Dick’s Wings & Grill – Argyle

Ate/​drank here four times during a six day business trip. Staff pretty friendly, although some slowness. Good bartenders. I didn’t do the wings but their onion rings and regular hamburger were very good. Burger made medium NOT med-​well or hockey puck. Good job of handling big parties. Pleasant atmosphere and plenty of tvs.

If we were not meeting someone here I would have left when I walked in. I thought this was a Restruant with a bar in it, but I was wrong. This is clearly a bar that serves food. The music was playing so loud when we walked in you had to raise your voice way above a normal conversation level to speak to each other. It was trivia night and a lot of people were having fun including some at out table. The food was average at best. It was not bad, but not worth a trip. The service on the other hand was great. Our server took great care of us even when she was busy. If you are looking for a bar this would be a good place. If you are looking for a restaurant this is not the place to go. It is also NOT a child friendly place.

Nothing fancy, the place is convenient, competent and dependable for decent wings, really good waffle fries, and the usual bar food. It helps to let them know exactly what you want, and I find the wait staff usually interested in making sure I get it. They do tend to add a little more heat to the wings than I ask for, but outside of that, its a regular stop for us… especially on the days they run specials.

I went there last night and waited over an hour for our food. We were starving and had to watch people who came after us eat before us.

Started off being seated and the table was dirty. Then the waitress asked me what I wanted before I had time to browse. We ordered an appetizer and drinks. Then a game of inside cornhole started right beside use, so there were bean bags whizzing by me! I understand it was raining outside, but how about just cancel this one rather than disturb your diners. Moving on, drinks were a stiff pour, appetizer came out fast. Wings came out 1 min after appetizer. The wings were small. The southwest rolls were good, there were 3 in a serving. I got 5 wings bourbon mild flavor and my husband ordered 10 cajun ranch hot. Mine were too hot to be mild. They were cooked fine and the taste was good. Two servers came to our table with food asking if that was our order… as we are eating our order? A little organization would be nice. The bill came and I was shocked to find that they apparently don’t have regular jack and they charged me for blavk without asking me, my husband’s double of capn was only 1 dollar more than my single. The waitress was very short in conversation every time she cane by the table in a whisp. We will not return here. The food and beverage was over priced, the atmosphere was not comfortable and the service wasn’t exemplary.

My party of 3 were seated promptly. No one stopped to ask us for drinks. …over 15 minutes passed. They were not busy. Was it bc we were a mixed crowd? I’d hate to think that’s the reason. …it was unfortunate. We gave them few more minutes. …and nothing. We all left, we’re currently at Ale House.

I’m really big into customer service and I have to say, the waitress we had just now, SUCKED! We got here around 5pm and there was maybe 4 people in the entire place. she came and «dealt» with us, or what it felt like, only after being flagged down as of the place was packed! We had to ask for something from another waitress twice! And even after the other waitress helped us she still didn’t come to us. We ordered loaded waffle fries with hot buffalo sauce, when we got it we asked for a remake in a mild because it was so hot we couldn’t enjoy it, (we are fans of hot food) and when I asked for a remake it was with the other waitress we had to waive down because our waitress was too busy talking up a storm with a coworker. The waitress helping us even said, ya your waitress should’ve told you our normal hot is really hot. K. Thanks!
After we got the remake it just wasn’t good to us, we got it after our food when it was suppose to be an appetizer so we ate a fry each and we were done with it… FINALLY! after all this time our waitress showed up after I waived her down for our bill! She asked if we wanted a box for our fries… I said, no thanks, it wasn’t that great sadly… She just grabbed our other plates and said «ya, okay». In a very rude and dismissive tone! I didn’t ask her name but our. Receipt says Rachel. She’s tall, thin, and has a sleeve of roses. Horrible waitress.
I use to enjoy going to dicks on wells when Shane and his family ran that location, the atmosphere was very family friendly and very welcoming. This location on youngerman sucks. The food is mediocre and the staff is very unwelcoming and you can tell they hate working there… We will not be returning to this location.

Ordered take out from here, service was good and the staff were friendly. The food was really decent, I would give them another shot.

We came in just in time for an awesome special. Buy 10 wings get 10 free in a Friday night! Yum! We had 2 different types and our daughter had another flavor with onion rings. We also had fried green tomatoes and a few drinks. Our server was new but she was not afraid to ask questions when she needed to. It was a great time, fast, friendly and delicious. We will return when we are back in town. Thank you!

This is my go to spot on Mondays when I can’t make up my mind on what I want for dinner. Their Monday special is .50 bone in or boneless wings and $ 1.50 Yuenglings, yup you can’t beat that except you do have to pay extra for ranch, blue cheese and celery… That’s where they get you.
The seating options are plentiful. You can sit indoor, on the patio, at the bar or the outdoor patio bar. They even have pool tables and corn holes (an awesome FLORIDA STATE one may I add). The restaurant itself is pretty clean except for the men’s rooms, even after the remodel the men’s restroom is still gross especially when they are busy.
Bike night is on Wednesday, it’s mostly an older crowd but there’s a mixture of bikes… I ride a crotch rocket and I always meet some pretty cool people when I go. No drink specials though :/​
All this cool stuff but three stars? The service is garbage, especially if you are sitting on the patio trying to enjoy Florida’s beautiful weather at night. My past three visits have been pretty terrible with three different servers. The manager is usually always around and I can tell he’s trying to help his servers but they either need to learn how to be a better waitress or get another gig.

Like that place, nice food and 50 cent wings on monday. Like to get 10 – 15 wings with tasty fries and toast. Staff always very nice to customers. Been there a lot, and going to be for sure.

We ate here for the first time tonight after trying to eat at Hurricane and walking out after 10 minutes of no service. The hostess greeted us and sat us right away. It was pretty busy, but Tiffany came over pretty quickly to get our drink order. The food came out in a decent amount of time and was fantastic. We ordered the 20 wing combo for 2 and ordered the Florida Georgia lime sauce as well as the margarita ranch. The wings were crispy and had a good amount of meat on them. Tiffany made sure our drinks stayed filled and that we had plenty of sauce and the manager even stopped by to ask how everything was. We will definitely be back and make this our new weekend place.

Pretty good wings and cold beer, I am a fan of both and Dick’s has them both! large place good amount of room you never feel cramped and they have plenty of tv’s to catch the game! reasonable prices and good parking round out the place. Only wish there was one nearer to me!

I was on my way home from a meeting pretty late and really needed to grab a bite. I pulled up to this new Dick’s Wings location in Argyle at about 11 pm. I’m wary of being one of those people who shows up with a short amount of time before closing. Luckily, I checked with the waitress before seating myself, and she said there was plenty of time to still order.
I ordered some Smoky Mountain Gold wings, fries, and a sweet tea while enjoying my book. For later at night, there were still quite a few people here. My waitress was dealing with a particularly large and difficult group, aside from me. I daresay she was relieved to close out the night with such a low maintenance customer.
Compared to the locations on San Juan and Wells Road, I love this spot. The latter locations are rather run down and haven’t seen renovations/​updates in quite sometime. However, the newer locations that keep popping up are sharp and clean as a whistle. The only drawback for this locale is the high/​rush hour traffic on Blanding. I wouldn’t willingly go here during that time of day.

Good food good service. I got 10 of the boneless honey BBQ wings and they tasted good only thing that was a let down was you can’t do half and half flavors on your wings they all had to be the same flavor.

I truly appreciate Dicks Wings for keeping our Biker Night. Its like Corporate America goes home and puts on their leathers and then heads out and party’s! The night is full of friendly people and great fun. I enjoyed there pulled pork sandwiches with the home fries and especially the price, FREE!!! And the best band around rocked all the Freaks! I have already planned coming back for some of your special nights and enjoying some good olé wings. This is how the USA rolls supporting one another…

I got the buffalo tenders, Cajun Ranch Medium. My favorite flavors are the Cajun Ranch, Caribbean Gold, and Lemon Pepper. The quality of the food at this Dick’s Wings is in line with the other Dick’s Wings franchises.
That being said, this new establishment is much bigger than the other ones that I have been to, with more servers, and a larger kitchen, but I’ve found the service to be a little slow. The night I went just happened to be trivia night, but it was also the night of the NFL draft. This made for a packed restaurant and several grumpy NFL fans because they coudn’t hear the draft over the trivia. It was busy, so I didn’t expect the service to be fantastic and was fully prepared for things to come out slow. They did and that didn’t bother me but we did end up having to ask for things several times before we actually received them. Other than that and not being able to hear the draft, we had a good time.

Been going to Dicks forever, so we obviously were gonna try out the location. Décor is cool location is nice, but between the luke warm wings and the lap full of pick lemonade the waiter didn’t seem to think was a big deal, I can’t give more than 2 stars. Step your game up Dicks. I’ll give this location another try our of respect, and amend the review if necessary.

We had a horrible experience the last time I was there, but we figured we would try it again. Today, we waited at the hostess station for at least 5 minutes and still no one greeted or acknowledged we were standing there. Nonetheless, we left.

I kept hearing about this place and was not disappointed. I tried the Charlie chan and Georgia girl boneless wings. They were a decent size and the sauces were delish. The Georgia girl had some heat but not too spicy. I was only disappointed with the waffle fries that tasted like frozen. Waitress was nice and friendly.
