The phở here is awesome. I’ve only had this dish here so I cannot comment on the other menu items. The regular sized bowl is always enough for 2 meals for me– sometimes even 3 depending on how hungry I am. They have a limited wine and beer menu so adjust your expectations if you’re expecting a full bar experience. Service is typically quick and very hospitable. Don’t be afraid to order the phở to go if you’re in a hurry. They pack it up very nicely with all the ingredients packed separately so you can make it just the way you want when you get home.

Probably one of the best authentic Vietnamese restaurants in this area. They have phở, which is a crowd favorite. However, I find some of their other dishes to be delicious as well, maybe even better! I love their Lemongrass Tofu– it is probably my favorite dish. Their other dishes such as Pad Thai, Panang Curry, and Crispy Egg Noodles are amazing as well! Their phở also accomodates for vegeterians which I loved.

The phở was okay but so is most of the other phở in Atlanta. What earned the 2 stars were the gua cuon(spring rolls), which seemed to come from a Betty Crocker cookbook circa 1962. Are they really hoping Atlantans won’t know the difference? Lots of lettuce, some spam-type meat instead of pork, and no herbs to brighten up the flavor. No more Le Mekong for me unless they fix this.

Great phở for a reasonable price! I always love the phở beef and it’s consistently delicious each time. The atmosphere is pleasant and the wait staff is pretty nice, so I always come here whenever I have a phở craving. Definitely the best place for vietnamese food in the Johns Creek area.

Definitely the best Vietnamese restaurant around the area. Although they don’t have that many competition here until you go further out to Duluth and Pleasant Hill Rd, they certainly have one of the best locations in Johns Creek. Located across the street from H Mart, Le Mekong sits in a busy strip mall with plenty of other food choices nearby. Although parking can be bit hectic the food here is certainly well worth the trip. My family had the classic beef phở and I tried out the pork chop combo. The pork chop was nicely grilled but I think it goes better with the vermicelli option. Phos were top notch as to be expected, very reasonably priced and the ingredients are quite fresh. The beef steak definitely tasted chewy and not overly cooked. Décor is quite nice and I suspect to be able to survive in a affluent suburban neighborhood they had to quite invest in the interiors. Especially the waterfall I’m certain a lot of people were drawn to it upon entering. Service was pretty decent although it was a pretty quiet night when we went, the waitress were quite efficient and took good care of us. Although the parking lot were quite full I had to guess most of the cars were patrons of the various restaurants in the lot. Overall a very pleasant experience and I heartily recommend the place if you’re a fan or wanting to try out some delicious Vietnamese phở

Service isn’t that good. Had to ask for my check. Also they charge me for sharing a bowl of soup?! Don’t understand that. I didn’t get any extra soup, and I didn’t use the extra the bowl he sat at the table after I told him I didn’t need it and my guest only wanted to taste the soup. The phở was still good but disappointed in the service again on my 2nd visit.

I can’t say I was super impressed with this place. Service was just okay. We kept getting looks from their staff as it neared 10pm. I get it, and we were planning on leaving before they closed, but it made me uncomfortable. Especially since they started giving us looks around 9pm. We both ordered the phở… which wasn’t that good to be honest. I picked three meats and asked for double tripe but it was definitely not a double portion. I’ve never seen cilantro served alongside basil(I’d prefer just more basil), but no biggie. The phở wasn’t very hot when it came out and the noodles were a bit overcooked. My friend and I both had upset stomachs that night and into today… So that leads me to believe it wasn’t anything else we’d eaten. I noticed this stomach upset a couple hours after my meal. I’m super picky about my phở so I will probably just go elsewhere next time. We just went here due to location.

My wife and I have been searching for a place to fill that phở hole in our lives, and we were sad that thus far this is the only one we’ve found and it’s more than a half hour drive away! Oh well, that beats the four hours to our previous one from our previous city! We originally came here for H-Mart and Tofu House, but Tofu House was closed the Wednesday before Thanksgiving so we had to come up with a new plan. When we saw a nearby Vietnamese place we figured it was worth a try since we come to H-Mart fairly often. We weren’t disappointed! It was a little confusing when we walked in, though. There was nobody at the front desk and no sign clarifying whether it was a seat yourself or wait to be seated situation, but the family ahead of us was standing awkwardly so we decided to stand awkwardly a little behind them. Sure enough, a lady came by after a few minutes to ask how many were in our party, and after only a brief awkward solo stand we were seated. We don’t have good Vietnamese in Cherokee county, we’ve begun to realize, so we took advantage of this menu. We ordered pork spring rolls, ban mi, phở, and the claypot catfish. Yes, I recognize that’s food for at least three people. Don’t judge. The spring roll was a little misleading in our opinion. We saw pork and may have skipped reading the details, but it was sausage and not charbroiled pork like most of our beloved pork spring rolls from Vietnamese places in the past. The ban mi was good, but the jalapenos were fully loaded with heat. I’m a spice wimp, but my Korean-American wife is not, and even she had to take them out, which made me feel not quite so bad. The meatballs in her phở were full of unidentified white and clear gelatinous chunks, so she basically didn’t eat those, but did enjoy the broth and other cuts of meat. My catfish was pretty good, although I think the preparation would be better with a salt water fish. I had to ask for my tea to be refilled, but they had sweet tea, which is unusual for a sit-down Vietnamese place. We also had no clear idea of who our waiter was since everything was brought by different people, but everything came out more or less the way we wanted. We’ll keep looking for a comparable place closer to us, but until we find it this will be our go-to Vietnamese place!

Quick stop for a bite after a nearby round of golf. Reasonably priced Vietnamese fare in an elegant setting. I opted for the beef pro bowl… it was huge and served steaming! You can get your choice of meats(up to three, I believe) which comes in broth and a large side of the typical fresh veggies and herbs. The noodles in the broth were of a cellophane style and went very well with the entire dish. Hearty and satisfying!!!

Overall it was a good experience. However, if you’re looking for authentic Vietnamese food, this is not the place for you. I got the spicy beef noodle(bun Bo hue), the broth was spicy enough but it lacked the aroma from the lemon grass. The meat that they had in the BBH was definitely NOT the right kind and it just came in a heaping clump that made it unappetizing. I don’t think I would return, I’ll go to Phở Dai Loi for good BBH next time. 2 stars because our friends food came out 15 min after we all had ours, and we had to ask for our drinks 3 times.

Good service, reasonable prices and awesome food. I am not Vietnamese but was recommended this restaurant by a colleague who is Vietnamese. The service used to be slow as snails when this place opened some years ago but has been good for recent visits. Lat time I visited I got the Spicy Beef Boodle soup and boy it was a delight to eating the soup in the cold rainy weather. This place is as good as it gets in the Johns Creek area for Vietnamese food.

One word, awesome!!! This place is great, everything is super fresh and delicious. New to town we were looking for something different, this place certainly delivered. Nice staff, ambiance and great menu. Can’t wait to go back and try some of the other items on the menu. FYI — if you do the noodle bowl, the large is definitely LARGE! Great place check it out for sure!

I wouldn’t know authentic Vietnamese cuisine if it bit me on the nose. That said, I really liked Le Mekong as a dining experience. My girlfriend treated me to dinner here as a new experience and we both found it very enjoyable. We tried to eat stuff that seemed authentic. That effort was kicked off with an order of the betel leaf rolls, which were quite different and quite delicious. They have subtle flavors that are savory(probably from the beef) and a little bitter with a very slight sweet finish. I can honestly say I’ve never tasted anything like them. Great start! We each got a beer with our meals. I got a Tiger(Singapore) and my girlfriend had a 33(Japan, I think?). They complimented our main courses perfectly. I decided to try the clay pot rice which was described as jasmine rice with vegetables and choice of protein. I didn’t realize it was cooked and served in the actual clay pot. I had chicken on mine and it was delicious! My only hesitations are that the rice was pretty much just steamed rice which is okay and the pot was so hot that I couldn’t eat my food comfortably for a while, but I like my food cooler anyway. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant throughout the meal. They seem to work as a team and combine efficiency with courtesy. The ambiance is lovely too, very relaxing like a spa in a way. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and though I felt terribly full, I found myself going back into that clay pot for one more bite. The vegetables were so tender and the sauce really tied the whole dish together. I felt totally satisfied when we left. The meal was great, but I can’t quite call it a 5-star experience. Maybe it’s just my inexperience with southeastern Asian cuisine. I can definitely say I’ll be back and eager to try something new!

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the huge water feature in the middle of the dining room. It was so pretty, as was the rest of the restaurant! They also had peaceful music playing in the background, which was very relaxing. We browsed the drink menu first. They do only serve wine and beer here. The wine list is decent, with more white wine to choose from than red. They also offer a few different Asian beers. We ordered a 33(Vietnamese beer) and a Tiger(beer from Singapore). I thought they were both pretty good. The food we ordered: –Grilled Pork Rolls($ 5.00) — This comes with four rolls. Tasted fresh and was served with a yummy sauce. Good, but nothing too special. I probably wouldn’t order again. –Seafood phở($ 9.00) — YUMMY! Comes with shrimp, squid, and imitation crab with rice noodles and is served in beef broth. I would definitely order it again! –Spicy Beef Noodle Soup($ 8.50) — My girlfriend ordered this and loved it. I just had a taste of the spicy lemongrass broth. Not my thing, but she was raving about it. All of the soups are served in a «medium» bowl, but you can make it a large for an additional $ 1.50. The medium is already huge though. I had plenty left over! Good food, generous portion sizes, and affordable prices… and a nice atmosphere? I’ll be back for sure!

Le Mekong is one of my favorite spots to go to during my lunch breaks at work. They serve mostly Vietnamese and some Chinese dishes. I included links to both the lunch and dinner menus below so you can check it out for yourself. I’m just commenting on lunch since that’s the only time I’ve ever been here. The inside of the restaurant is real nice and classy. They have ample room when it comes to seating so you should be able to get a table rather easily if it’s not too packed. Don’t let the name of the place scare you off. They cater to everyone and the menu is easy enough to understand so you’ll know exactly what you are ordering. Overall, I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re a fan of Chinese/Vietnamese food and are looking for a good place in Johns Creek to grab lunch, definitely check this place out! My Recommendations: –Beef Noodle Combination(phở dac biet) –Spicy Beef Noodle(bun bo hue) Menu:

Loved this place. It was nice inside, the food was full of taste, and the price was right. We ordered the Shrimp Spring Rolls, they were good but could have used more shrimp. The spring to shrimp ratio was a little off balance in my opinion, but the sauce was great so that saved it. Then out came the Phở. I’m no Phở expert, but I thought it was great. The«medium» size was like a punch bowl. We could have easily just split one bowl.

/TL;DR Seating that looks typical of American restaurants. Very good service. Pretty decent food. Free drink with a Unilocal check-in as well. /ATMOSPHERE What do you think of when you think Vietnamese restaurant? A bunch of community style tables and folding chairs? Well, this place isn’t that. It feels upscale in comparison to most but really it’s just not completely basic. Tables, booths, table-side check service. Inconceivable! /FOOD This place is the phở king of awesome. Actually I had the pork and dumpling noodles and fresh shrimp spring rolls. Everything tasted great. Good to know there’s a great option for phở nearby. My mom even liked the phở. She hates phở. What the phở? /SERVICE Excellent service. Very attentive, friendly, and quick. HOWTOREADMYREVIEWS: 1 Star — Does not approach edible. Funny that I’m writing this review exactly 3 years after I visited this restaurant for the first time. I remember the date because it was my second day on my new job and my manager at the time took me here for lunch. I immediately was impressed by the décor of Le Mekong, and the modern feel of the restaurant. We ordered summer rolls, and they were nice and fresh. And of course, we both ordered the phở. This was my first time trying it, and it quickly became one of my favorite foods. I’ve tried phở in other places over the years, but I still prefer to make the trek to Johns Creek just to go to Le Mekong… and I work from home in Atlanta so I really have no other reason driving that far, except to have lunch at this restaurant. Crazy, I know… but it’s worth it!

This is an excellent authentic Vietnamese food option if you’re not wanting to make the drive to Buford Hwy. My mother and husband have visited a few times before me and said that their rice dishes and stir fried noodle dishes were good. When it was finally my turn to come for lunch I was in a phở mood. My mother said the same thing a lot of Unilocalers said: it’s good phở, but not the best. I got«beef» phở(phở tai) with eye of round, Vietnamese meatballs, and fatty brisket as well as an order of spicy basil beef with steamed rice. Why two dishes? I really wanted phở but also to try something new. The broth was pretty good. Much better than I Luv Phở, but not on the same level as Dai Loi. The brisket and eye of round were both tender, the noodles were not overcooked, and their was a good amount of onions. The spicy basil beef isn’t over the top spicy and the sauce was thick enough to cling to the beef and veggies(carrots, onions, and bell peppers) rather than sliding around the plate. I also got to try some of the Chow Fun(thanks Mom!) and it was delicious! The flat rice noodles with bean sprouts, beef, and onions in a notoverly sweet brown sauce… perfect! I will definitely come back. Please beware that if you’re stopping for lunch during the work week, the earlier the better. They get packed at lunch around 12. Also, a lot of people come with their coworkers in groups of 10+ which causes a backup in the kitchen so you’re food may take a while.
