I am only giving this location 2 stars because the food is good but their customer service is TERRIBLE! Today, I received the worst customer service from the driver thru cashier. I asked her for salsa and napkins and she told me they didn’t have any, I told her that I get them every time I come and her response was«if you want them you’re going to have to park in the front and come in and get them yourself». I would never come to this location again.

I can’t complain. People were very nice to us and food was awesome! Place is clean and the register is very polite. I saw other reviews complaining before we got there and I was surprise, because they were super nice and fast :) I will definitely go back.

This had to be one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. I came here with a friend who rented and raved about how good their chicken was. Not their side orders but their chicken. Since I really love the chicken and it’s hard to fine awesome chicken in the fast food world I was definitely looking forward to trying it. When we walked in I am mediately noticed that it was clean for the most part. It was a good piece of retail space with tons of interior seating and it looks very sanitary — off to a great start everything took a turn for the worse at that point. There were two people ahead of us and after they ordered it was our turn to order. We both ordered two piece males and when they asked about our side orders my friend immediately recognized that the same mill used to be cheaper and came with two sides. He was surprised to find that the meal was now more expensive and only came with one side water — that’s not enough to rate them lower because I still haven’t tasted the food and every business can raise or lower their prices based on inflation. We ordered our meal and took our drink cups and went and found some seating areas. We went over to the water fountain dispenser and noticed that the sprite we wanted was more water than carbonated soda. We decided to try every soda and found this with the case across the board for all of their soft drinks. We immediately told the woman at the cashier if they could have someone come correct that. Five minutes later no one had come to even look at the issue. At that point we noticed that one person who ordered after us had gotten his food and the two people in front of us had gotten their food, so we told the woman at the cashier that we did not get our food yet we were beginning to see people behind us get their food and everyone watered before us got theirs also. Five minutes later another person behind us got their food and we still had not received our food. Also no one had come to check on the soda machine. At that point we decided to speak with a manager because it was a bit ridiculous to be at a fast food restaurant for 10 minutes and everyone before and after you received their food and you ordered a simple meal that had no customization. We told the manager that everyone before and after with receive their food and we had still been waiting and he asked for our order number(we were order(#23). The manager went to check on our order and came back shortly and told us he had an employee start making our order right then so it would be up shortly. While to sound that might sound great but to us we realize that meant no one have been working on our order before so had we not said anything we could’ve been waiting 20 minutes for a two piece combo meal which is the most basic meal. At that point it didn’t matter how good the chicken was I knew that I would likely never come back. When our food came out we didn’t care much at that point. We sat and ate and yes the chicken was delicious however the service was a complete turnoff and a poor experience. Note– this restaurant is owned, Randy, and heavily used in the Latino community so speaking Spanish is a plus. I am not saying they have racist tendencies but my friend and I were the only non-Latino & non– Spanish speaking customers to come in within that timeframe). Did that play a role — who knows but we sure saw that same thing and wondered if that played a factor in us receiving such horrible service. Took the liberty of filling out that«give us feedback» request on my receipt, and explained the same story. Within about 30 minutes a manager name Manuel called me back and apologized for the service. He didn’t try any way to make me a repeat customer or try to win my service back though. He does not seem trained and customer service and how to win customer loyalty. He was nice but without trying to win me back you essentially still lost a customer. All in all the chicken was delicious as my friend stated however the service is so horrible that I will gladly go anywhere else to get chicken. I have never had such a poor experience at El Pollo Loco and I’ve been going there for years. That is likely why oh boy loco is such a larger and more successful fast food chain.

The soda machine does not work!!! And the staff does not acknowledge the customers that are waiting in line. It seems like the staff and the shift manager does not have any customer service etiquette

Ehh. This type of food is what we find at the neighborhood gas stations back in Ohio. The same flavor and greasy saturated planks of small chicken. Nothing to write home about. Oh wait, I am writing. Lol. I would rather go to Church’s or KFC. This is what we call the drunk man’s food back in Ohio.

Ugh the chicken was freshly made and it was so crispy and hot!!! The flavor is amazing and incomparable! Please bring a location to AZ!!! The service was okay and the place was clean! The music was poppin!

Move over El Pollo Loco! Yo quiero Pollo Campera! I wasn’t sure which type of chicken to get so I got both, fries and grilled. Both were very tasty! Chicken was crispy and juicy. The grilled was juicy w tons of seasoning and a citrus flavor. The Campera rice and beans were flavored with cilantro and corn. One thing they need to add to their menu is veggies. No, not cabbage! Green veggies! El Pollo has them beat on that end and I might prefer the salsa at El Pollo but Campero is not that far behind. Guess I’ll be putting this in my dinner rotation for those nights that I don’t feel like cooking.

This is our new favorite for chicken. The chicken is always really well flavored. The empinadas are wonderful(I recommend the guava), and their black beans are some of the best I have had. Service on my first visit was a little slow, but has been nice and fast since then. They keep the restaurant nice and clean. The tables are never sticky, and the restrooms are cleaner that many other places I have been to.

Chicky, Chicky, wow, wow. 4 piece leg & thighs, 2 sides, tortillas, salsas, drink, $ 10 + tax. Campero offers two styles of chicken — fried & citrus Peruvian. I ordered 2 of each to find out which I would like better. Hmmm. Still don’t know. Both were excellent. The best comparison of the citrus Peruvian would be Pollo Loco. I believe the chicken was baked here, based upon observation & recipe research, whereas the Pollo Loco is grilled. Both have a hint of citrus, but Campero’s tickles the tongue much better. I prefer the sides of Loco. The salsas were better at Campero, with the exception of the green avocado salsa at Loco. I’m betting the family would have me buy the Campero chicken and go down the street for the Pollo sides. The best comparison of the fried chicken would be KFC. For me, hands down Campero’s was more flavorful and less greasy. Again, I would go to KFC for the sides. Bottom lines, if they improved their sides, then they would have better ratings and a line out the door. But, then again, that is just my opinion.

The employees here as so rude. I’m trying to give them my order and mid conversation they ignore me and start talking to their other co workers. That’s just not right. Felt really disrespected.

Wow customer service is horrible… they take forever to serve me 1 meal!!! The guy who is the cashier victor looks like he’s out of it and has no customer service experience. The food is ok but its not worth it for the wait and the terrible service. They need to step up their game here…

I love love love love love Pollo Campero I can’t say enough good things about it. Hands down the best fried chicken I’ve ever tasted. The skin is basically perfection!!! A must try, and for the cheap price, just wow. YES. Also there is a drive through at this location. But I usually park my car and eat there because there’s barely people there anyway. Oh my god I love pollo campero. That is all.

I’ve been a fan of Pollo Campero since before it came to Inglewood. So when this location opened its doors, I was estatic. Unfortunately, the menu has changed and deviated from the classiscs it was known for, such as the campero rice. They now added grilled chicken to the menu and the campero rice recipe isn’t even close to what it use to be. To make things worse, the customer service is poor. Host Maria almost charged me double for a 10pcs combo. When she made the correction, she got my order wrong, tortillas instead of bread, Cole slaw instead of mashed potatoes. When my order was called to pick up, it was bagged to go when my receipt clearly said DINEIN. When I asked for plates, the server made me feel like I had done something wrong. The fried chicken is still great, but to avoid the horrible customer service, I will be using the drive-thru.

I have been here a few times and I know this franchise very well, they are from Guatemala in Latin America. I have been to the original one which started over 50 years ago. This particular location I have been to a few times, I must say that I have always gotten very good service from the staff here plus the night time manger(Willie) is the friendliest staff person there. However, this last time I went I was so disappointed that there was none of my favorite menu options, I had to settle for 3rd and 4th choice options which I really did not care for. I have always come in late in the evening and I have never had this issue. The food, however, is always good. The spices on the fried chicken is an old family recipe which I really like. They always make fresh batches of fried chicken every few hours so when ordered it’s freshly fried. Plus there is a nice selection of traditional Latin American sides the rice and beans, fried plantain, and coleslaw are among my favorites. I recommend this place any of the locations will have all the same great selection.

We ordered from here a few times when we first moved to the neighborhood a couple of years ago and I would say it was tasty. I’ve recently attempted to pick up dinner from this place on two different occasions, and on each one of them I’ve been told they were out of every item I tried to order. Seriously!!!

This place is surprisingly clean(including the restrooms) and the service is super nice and friendly. The chicken here is delicious. I especially like he flavor of the grilled chicken although both fried and grilled are incredibly juicy. The sides could be better but they will do. I’d stick with the beans and rice. Super spicy salsas. Tres leches cake was covered in dulce de leche which I didn’t care for but others might. Jamaica drink was very good. Price are reasonable. I’d come here over KFC based on the service.
