I’m surprised people like this restaurant so much. Thanks food is very basic. It’s OK — nothing special and I’d say it’s overpriced. The service was just OK too, with a waitress that wasn’t very friendly. I don’t plan on coming back.

I’ve been to Sea Biscuit Café a few times before and wanted to write a review. We waited for a table at least 30 minutes for breakfast. When inside, I ordered the shrimp omelet and fruit with toast. I don’t know how they do it but even the toast is excellent. Simple place, really nice breakfast. Highly recommend and worth the wait.

Always good ! Always friendly ! I enjoy the atmosphere ! It’s alway a wait! I enjoyed the pancakes. It is an odd style ! It’s thick, but not fluffy ! It is solid and moist ! It’s like eat a fried cake, but not really sweet. It’s about $ 6.50 for a short stack ! I add an egg over easy and sausage ! The fruit is fresh ! Specials are on the chalk board are always exciting ! If you looking for a good breakfast this place is it ! If you see angry at the world stay away, this place is always busy !

The gold standard for island brunch. Don’t miss out if you’re in the area. You will have to wait and the restaurant will be crowded — but isn’t that just further proof of what I’m saying?

Heard good things about the food, but couldn’t get past the horrible service and attitude. Don’t think this place would survive if it wasn’t the only place close to eat breakfast. Won’t ever go back. Would recommend to drive into Charleston or even eating from a small stand by the beach. Either one would be a better experience!

My bride and I absolutely love this place. We drove 2 ½ hours just to eat brunch here on our anniversary, and it was worth the drive and the wait. I am not one to wait for a restaurant, but this place is worth it. Their ingredients are fresh and the food is delicious. If you’re a local or just visiting the Isle of Palms, the Sea Biscuit is a must.

Fantastic for breakfast. Today was a cloudy wet day & we went there at 1030 for breakfast. About a 20 min wait. God only knows what it’s like in summer. A quaint little spot with great food. I had the crab & spinach omelette. It was fantastic. Fresh large & came with home fries & biscuits. Delish. No credit cards. CASHONLY. but there is an ATM on site. Parking tight. Will go again.

Went for lunch today. I know Sea Biscuit is better known for its breakfasts, but we always have enjoyed lunch here, too. I noted the fresh flowers on every table. It’s so peaceful to come here when the tourists are gone. Service is pleasant and very laid back. I had a lunch special — blackened chicken sandwich with avocado and it was a nice sized breast perfectly cooked. I don’t know why other Unilocalers have said it’s pricey here. I think our lunch was fairly priced. My sandwich came with a choice of side. I chose the bean salad, which was sweet and good. Our meal price, quality and value was competitive with restaurants in Mt. Pleasant. I would give them 5 stars except I dislike my iced tea served in hard plastic cups. The plastic over time affects the taste of what goes in it. But, we’ll be back. We love going to the beach just to each lunch.

We had a friend of my son who used to live on the Isle of Palms recommend the restaurant to us. We ate breakfast there last Sunday morning. There were approximately 15 people in front of us and we had maybe a 10 minute wait before being seated. The service of the staff was very quick and polite. All of the 6 people in our group were very pleased with the food and service. One important thing of note… bring cash with you. The business does not take credit cards.

Ok, if you are in the area, go there, but don’t make a special trip. Same good breakfast food, nothing special. Nice people, clean restaurant. Long lines unless you go, early. Frank G
