Fass Selections

Fass Selections is Lyle Fass’ wine import and direct sales business. Fass has nice wines. The ones I’ve tried have been German but he also imports wines from France. I’m especially eager to try his German sylvaners.
His emphasis is on natural wines, although I can’t say 100 percent of his wines could be called natural. In part this is because the definition of natural wine is ever changing.
Because he’s small I wonder if he’ll be able to bring in wine from the same producers every year. I also wonder if he’s subject to predation from larger wine distributors. But he’s definitely bringing in some gems.
The address listed with California liquor regulators is in Irvine, Calif. However, he lives in the New York City area and the phone number he lists on his Rockss and Fruit blog has a New York area code.
