Best bar in Jax… great place for stiff drinks, a game of pool, and quality people. If you want a real bar, O’Malleys is for you. The owner is awesome.

For most people who are wanting to enjoy a night out with friends or even just a beer afterwork to unwind, you want it to be a pleasant experience. This establishment is not pleasant. After having one bad night there we attempted it again for the sake of a friends birthday. Big mistake on our part. The bartender Barb is completely incompetent, has the personality of a bowling shoe and has NOBUSINESS dealing with the public. The drinks are outrageously over priced, the tabs are never for the right amount and they are very partial to who they serve. If you are not a regular especially be prepared to wait. SHE chooses who SHE feels deserves to be served despite your 15 minute wait for 2 washington apple shots while there is no one else in line, The WORST bar in Mandarin. If you want a nice night out with friends, great bar and food service then go to Monkey’s Uncle. Best bartenders in town, great bands, excellent food. Boycott Barb at Omalleys. awful place, awful person, awful prices.

The home of low expectations. Seen a lot of complaints about O’Malley’s, OK I can see how that can happen. This place really is what you make of it. Its a dive, it looks like a refugee from the 70’s, they even still have a foosball table fer cryin’ out loud. Hey, where’s the air hockey? Strategically located next to a Goodwill and Big Lots. I think thats where most of their customers come from. I get my car detailed across the street, so I always fall into O’Malley’s for a few beers while I’m waiting on my car. The longnecks are cold, the bar has a comfortable but weird vibe with all the regulars around with cigarettes hanging out or their mouths, and this is definitely not the place to watch a ball game. Just a few TVs over the bar… small TVs, old pool tables, a couple of Fred and Gingers looking out of place trying to dance to Metallica. Call ahead to find out if Lexi is bartending, she’s great and makes a terrific bloody. Or, just walk in and if you find a cute blonde behind the bar, have a seat. If you don’t, make an about face. Trust me on this.

I don’t trust this place, specifically the old bartender. I use to be a regular only because it was close. Then the older bartender accused me that I owe them a bill I didn’t pay. Okay? Fine. Maybe I was drunk and forgot but that’s fine I’ll pay for it. Im an honest kind hearted person, so I paid for an extra $ 50 bill one time, which no way I drank that much but whatever. Then every time I walk in she keeps accusing me the same crap even though I know for a fact I paid, and somehow drives my tab to $ 70 for a few drinks. I’ll even prove to her she is wrongfully accusing me too. I showed her my cc statement on my phone but said she didn’t believe my phone?!? Lol. I take pride in my integrity and I’m accountable person and do not ever have this problem anywhere else I go… and I mean ever in my life, but she is clearly just targeting me and trying to scam me every time! And she is rude. My friends who also hung out here complained about the«customer service» too. So it’s not just me. Get a new bartender and they’ll get my business back.

Went for a friend’s surprise party… the 30 of us were practically the only people there on a Friday night. I stood at the bar for about 10 minutes while the 60 something year old bar tender walked past me no less then a dozen times. When she finally acknowledged me, I asked for a club soda.(I don’t drink) She rolled her eyes and said it would be $ 3.75…for carbonated water? I think not, so I said I would have a water instead, she looked me square in the eye and said, «This is bar, you have to pay for things here.» Now don’t get me wrong, I worked in F&B for many years in college and understand she makes a percentage of what she sells, which is why I was prepared to tip her for turning on the faucet and handing me a glass of water… but you know what? The only reason she is going to make a percentage of ANYTHING tonight is the party we brought in. Needless to say I will not be back to this smokey dive bar with rude staff again. Awful service!

It’s a great place to go out and have a good night of drinking with friends! It’s also been around ever since I can remember having grown up in the area.

I’ve been to this bar twice. The first time I ordered a water(DD) and when I asked for a refill I was told they were going to start charging me for it. The second time I was there I had just got off of work and was meeting a group that had been there for an hour or more already. I ordered a margarita and what I received had no alcohol in it. I know it didn’t have any because I’m a lightweight and I rarely drink so I can taste and feel alcohol very easily. I asked the server about it and she told me that if I wanted a double it would be an upcharge of $$, which is fine and all but I didn’t want a double. I wanted a single. I just didn’t get it. So I got to be DD that night too. Needless to say I won’t be back, and I won’t suggest anyone else go here either. If I want to smell like smoke and not get drunk I can do that for free at plenty of other places.

This place is the classic Irish pub. Music, billiards, smoking, drinking. It’s everything this ¼ Irish gal could dream of. Yea, it is a bit smokey inside, and you have to serve yourself but it isn’t terribly crowded for a Friday night and you can hear yourself talk, which is always a plus. The drinks are strong and reasonably priced. I could do with less smoke. But I wouldn’t mind going back. In fact, it is on the list for date night this Friday.
