My husband and I went to this mattress one location with very little knowledge and a lot of questions concerning the purchase of a new mattress set. The salesman was sitting at the desk when we walked in, and did not acknowledge us until we had already been in the store for close to 10 mins. When he approached us he started talking about their current sale telling us that they had great deals on this bed and that bed. We weren’t as concerned about what was on sale as we were with finding a good replacement for the bed we have had for the last 15 years. We told him we were thinking of spending around $ 1000 for a king and he seemed to instantly lose interest in what we had to say. He never asked us any questions, If he had he would have known that we only came up with that amount because we had no idea what mattresses cost today. Another couple came into the store and the salesman never returned to us. When we decided to leave, we did not get a «have a nice day» nothing. We didn’t even get his name or else I would have been sure to include it in this review. He was rude, condescending, and very unhelpful.
On a positive note, a few weeks later we continued our search and ended up at the mattress firm down the road and bought a tempur pedic breeze bed after getting a tremendous amount of information and the sales lady there had taken the time to «fit» us to the right bed! I cannot be more pleased with our purchase and the awesome customer service provided by Mattress Firm!!!
Beware of Mattress One! You will not get the help or information that you need!

Buyer beware! I purchased a very expensive Tempurpedic mattress from JJ at this store on Roosevelt with the only condition that the delivery make it in time for our anniversary. «No problem» was the assurance I received and the driver the next day told me that it would be delivered between 3 and 6. By the time that 6:30 rolled around and we were ready to head out for dinner that night I called back to find that it would be much later that night. I reminded them that if they couldn’t get there on time then I would be forced to order from Mattress Firm down the street. Getting the bed in time for my wife was my only condition. Bottom line, they couldn’t give me any guarantees and I ordered another one of the same beds from the competitor.
READ THE FINE PRINT. They claim a 20% cancellation fee only. I found this out only after I went to the store the next day and only after they sent me to their customer service department in Orlando. The Roosevelt store claims that they «can’t process credits» and the customer service department does their best to avoid you. It’s obvious that this is one of their tactics for making money as in this case the cancellation fee is nearly $ 1000!

I have to say, buying a mattress can be overwhelming and a real pain. I have visited virtually every mattress store in this town and did tons of research online. Although my experience overall wasn’t horrible I was confronted with several pushy sales people and made to feel uncomfortable by a few along the way. I ended up buying a sealy posturepedic Ruskin from mattress one on Roosevelt blvd (location just opened recently). I was helped by Don who is almost always the only one there, and, what a relief! He was absolutely amazing! So helpful, remembered who I was when I visited a second time, extremely knowledgeable, helpful without being overbearing, helped me out without pushing me beyond my price range and overall just a charming guy. He even called me on my delivery day to let me know they were on their way. Not all sales associates are pushy and dismissive. Visit Don the next time you are mattress shopping and you will be glad you did.
