food, great service, no b.s. …just darn good food, huge portions… backyard…so to speak… is comfortable place to have dinner. FIRST…came earlier in the day. had potato skins… so amazing had a second order. NEXT…skins were so good, came for dinner. Ahi dinner… HUGE…2BIG pieces, with perfectly cooked veggies and not needed white rice, Kalbi ribs… per husband… best he has ever had with superb pasta side. Prices. cheap for what you get. Not fancy just very good. By the way… neither of us could clean out plates.

On a quest to stand up paddle board, we got caught in the rain. Then we got hungry. We found Quinn’s Almost By the Sea through the amazing Hawaii Revealed app, and were thoroughly pleased with our lazy lunch. We sat on the patio, which was covered, so it kept us dry. One of the servers made sure we were okay and not getting any splash-back from outside, which was nice. We both got some tropical cocktails, which were amazingly cheap($ 6-$ 8) and shared some pickle chips, which came with awesome sauce. I had the fish sandwich, which was nicely done. My friend got the fish and chips, which was even better. We shared fries and onion rings, both of which were better when dipped in the sauce meant for the pickles. The service was a bit slow, but the server came over and thanked us for being so patient. She implied something was going on that was keeping her from checking on us more often, but we weren’t in a rush, so the pace was fine with us.

We chose to sit inside the AC portion(front) of the restaurant our first night in Kailua-Kona. We stopped at a few other places thinking we would eat at them, but prices were shockingly high! So, a local recommended Quinn’s. Man… I know better: JUSTASK A LOCAL! Service and exceptional; food was hot and prepared quickly. Portions: JUSTASSUME it is too much! I got the fries and fish tacos; could only eat 2 tacos and a nibble of fries(maybe because my man ordered me that extra mai tai!). I wanted to keep eating… I sucked down the piece of fish so as to not waste! He had the fried Ono with rings. HE could not finish, either! There is a lot of food! Everything else that came out looked fabulous! We would definitely go back!

One of my coworkers from Kona took us here for lunch during a business trip. We sat outside in their open padio. It was a very hot sunny day but it was very cool under the shade with the fans on. Loved the Halloween décor, very festive.(There is also a bar inside, as well as other seating in a room inside with air conditioning.) I ordered the fish and shrimp plate with rice. It was very delicous, the batter had a lot of flavor and wasn’t excessively greasy. Good portions, I was stuffed, and my coworker will had half of her plate that she took back to-go. The service was friendly, but a little slow(didn’t come back to see how we were doing, or check on refills for our drinks). Other than that, everything was good.

Quinn’s Almost by the Sea What can I say my wife and I have been coming to Quinn’s for twenty five years. When we lived on the Big Island it was one of our favorite place to go, and it still is. The Calimari and the Kona Gold Sandwich are our two favorites, although I can not think of any item that we have had that we would not order again. We had not been back to the Big Island in seven years and Quinn’s was our first meal and almost our first stop. This place is plane and simple a great place for food.

Great food, great service! We went here for dinner and we had the tenderloin steak tips which were the best! We also had the shrimp and chips, the shrimp were HUGE! I couldn’t even finish. The drinks were awesome too. You add all that to excellent service and you have a winner! If I lived here I would come back but since I don’t I have been letting everyone here know to try it including the resort s they can put it on their list of recommended places. We found out about it from a local man.

We first came hear YEARS and YEARS ago on our first or second visit to the island — liked it then. But haven’t been back until last week: we had a very pleasant lunch in the air-conditioned part of the restaurant … good thing since it was really a good time to cool off! The food was all good. I especially enjoyed my salad with a really nice piece of grilled ahi as well as hardboiled egg, veggies, etc.

Wir hatten beide einen Salat. Beides war gut und die Portierung war ausreichend auch für Hungrige. Preise waren mit je $ 13 günstig
