Whoa this place is scary. First of all nobody should go to a place that stole it’s whole ambiance from the previous business. I thought this was Ono Hawaiian BBQ but it was not even close. The katsu chicken I ordered was full of grease like it had been refried. And to top it off there was no health grade anywhere in sight. Not on the window, not behind the counter, nowhere. Save your money and go somewhere else.

When i first started coming here about 9yrs ago the food was great. Today it is anything but, the bbq mix was flavorless and burnt. The only thing i found good was the macaroni salad. I thought i would be having a decent lunch but came out hating the place and thinking of never coming back.

Great place for Hawaiian! I don’t understand the mediocre rating. Try their special new menu on the counter. Volcano chicken is my favorite! Pour that teriyaki sauce on everything and some hot sauce! BAM lunch is served!

The food is good. I like coming here for the spam masubi. I’m not a big fan of the mac salad. I’ve actually had better. Prices are reasonable. Service is not all that great.

I am giving this place 2 stars because I actually enjoy their seafood combo plate but tonight they FUCKED up my order and gave me beef. I am not allowed to eat red meat for health reasons but they did not check to see if the order was correct. Maybe they should double check the meals before this tragedy happens again.

Bra, I was here one time long time ago when I went drop off somebody at LAX. This stay on da street when you stay driving away from da airport. I never like eat at da airport cause stay too crowded and no more enough money so instead I went drive down da street and spock this place right away. Anytime dis blala spock«Hawaiian» on da restaurant sign I going stop and give ‘em one chance, bra. So I went find ‘em again dis time — still here and stay open. Inside stay look like your average Hawaiian kine grinds on da mainland place. Da menu look like stay da same as da kine from Ono Hawaiian BBQ — same colors and everything, bra. Look like they went plagiarize ‘em or they went edit da menu and change da name. «Got one extra „Q“ bra — what we going do with da Q? And what we going name dis place? Q? Ok bra, stay da new name now. No need even change da menu items, bra, cause still going be da same ting.» So anyway I went order da kalbi plate and one fountain drink. Kalbi stay ok — pretty average. Just like Ono’s — stay good enough, bra. Macaroni salad — taste boring but. L&L stay make ‘em better. Dis stay mainland kine macaroni salad. Good enough — went fill up da opu and dis blala stay happy for now. Only ting dis place play too much of da kine music from da seventies bra. Mo better they play Hawaiian kine music. Bruddah IZ or C&K. Tree and a half but I goin’ round up to four.

Like another review mentioned, I thought this was still ONO or Q & Q or whatever. Do not believe any review that said this was above 1 star. I’ts not. A bad deal from the start. I paid with a 20 but got back 6 in change rather than 11.00 No worries, but. I ordered the bbq chicken, a dish I get often at Waikiki Hawaiian just a mile away. The food was thrown into the container, small portions, Fatty & tasted like it was soaking in salt water. DISGUSTING. Not even a website to complain to management. Avoid this nasty Q !

Came in thinking this was Ono Hawaiian BBQ and boy was I wrong. I had the bbq combo plate and my mom had the ribs and everything was bland and the ribs were fatty and overlooked. Next time I will pay attention to where I’m going.

I’ve wanted to give this place a try for a while now. My boyfriend gave the ok and we had lunch there. We had the chicken katsu and the kalbi short ribs plate. They were served with white rice and macaroni salad. We were VERY disappointed. The macaroni salad was the only thing that was edible, if that. The chicken katsu(if you want to call it chicken) was bland. It didn’t even look like chicken on the inside. McDonalds chicken nuggets not only tasted better, but looked better. The kalbi short ribs were chewy, grisly(sp?) and were magenta pink in color(fully cooked). Made you wonder what you were eating. It was horrible. Makes my stomach churn every time I think about it. NEVER going there again. You couldn’t pay me enough.

While I can tell that this used to be either an L&L or Ono Hawaiian BBQ, it seems they have improved the food! I ordered my regular at Hawaiian BBQ spots(Chicken Katsu/BBQ Chicken Combo plate w/the rice & macaroni salad) and it was BOMB! Now that I work in the Wood, this will be a weekly option for me. If you look at the picture Im posting, I almost ate my food up before I could even stop to take the picture lol. The chicken Katsu breading had better flavor then L&L and Ono. Everything was on point, can’t even lie… The all so rare 5 stars from me!

I figured a place with only 16 reviews that averaged 4 stars could potentially be a 1 star place. I was right. We ordered the Kalua Pork and the Loco Moco. The Kaua Pork came on a bed of lettuce and looked boiled and bland. The flavor was a decent but it was hard to get over the way it looked and it had a more mushy texture. The Loco Moco wasn’t much better. It came with a reheated hamburger patty on a bed of lettuce smothered in chicken gravy that tasted like it came from a can and 2 over cooked eggs on top. The rice was on the side! Proper Loco Moco would have beef gravy smothered on two freshly cooked hamburger patties on top of rice with over easy eggs on top. Maybe the owners figure there aren’t enough Hawaiians on the area to know better.

The mimi is definitely a good deal! I was rushing to get filling lunch somewhere fast because I left for lunch late compared to other people and stopped by here. The worker who took the order was very friendly and I later overheard a conversation saying he has just started working few days ago. He did not lose the smile on his face and was very friendly when taking order and when other customers started conversations with him. Some thought he was the owner. Food came out in about 5 minutes and there are hot terriyaki sauce on the side along with katsu sauce(which I got too much of). They will ask you if you want hot sauce as you pick up your order, but if not, ask them and they will give it to you. Overall good deal good experience!

Came here for lunch the other day and asked them to give me their most popular plate. It was a combo of white rice, beef, chicken and kalbi short ribs. I felt the best of the chicken was the best of the three, as Yuri C mentioned I too felt the ribs were rubbery and the beef while it had flavor lacked quantity. Would def come again and get a chicken plate. Also it was very fast! I expected a longer wait but soon after paying my order was ready!
