Hotel continental breakfast is normally pretty gross. Not here. Excellent variety, old fashioned oatmeal with excellent choices of toppings including dried blueberries and craison, and almonds. The eggs were delish, the fresh fruit was actually fresh fruit, not canned «fresh» fruit. Service was excellent. Beds were clean and VERY comfortable. Rooms were were modern and good size. Even the bathroom.

location is good close to the university of Iowa. check inn flawless, room was clean with no issues. free breakfast could use a little work. hotel was a little noisy but in a college town that can be expected. all in all a solid place to stay.

This is a nice hotel and seems to be somewhat new or newly remodeled. The rooms are spacious and updated. The location is good as it’s close to downtown and the university. They also have a good exercise facility.

We stayed at this Hampton Inn least night and it was wonderful! The cleanest and most comfortable hotel room have ever slept in!
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The breakfast was great as well. My husband and I have been traveling for 8 weeks, and this was the absolute best place we have stayed.

Disgusting oily water in the shower left me itchy and oily. Never again! I stay at hotels all over and this property was great except the disgusting shower. The front desk told me they’d never had a complaint yet all the other guests I asked had the same experience. Gross

In Iowa City visiting family. I told my brother to recommend this Hampton Inn to anyone coming to visit him. Super clean, lots of places in bathroom to put your stuff, modern look. The staff was extremely friendly. Price was exceptional for what you got.

Wow this place is really pretty nice! It’s a brand spanking new Hampton Inn and it definitely shows.
The front desk staff was extremely nice and said they had been opened for about 4 months. He said they had worked most of the bugs out by now
Breakfast was standard Hampton Inn fare. And at night they had those damn cookies by the elevator… gets me every time.
My only complaint was that it was a few days after daylight savings time and all the clocks in my room needed to be changed. Not that it’s a huge deal, but if someone weren’t checking their cell phone for the time, they could have been all screwed up. Especially since it was across time zones for me
