We tried this pizza place after seeing Broadway had closed across the street. We ordered garlic knots (very dry despite the oil they were swimming in) and a margarita pizza. When we got it home we realized it was a cheese pizza with pockets of red sauce. Disappointing.

Im so glad they exist, I go there whenever I’m home sick because their pizza is just like NY! Beware tho, this place gets soooo crowded. for good reason !

First time today, disappointing. People told me it was very good, best in town, but I have to disagree. Probably good enough if you have not eaten any decent pizza in Jacksonville. Crust was too tough, sauce to blah, and the pepperoni was like the Hormel brand you could buy at the store. Worst of all the price was ridiculous for what I got.

Great service. Hands down. If you like 80’s music (which I do) they played a run down of it while I was here. Calamari was fabulous, wings were good, however if you have a sensitive tongue then don’t get buffalo-​was still kinda hot to me. Cheese sticks were ok, and the pizza was close to NY, ingredients were, but style no. They still came in little triangles. Overall, food was good and we only paid $ 36.72 for all the food I listed. I’d come back.

We are new to Jacksonville. As soon as we walked into Tony D’s we could tell this was a family business that was managed by the family. We had a Stromboli and a calzone. They were both excellent. The service was outstanding! Looking forward to our next visit

I searched for a pizza joint on Unilocal while traveling and based on most of the reviews, we drove 15 miles out of our way to give it a chance. I an so glad we did. We were greeted with happy faces and seated immediately (8:30 pm). My friend started off with a slice of meat lovers pizza. He said it was fantastic, crispy thin crust and delicious. All 3 of us proceeded to order Calzone, NY Style loaded with veggies, meat and ricotta. Absolutely amazing. The crust was crispy and light, and the filling was delicious. It was so big but I actually ate the entire Calzone. I can EAT some EYEtalian food now… (heh). So if either a local in Jacksonville or a native New Yorker (like us) on a road trip, do yourself a favor and stop at Tony D’s. Manga.
Oh yeah… they are NOT sisters.

Very good pizza. I can trust a guy that has black and white cookies on the counter for sale and Yankees logos on the wall. Cute little restaurant, will definitely be back to dine in. I got 2 large (16″) pies to go, good size slices, just enough grease, salt, and cheese. A good crust makes a great pizza and tony D makes a great pizza crust!

Great food, great prize and great service. Can’t wait to come back. The steak calzone taste like a delicious Philly cheesesteak. they also have pizza by the slice !! Its so hard to find it around this area that is good as well as different type.

Ordered some takeout tonight — back olives, pepperoni, meatballs, and half a dozen of buffalo wings. It has been a horrible week for the Lady and I, so it was nice to just grab some pizza and head home.
The staff could not have made it a more pleasant week. Absolutely EVERYONE was on point, greeted, and interacted with us — all while waiting. If we’d been up for it, yes: I would recommend eating in.
As for the takeout, pie was still hot twenty minutes later. fantastic crust to sauce/​cheese ratio. More of a new york style crust. Buffalo wings were a proper Rochester blend of the sauce (more akin to Frank’s Red Hot), with a perfect deep fry. Absolutely worth every single penny, and will definitely go again.

Awesome! ! Jason is the best. And OMG the shrimp parm wish I tried this before. Absolutely delicious. The shrimp were huge. Easily U 15 sized and fresh. This is my go to local place. Love love love

Went their for the first time last night with a coupon. I didn’t even have to say a word the coupon was picked up and they not only honored it but gave me more than it stated it was worth. The service was excellent– our drinks never went empty. Our table was pre-​bussed. Their presentation is unique and awesome. I can’t say enough about how great our experience was. It motivated me to write my first Unilocal review ever. Thank you for such a great night– we will be back and will be bringing people!

Tony D’s was outstanding! I was in town on business and had a taste for pizza. I ordered the small Sicilian pizza at Tony D’s and it was excellent.
The staff was also excellent. Alivia had my table and was very helpful and personable. She did a great job making sure that I had everything that I needed.
Tony D’s is going on my list of places to eat when visiting Jacksonville.

Good pizza; slow service. I live 5 minutes from this joint, but my pizza took 55 minutes to arrive. It was room temperature by the time I got to eat it. Also, they charge $ 2.75+ per topping (for a large), but they are seriously SLACKING on the actual toppings. If they’re charging the same price as a gallon of gas per topping, I’d expect a decent amount of what I’m paying for.

First we were greeted by our server Kennedy who was very prompt, pleasant, and informative offering slugfest ion for our 1st time. Never once did I have to ask for a refill (big deal when I rate service) !!!
2nd we soon brought fresh hot garlic knots with piping hot sauce for dipping very good flavor!
Then our pizza game. We got the meat lovers and I must say it was very very good! Great crust, great amount of cheese and toppings, and not overloaded with sauce !!! Very solid 4 stars and will surely be back !!!

I was in town on business and looking for a nice local place to get an inexpensive lunch. I am very finicky with my star levels so you had better be out of this world to get 5 stars.
That being said Tony’s gets a strong 3 stars on my rating scale. This was a successful stop for lunch as it is a clean, friendly place with solid food and a place to relax and not rush.
There are so many choices and cleanliness and friendliness are on the top of my list before I even take a bite of food. The nice woman who took my order and served me was attentive, friendly and fast and my lunch was really good. I just had a side salad, slice of cheese and a drink for $ 6.50 and it was terrific.
I’ll be back.

I’m on the move today and I’m a Jersey girl so I figured I’d try tony ds. I’m all about trying to place that says they’re from New York or New Jersey the difference is I can actually pick the difference he seemed a little disorganized when I got in but the pizza was ok. netter than most but not in my top 5
Since they are from New York that’s a little bit of an attitude and pizza very greasy. I would try again just not sure what

This is a small pizza place. You can get pizza by the slice which is what I did. The pizza is New York style. You order at the counter and get your own drink. The service was friendly and my slice of margherita pizza was very good.
