Well me in a book store is a rarity to say the least. But, I was on a mission and this was the only way that I was going to complete my quest. The Food Truck book is out and there was no way that I was the first one. Something about the author getting the first copies. I walked in(get this) right when they opened and they didn’t have any more copies. The nice lady behind the counter told me that they are expecting some more in soon. Maybe tomorrow or Monday. So I gave her my info and low n behold she called me about 3 hours later. We have some more and I got one with your name on it. Zoom zoom just like a new truck was coming out. I was there I a flash and thumbing the pages like a mad man. Thanks you miss and maybe I’ll see you some other time. Now to go find where I’m mentioned in the book. To the car Batman…

Beautifully-designed book shop in San Marco’s walkable area… A great stop on your way to Theatre Jacksonville. Their new books are easy to find. The older selections and classics have good strong bindings in surprisingly excellent condition. I love browsing this family-owned shop and adding to my book collection.

San Marco Bookstore is such a charming place. It is relatively small, just a little shop in the middle of the San Marco Square, with old, used books lining the narrow aisles. I have come here so many times just to browse. I love checking out all the old history books [some great finds on Jacksonville’s history!] and the vintage coffee table books. The selection for reading is kind of scattered, but if you are open minded you can surely find something you want to read. They also have a lot of nice knick-knacks towards the front of the store that are always fun to check out, as well, and make for great gifts. If you are a lover of literature, you will love the San Marco Bookstore.

Nice selections, great display. Jacksonville service! I walked in and two people sat on their collective asses and didnt bother to even nod at me. Its a used bookstore, in my world you atleast say hi welcome can i help you kiss my ass — something! I walked around forgetting about them and looking at books — problem was at the end of each isle(the store is really small and tightly orgranized with high wooden shelves — — - serious waste of a nice shop) anyway at the end of each isle I was back at the desk — never once did they speak. I picked up two books at random and walked to the desk — stood with them and waited nothing is there a way to go around Jacksonville? Damn I love Atlanta btw, I left the books Someone told me business are closing all over San Marco –the economy hit us hard– I thought to myself ‘no lady the service hit yall hard’
