When I need my swine pork «fix» every now and again this satisfied my need. Small end rib dinner was ok the meat had a little more fat on it than I would have liked but the sauce was tasty. I don’t eat this often so it sufficed.

Loved it. Not only was the food great and adorable but we witnessed the kindness of the women who work there. Before i even asked, she handed me water for my dog. Then while we were eating she was even kinder to a few homeless people who came in. It was inspiring. It’s no surprise to me that this place has been in business as long as they have given the food and hospitality.

Waited in line for about 10 minutes and was ignored as soon as I walked away the lady started helping the next customer in line which happened to be of color, I feel discriminated this place used to be a lot better when the youngster was running the window. I am so disappointed in the service now Im going to go to the other location, see how that goes!!!

6÷4÷16… Just left the Market St. Location and the lady working the window and taking phone orders, is beyond RUDE! She was not helpful with trying to help me place my order and told me I had less than 3 minutes to place my order and if I couldn’t make my mind up, I would just have to walk in. Then once I placed my order, she hung up in my face. Went to pick up my order 10 minutes later, there was no customers at all. I asked her why was she so rude & in a rush? Couldn’t give me an explanation. Was being over charged, because she took down my order wrong, she didn’t give me the opportunity to finish placing my order via phone. Then, checked my food before I left, order still was wrong in the bag. Another customer behind me, was complaining about the same problem. The phone rung @ 9:11pm, she rudely answered, toldtge customer, «we closing at 10, and no phone orders» and hung up… ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! People wonder why black businesses go out of business! Dealing with rude employees like her, make u wanna take your business elsewhere! Get rid of the rude, tall, heavy set, back lady wearing the black silk bonnet, before you lose ALL of your customers!

Yummy slab of beef ribs, nice and meaty and tender. Well worth it… Got some on Wednesday and went back on Friday. Yum.

NO LINES TODAY! Friendly/​funny staff. The cashier was rocking her black bonnet and was hilarious. The service was quick and efficient. WOODYS ROCKS!

Woody’s is our go to barbecue spot when we are in LA I travel out of the way to stop and get a chicken link dinner. The mixed sauce is a little spicy for me, so I typically go with the mild. I’ve tried the chicken, beef link, and both the pork and beef ribs. Although I’m partial to the chicken links, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The sides are tasty as well!

Woody’s BBQ is still awful. Too much damn vinegar salty overall just plain olé NASTY… We will never ever go back and the service sucks too.

Went here the day after super bowl to try since it was down the street from us. Had really high hopes but was disappointed. I think we got the businessmen lunch. BBQ sauce wasn’t that good & the meat was really tough. You can tell its been sitting out for a while. & it’s pretty pricy for the amount that was given. I gave them an extra star for the good service.

I’m in love with there bbq. Chicken link is so juicy. The greens are so flavorful. Rib tips could be a bit more tender but it will do. And I just love how it’s all drenched in sauce. The amount of food for the price, you can’t beat.

Having a pleasant evening with my sisters here at Woodys BBQ. I’ve never eaten here before, but the word on the streets is that it’s a great place to dine for delicious BBQ. First let me start by saying the wait was rediculous! The person that took our order was very unpleasant, didn’t seen to be a people person, for that I will not return… still waiting for my oder 40 minutes and counting

This place is awesome! I will admit this is my first time having ribs, but whoa they blew my mind. I’ve been to Famous Daves and Lucilles BBQ before, but it’s nothing compared to this place. All I have had is the Ribs, but oh boy! They’re are so good! Price is great and customer service is awesome! I’ve been luck to go when it’s not busy since I’ve heard lines get long. I will deff come back to this place !

I’m going to begin with a qualifying statement! I’m a 48 year old Hispanic man, who’s enjoyed traditional southern style barbecue at the various churches in and around south los Angeles. I’ve been fortunate to have been able to chow down on baby back ribs, chicken, and hot links!
My wife and I went to try woodys BBQ a couple of days ago.
There’s three adults in my house, and whenever we get takeout, we generally buy enough to either freeze or enjoy for a few days after.
So we bought the $ 109.00 family dinner, that consisted of chicken, baby back ribs, beef ribs, beef brisket, and hot links! All wonderfully smothered in a great home made sauce that unfortunately had lumps of cayenne pepper! Although the taste was great, it seemed like it was exactly a homemade sauce and not that of such a renowned restaurant!
My first mouthful came from the beef ribs. All I can honestly say is that I should’ve stopped there!
They were rubbery, tough, and by no means the kind of meat that would generally melt in my mouth!
Consequently I didn’t finish them. Instead, I moved on to the brisket. It was so-​so! Tender, but dry and chewy! Then came the links! All I really tasted was the sauce covering a somewhat spicy yet rubbery texture that seemed over cooked.
We probably won’t be going back! And will most likely advise friends and family to avoid the establishment.
I’m assuming that that all was great in the beginning, but as is sometimes the case, maybe its just become too big to pay attention to the little things like texture, clump — free sauce, and actual HOT, hot links.
I’ve given them an A for effort, but sadly only a C, for quality! Sorry!

Friend and I were looking for a close BBQ place to eat at for lunch and found Woodys really close. At 3.5 stars I figured it would be a decent choice. Unfortunately, it wasn’t.
The food was mediocre but the real disappointment was the price you pay. For roughly $ 10 I got a small cup of macaroni and an extremely small sliced beef sandwich smothered in flavorless BBQ sauce.
Maybe if I was drunk and had $ 15 in my pocket id eat here again but for now, no. If you’re looking for quality BBQ at a good price, look somewhere else.

I am very disappointed to say I will NEVER go to this rib joint again!!! I let a friend talk me into going there instead of Bledsoe. The sauce tasted old and… I ordered the 3 meat combo. I was told I could have 2 types of meat and would get extra. I chose the ribs. Typically 2 bones come with the meal so double should be…4. No it’s 3. The math here is «new math» I suppose. I called the restaurant explained what happened and was told to return to the restaurant. When I returned I was told, «no you only get 3, I explained that to you». No she did not. My co-​worker and I were very disappointed. If for no other reason than good customer service she should have given me ONE RIB!
The rudeness was offensive. The lack of good customer service was disappointing. I spent my time and money to drive to this awful restaurant (term loosely used).
I was told to return to the restaurant it would be made right. Who knows Mr. Woodys telephone number? I need my gas money back.

I’m generally a pork guy for BBQ… Ribs, pulled and everything in between, but Woody’s got me on a beef kick!
Brisket was fork tender, great smoke flavor topped with the spicy sauce! Beef ribs were tender fall off the bone.
Staff was friendly and apologetic they were out of greens! I’ll have to roll by again to take another dip in that brisket bath!

So good! This BBQ SPOT HITS THE SPOT. Always worth the drive. Lady’s Lunch w/​Mac salad. Wish they had one by my home. A hometown favorite of mine. I can see why people would grade less based on customer service but the food does its justice making it a 5 star for me. Food is so good I can care less if cashier is nice or not, lol. And I usually to critique service.

Overall, it was a good, definitely not great, experience. First, the customer service could have been better. For example, I simply asked the cashier if they sold chicken by the piece. It’s a simple Yes or No question. Instead, I got a rude soliloquy where she explained that «this isn’t a chicken place» and how I would have to order chicken at a higher quantity. She then got an attitude because I asked a question about the combo meal. Either write a clearer menu or just politely answer my question — that would only take 30 seconds out of her life.
On to the food, the actual ribs and chicken were good. The meat was flavorful and the hot BBQ sauce had a nice kick. Unfortunately, they did NOT get my order correct. I asked for white meat only for the chicken. What do I see when I get home? A leg and thigh, with the breast. (All that attitude and she can’t get my order right) The side dishes here appear to be an afterthought. The greens lacked flavor — as if they just boiled them in water. The coleslaw and baked beans look and taste like they were purchased from Smart and Final. If you choose to go here, I’d suggest just getting meat here and buying sides somewhere else or making your own.
In short, good meat, but the sides and customer service are below average.

I haven’t been happy with the BBQ here for some time now. I got a sliced beef sandwich and the meat was flavorless. It didn’t have any smoke flavor and actually tasted like boiled meat with sauce. Since I’ve liked their BBQ before I decided to give it one more shot. The second time I took my mom and we got another sliced beef and a hot link sandwich. I didn’t tell her how I didn’t like it now because I didn’t want to color her opinion. When she tasted her sandwich she immediately said how terrible it was. The meat just doesn’t have any flavor anymore. I don’t know what happened. I got banana pudding as well and it was terrible terrible terrible! It tasted like instant jello pudding with mushy bananas and cookies. As expensive as this was I wasn’t only disappointed, I was mad. The only thing that was good was the macaroni salad and that’s because it’s store bought with a little paprika.
I really hate to write this review. I remember this place being great. I don’t know what happened but I won’t be returning.
