One of my favorite places to go, so sad to see it close down. Great staff and the regulars made you feel at home. Best of luck to all employees of this place! Wishing the best for y’all.

It was only a matter of time. When this place first opened as Sfuzzi’s it was a packed house for Happy Hour almost always. The food was good and the staff was fantastic. Unfortunately once the changes started happening, it lost its identity. While the food was as good or even better as time went on, it could never really re-catch that vibe it once had. That’s too bad. For a year or so it was my go to place to take clients for lunch, dinner and happy hour. For a little while, it was a place«where everyone knew your name». I hope the owners get back on their feet and have success in their next venture.

This review is based on a company party I hosted. I have not eaten at Table and Tavern as an individual diner. To begin with our party was moved from its agreed upon location with no notice. We showed up 15 minutes before guests were to arrive and we were all crammed into a small, minimally decorated(3 paintings/posters on the wall), private dining room. We were supposed to have been seated on the patio which we had been assured would be covered and heated — so weather would not be an issue. While they feebly offered to move us to the patio we had guests arriving and we chose to stay put rather than look disorganized to our guests — of course we already looked foolish considering we had told them all we would be on the patio — it was the first question everyone asked when they arrived. We asked that cocktails be served for about 30 minutes then we would eat. For a party of 40 people we had two servers who took an unusually long time to come back with a drink. Not sure who’s fault that was, but lots of folks stood around with nothing to drink for a long time. We had party reservations at 7 and seated our guests by 7:30 salads arrived at 9:00 pm. In the hour and a half of sitting and waiting for food we were served appetizers we had pre ordered. Seated at tables of 8, each table was served 3 slices of bruschetta and tiny portions of whatever else we ordered(unmemorable apparently). About 15 minutes later another serving of 3 pieces of brushetta shows up. That’s it. We were starving and apparently would have appreciated better math skills here. I personally liked my fish, but found it very odd that several of our guests had been steered away from the fish by the servers. They were told that the fish wasn’t very good and that the portion sizes were very mixed. Again we had preordered a fixed menu of 4 options — pretty easy to buy what you need to serve that. I can only guess that they didn’t have much of the fish and were attempting to stop people from ordering that dish. Dinner took so long and the room was so crowded that our guests left almost immediately upon finishing. At this point I get a bill that is quite incorrect. I could tell that I was obviously being charged for extra meals, desserts etc that were supposed to be part of our per head price. They got that fixed for me when I pointed it out to them, but at this point I already felt that I was being played here and there is no telling how many extra drinks etc were added to this bill that I would be unable to confirm. They got their large amount of money that night, but I will never be back. I can only suggest that they hire someone who knows how to manage a party or simply quit offering private party facilities.

I’m giving this place a 5 star review based on the taste and service I received! Though it is expensive by my standards! We don’t have too much money so we could only afford some pizzas but they were delicious and the server was excellent! We had just the Margarite pizza and the pepperoni. The pizzas were large and the crust was just delicious! The pizza was delicious. We also got drinks and they were delicious!(Edit– I just re-read this and realized I said delicious 3 times, but they were!) The atmosphere is pretty, and they have this outdoor fire, and the server was very professional.

I’ve been here at least a handful of times and the food is consistent. Red fish entrée is lush, tuna tartare while can fill outdated has a good amount of siracha. My fav is the steak salad med rare with blue cheese crumbles and bake potato croutons. Yum

Great food and great service. It was a bit of a gamble to book our anniversary party at Table and Tavern since neither my husband nor i had eaten here. But once I met with Lianna and checked out the restaurant and its dining space, I was willing to take the risk. The restaurant has a classy, upscale feel to it. And the menu has some tempting options. Our party of 26 guests was held in the semi-private dining area. The space is beautiful with a large fireplace mantel. With the curtain closed, the area felt private and intimate. The food(from their private dining buffet menu) was delicious and nicely presented. The service was super attentive and accommodating. Big Thanks to Lianna for helping me plan this event. She answered all my questions and addressed all of my concerns in a timely manner. Also, a huge thanks to Daniel and… I can’t remember the other server’s name. They were really friendly and attentive. Always coming back to check on us to see want we needed. They really did make the evening go very smoothly. We will definitely come by for dinner soon.

I recently held a work event here for about 40 people. We were placed in their boardroom where we had access to the patio. It was a beautiful night so we all enjoyed the additional space. Art and Britney were our servers and they both took very good care of us. They took drink orders quickly when we had to wait for food and made sure the food was to our liking when it arrived. They continued to check in on us and were just so accommodating for our large group. The food itself were sooo tasty! Our group had a lot of dietary requests; e.g. vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free. Everyone was able to eat something that was substantial and hot. We all left full and happy. One more than I should note, this restaurant was very easy to work with remotely. I work in San Francisco so I wasn’t able to see or meet anyone until I arrived in Irving. The staff was extremely helpful with making sure the space and set-up would be perfect for my group.

I was a little tempted to stay away after Sfuzzi’s closed, but I’m glad my boyfriend swayed me to give in and try it. The remodeling of the restaurant is beautiful! The wait staff were extremely polite! I will admit it was pretty empty for a Friday night, but I’d have to say thats because not enough people know what they are missing! We ordered the crab cakes for appetizer, I had the steak argula salad and my boyfriend had pasta. The portions are a bit on the skimp side :/but we also showed up 30 minutes before they were closing, so I hope this was just by chance. Nonetheless, the food was great and at a great price! We will be going back, hopefully on a night when there’s live music!

Love the bar and the HH specials. They have a lot of neat stuff on tap. I’m still getting used to the fact that it’s no longer Sfuzzi’s. I was there for about 15 minutes before I realized I wasn’t in the same restaurant as before. Not much in terms of the feel has changed to be honest. Anyway, if you check in on Unilocal you will get half off of your appetizer so hurry up to get that deal. I have not tried the food yet. To be continued.

What was«Sformerly Sfuzzi» now Table & Tavern & I’d say it’s just that! Although the concept of this restaurant is still evolving, progress is steady. This is definitely a spot for the locals! Table & Tavern offers a taste of everything for the masses. Good for quick corporate lunches, dinner-date night, special occasions in numbers, happy hours & live the music on Monday & Friday nights keeps the energy upbeat in a classy atmosphere! The menu options have diversified some from when it was Sfuzzi’s. The added difference is their Tavern menu which is offered all day and only what is served after 10 pm: Essentially, it offers modest portions of appetizer style entrees that are both tasty & affordable eats. The Deviled Eggs & Pork Wings are a couple of my faves & I have yet to like anything more than Leilani’s Lamb Lollipops which was a special I believe so bring them back please?!? The lamb chops were laid over a bed of sweet potato purée, drizzled with chimichurri sauce & topped with fresh watercress & radish! All make great compliments to their newly added local brews on tap or your favorite happy hour beverage. Did I mention they now have Peticolas Brews on tap?!? :) Dinner entrees I am still exploring but you can’t go wrong with the mussels, bruschetta for starters, or any of their wood fire pies, they are still a classic! If you like seafood ensembles… Try the Texas Redfish, the peas pairing to this dish is deelish! It is no secret that this geographic location has been a challenge for every restaurant that has opened their doors here. Table & Tavern opened theirs to you back in June & from what I can tell in spite of their challenges, the new T&T has a friendly committed staff that I have come to know and be pleased with & a management team who are dedicated to the success of this venture and more importantly the satisfaction of their guests! They are receptive to your feedback so you should definitely drop in and check out the new digs. Buon appetito!

The food here is 3 or 4 stars but the service is so consistently horrendous that it brings the whole thing down to 2 stars. You basically have to do jumping jacks to get a bartender to notice you while sitting at the bar. And just look around, everyone’s drink is empty. No sense of urgency for service. ***UPDATE: Aug 2014*** They seemed to have turned things around. They had a new attitude and the service and food were both very good the last couple of times I visited.

I am a bit of a foodie but to say the food here was good would be stretching the truth. Some friends from work and I decided to check them out for lunch. We started off with a few apps. The Brie, the crab dip, and the bacon egg and cheese pizza. Now believe it or not the pizza was the best thing we could have ordered. You break the yolks and smear them all over to share it on every slice. And it was six kinds of wonderful all of us were licking our fingers with delight. Now as for entrees, the menu tried to put a modern spin on just about everything and couldn’t deliver on any of them. I had there version of a modern burger and as good as it looked it failed to tantalize the taste buds. The worse thing is out of all the entrees no one finished their meal and sighed with disappointment. I would not recommend visiting this place as it tries to be upscale and fails to deliver on it.

Decent parking. An attentive and prompt hostess. The wait staff was great with keeping up on drink refills and staying in touch with the table without being overbearing. The food was good, although didn’t stand out as much as anticipated. Overall, a positive experience. I look forward to giving this place another shot.
