So after wearing glasses and contacts for 23 years, I decided it was time for me to invest in getting Lasik surgery. No more eye exams and getting fitted for contacts every year, and no more buying new frames, contacts and supplies every year, ever again!
My cousin and I went together to have a free consultation to determine our eligibility for the surgery and to get a quote of how much it would cost altogether if we decided to go for it. Dr. Orta met with us; she was very friendly and professional and addressed us by our first names, making the experience personal. I liked her immediately and enjoyed conversing with her during my consultation and follow up visits. The LasikPlus staff was also very friendly and professional, helped us with our financial concerns and worked with us to get the cost for the surgery lower. The atmosphere of the office was very clean and relaxing, with free snacks, tea and coffee for anyone who wants them.
While my cousin decided not to have her surgery just yet, I decided to go for it since I got a really good deal and I was READY to ditch the glasses and contacts! You will receive an rx for drops that you need to take a day before your surgery, and drops to take for a week or so after your surgery. Dr. Alban performed the surgery and she was really great at getting me to stay relaxed and calm during the whole process, which took about 15 minutes. The aftermath was horrible, I wanted to scratch my eyes out, but as directed I went home immediately after to take a nap. When I woke up several hours later I could see immediately (the the clawing your eyes out feeling went away). It was the best feeling ever to not have to reach for my glasses. And the best part was Dr. Alban called me later on that evening to see how I was doing and that I was resting well.
I went for my follow up visits and everything was looking good and my eyes were healing well. The staff was still as friendly and professional as always and they make you really feel at home. I’m so glad that I got the surgery and I highly recommend LasikPlus if you are considering the surgery as well! No more glasses and contacts!

Had PRK done here and I’m very happy with the results. The cost is lower than some other consults I had, probably because outside of the surgery the other service received here is pretty basic. The techs weren’t terribly knowledgeable… let’s just say I’m glad the surgery went well and I had no ill effects. The docs were great and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
