We had a birthday party at Liberty State Park for our son and Two Boots delivered pizzas. The pizza was delicious and dealing with Aaron was a real pleasure!

I had the Mr. Pink small pizza delivered via Seamless, and first they called to say they don’t have any more of the Cajun chicken that’s supposed to come with it, and instead they’ll replace with buffalo chicken. I said sure, why not. As soon as I opened the pizza box, I knew this was going to be a disappointment. The large slices of uncooked tomatoes covering the pizza gave it a sad, soggy appearance, while the splattering of buffalo chicken seemed to have been thrown on without care. Some pieces were tiny while other chunks were huge. The slice itself was very soft, bordering on uncooked, and the cheese very uninspiring. I think they tried to overcompensate with a strong oregano flavor. I’ve been to the Two Boots in East Village many times before, and I came into the Jersey City establishment expecting a similar experience. Boy, was I disappointed. They shouldn’t bear the same name as its NYC brethren.

I was in THEE only mood for pizza and Two Boots brought. it. This is the only place I know that serves a cornmeal crusted pizza and it’s amazing. The crunch that the cornmeal gives the pizza is out of this world. Sometimes I make some at home but I have not been able to find a place where they serve pizza with this type of crust. Delicious, simple, and quick. They have beer on draft which is amazing AND you can have some of it outside! When in the area and in the mood for some pizza, this is a great go to spot.

Fantastic place! You absolutely have to get the pesto and jalapeño dipping sauces. Love all the pizzas, special nod to the 11.

Pizza was good. Favorite is the cleopatra jones. Had to give 3 stars because of the service(or lack thereof). I’ve worked in jobs in which I had to deal directly with customers and, therefore, this review is not being written without any knowledge of customer service. My friend and I ordered a slice of pizza each and one beer each. Our pizza was given to us promptly but our drinks were not. We were even carded by the woman taking our order. However, as more people filled this place, she decided to take more orders instead of fulfilling ours.

Quick delivery is the reason for two stars, food alone deserves no star!!! I ordered 18″ grandma ross and garlic knots and both of them were very disappointing. $ 26 pizza came with thick and dry dough and over burnt cheese. I just can stress enough how bad the dough was, it was so hard, dry and flavorless. Man, I have never eaten such horrible pizza dough in my life before! Garlic knots were very mushy!

$ 4.23 one slice The Newman. The cheese and crust were fresh but the sausage smelled badly. I ate it because I was hungry but I don’t think it should smell so badly. The location is good near the PATH station and there are other more expensive and less fresh pizza parlors nearby.

Nice quick bite to eat. Ordered just a slice a cheese and as I walked and ate I immediately noticed how crispy the bottom and crust were without being over cooked. It was great. So much flavor even just for a basic cheese slice!

This is a place to eat after a night of going out. It is right next to most of the good bars in downtown jersey city. I never ate here when I was sober because I do not eat pizza like that. I only enjoy it when I am drinking. The pizza was satisfies your stomach after a night of drinking.

We were from Chicago and I was eager to do the New York /chicago comparison. East Coast Pizza wins hands down and Two Boots was excellent absolutely no complaints

This is not your dollar slice. A plain slice is $ 2.50 — not an issue when it’s 3am and you’re fighting off the next morning’s hangover but boy, the flavors were just OK(note: «just OK» is hard to do when you’re drunk). Sauce was a tad bit too sweet. The pepperoni slice was slightly better, but not $ 3.50-a-slice good. Pro: they are open until 3:30am on Fridays so reliable place to go after a few too many drinks.

There is one word to describe this place: huh? Average pizza, above average prices. It’s either part of a chain or a part of a number of similar establishments. Tried their food one too many times; each time was a mistake.

You know, I’ve known about Two Boots for like 7 years, and never stepped foot in one(no pun intended). Their name is a riff on the cajun toppings they put on their pizza(Louisiana and Italy are both boot-shaped). Anyway, after a long night of drinking, we needed to soak up some booze, and Two Boots was conveniently open. I assume they make most of their money from drunkards at 3am. Ordered the Cleopatra Jones(sweet sausage, roasted peppers, onions) and the Tony Clifton(mushrooms, onions, red pepper pesto). Maybe it was because I was drunk(not sure if I mentioned that), but it was some great pizza. And this was after I already had pizza earlier that day for lunch. I’m a Brooklyn kid, so when I like gimmicky slices, that means they’re good. That’s a rule I just made up. But Two Boots is now in my rolodex of drunk food staples. Luckily, there’s a bunch of them back in NYC.

I visited Two Boots this past Saturday night and was so excited to see a location in Jersey City. I’ve only been two the NYC locations and they never disappoint. This time however, I was let down. The good news is that they’re open late on weekends for those who have been out all night drinking or for those who want a late night slice. I had a plain and a slice of «The Bird.» I’m pretty easy to please when it comes to food, so I was surprised by how disappointing the plain slice was. It had an overwhelming taste of oregano, which I thought was odd. The person I was with also thought the same thing. Being that their slices are about 3.95, it was just upsetting that their plain slices weren’t better. As far as the other slice, it was very good. I highly recommend trying their specialty slices. I would definitely come back to this location and give it another shot.

I’ve been to two boots in NYC and now this location. All the 3 of us tasted was an overwhelming amount of oregano. It was on the cheese and even more in the sauce. The slices also broke off into pieces as you tried to pick it up. Prices range but are about $ 3.80 per slice. The«bird» slices we got to go I hope are better because they don’t have sauce. Its chicken, buffalo, scallions, jalapeños, and cheese. They are known for specialty slices, different flavors and toppings. They also have beer and expensive«cheap wine» which is $ 18 per bottle. There is a black and white movie showing without sound. Pretty cool, but that’s about all I like about two boots. Big let down and a waste of money. Won’t be back, plenty of other pizza places that are more reliable.

Gave Two Boots another shot. Because it was 2am on a Friday and I needed pizza. NEEDED. They stopped delivery but we were able to pick it up. Buffalo Chicken — wasn’t too much of a buffalo chicken flavor here but it was still pretty good. Bayou Beast — BEWARETHEBAYOUBEAST. This was TOOSPICY for me to even eat. I am not super sensitive to spice but this was a bit too much. I picked some of the shrimp off though and those were pretty solid. I liked that they have a simple online ordering system. No need to talk to other humans, yay!

Came here once for late night. There’s actually a pizza place like around the corner next to McDs, but please don’t make the mistake of going to that one. Two Boots is actually a lot better. The selection they have is modest, but the cheese pizza is already so good, so you may as well just get that one. I think the best thing about this place is the crust of the pizza. I think there’s something special in it, because it tastes a lot better than a lot of crusts I have had. Definitely worth trying.

This is very close to the Grove Street Path Station. Came earlier today and decided instead of pizza to go traditional Cajun with their Po’Boys. They offer two, the Rosemary Chicken piquant marinade and the Blackened Catfish with Cajun spices. We got both. The chicken I found to have medium heat throughout. It is a decent size with plenty of chicken. If you want the spice to sneak up on you try the catfish. To drink, I tried something called the Fizzy Lizzy. Which comes in many flavors. I had the tangerine passion fruit. Would like to come back with friends and try some of their specialty pizzas as the Cleopatra Jones pie caught my eye. They even have a Jersey City only pie named after the infamous mayor, Boss Hague. There are several locations on the Eastern Seaboard. There is probably one near you. Also of some note they offer whole wheat pies, have gluten free crust on small pies and Vegan options.

So I’m continuing my search for easily accessible vegan food with my vegan friend and I find out that the Two Boots Pizza chains actually all serve at least 1 variety of vegan pizza! So we dashed over to the nearest location in Jersey City and picked up a few slices. I have always liked Two Boots Pizza, but have never had a vegan slice, or daiya cheese for that matter. We tried a slice of the V for Vegan and the Bubba. Both tasted just as good as any non-vegan pizza. The crust was thin and crunchy, but strong enough to hold up the sauce and toppings. I especially liked the sauce on the Bubba and the artichoke hearts on the V for Vegan. I wouldn’t have known the daiya cheese wasn’t actually cheese unless you told me. If all vegan pizza is this good, I wouldn’t mind choosing it over a meaty, non-vegan slice.

I wanted to like two boots a lot. I’m new to the neighborhood and finding a go to pizza joint nearby is critical to the move in process. The décor is vibrant and funky(I’m talking Mardi Gras beads all over the walls) and they’ve got slices with quirky names like«The Dude» and«Night Tripper». But alas, their pizza was just okay. Not terrible, not out of this world, but just average. I didn’t try any of their speciality slices and opted for plain cheese, but that’s usually the best way to get a pulse on the quality. The ‘za just wasn’t crispy and the sauce lacked in flavor and seasoning. Disclaimer: My slice was not bad by any means, but I wasn’t blown away. It’s just evident that this is from a chain and tasted generic. Next time I come back I’ll grab a speciality slice and see if that makes any sort of difference.
