I thought it was fine. I don’t think it was the best sub I have ever eaten. I will say I am partial to Penn Station more so I might be biased. With that being said, the staff was awesome in helping me figure out how it worked and the the shakes were awesome. I would go back again and try another sub. I thought it was a bit pricey but maybe I am being a cheap skate. 14″ sub and large shake was $ 17.

So much better than subway or Jimmy John’s. Service was a little slow today, but I did come during the dinner rush…

My first visit to Which Wich wasn’t great. Got my order to go when there was almost no one else in the store, so I don’t know why they couldn’t get it right. I got a modified caprese veggie sandwich. Most of the tomatoes I got were the tough end slices. Ditto with the banana peppers. It was almost like they specifically picked those out for my sandwich. The sandwich came on white bread when I clearly marked wheat. It was missing the caramelized onion which I also clearly marked. The house chips I got were almost all crumbs, probably taken from the very bottom of the batch. If I would’ve eaten there, I would’ve brought this all to their attention. Since I discovered all this when I got back to work, I’ll probably just go to another sub place next time(but why does Indy have so few local sub shops?). Bad first impression.

Which Wich is a nice alternative to Jimmy Johns and Subway, also both near IUPUI. You grab a brown bag and check options off as far as size, hot/cold, bread/no bread, and whatever you want on the sandwich(which is pretty much anything). The wait time usually isn’t too bas– similar to a Penn Station. It depends on how busy they are and who is working. I prefer Which Wich to the other two sandwich places I mentioned. The restaurant is fairly large, and easily accommodates busy lunch hours. They also have a punch card so you can earn a free sandwich.

I actually might be addicted. I know it’s a sandwich shop but it is so DANGGOOD. Control freaks rejoice, you have the power at Which Wich. Choose your sandwich and pick your bag accordingly, then start checking boxes. Hot or cold, small medium or large, white or wheat, you get the picture … add in about 50 more customized options and you have your sandwich. This is a unique spin on a sandwich place. It’s quick, delicious and the staff is friendly. Now that I live close I’m scared for how often I might come here. Next time I’m definitely getting a milkshake!

Which Wich has the best sandwiches, but this location is messing up a lot, especially with my Gyro sandwiches.

This place was delicious! I got the Philly cheesesteak with cheese wiz and provalone and it was wonderful. The only problem I had was the bun was very soggy and my sandwich feel apart from being over filled, but I can live with that for how delicious it was. The inside of the store was also really cool. It’s a nice little hip place and was decently comfortable. The only thing I would ask them to fix is the soggy bun, but I would definitely recommend this to all my friends.

I saw someone else’s review called this place«a hipper subway» and I don’t think it really does this place justice. My wife got the turkey club– it was jammed pack with fresh, delicious tasting veggies, and they weren’t skimpy on the meat. She said there was almost too much bacon(like that’s ever a possibility…) I got the authentic gyro– so good! And I promise you would never get close to this quality of a sandwich at subway. I also got the house made chips. The portion was a little smaller than the portion you normally get, but they were everything you want in a potato chip. Crispy and potatoe-y(it’s a word. Trust me) and delicious. Lots of black pepper and spices on them, so if you prefer tame or bland in your chips, probably not for you. It is a little pricey for sandwiches, but totally worth it.

So, I must confess to all my fellow Unilocalers… I am ADDICTED to Which Wich. The service is always great, don’t forget about the frequent buyer card! Bread is always fresh as well as ingredients. I loathe more than anything gross, old, lettuce and unfortunately it’s all to common in sandwich shops. But not my beloved Which Wich. Fresh, crispy spinach, romaine and iceberg… Everyday. Every time. I realize that most of you are not as picky about lettuce as I am, so I’ll move on to other things. As your own personal sandwich creator you have the untimely power here. UNLIMITED choices! Whatever you want on your wich they have… Chips, cheeses, olives, onions. Oh! Try the crispy onions, it will change your life. The bread is also fresh everyday and you can get it hot or cold. They also have amazing milkshakes to boot! My favorite place for lunch in Indianapolis!

Lunch here today. SERVICE/ATMOSPHERE: The concept here is basically a hipper subway — you pick your bag, check off the toppings you want on the side of it and hand it to the cashier. The service was excellent — the woman behind the counter patiently explained to me and other customers how the bag situation worked and the food came out in a timely manner. However, it is LOUD. Between them screaming(not exaggeration) when a sandwich is ready, the rocket booster milkshake machine and the blaring music, it’s like dining in a night club. ENTREE: Small Buffalo Chicken sandwich — this was just ok. Really, it wasn’t bad, it wasn’t memorable — it was just a serviceable sandwich. VERDICT: I probably wouldn’t come again — it wasn’t bad but at $ 9.50 for a sandwich, drink and chips, I expected more. I can spend less at Subway or Jimmy Johns for a serviceable, quick sandwich.

You may already know the sandwiches are great here so I’ll cut right to the good stuff — the milkshakes. I’m an ice cream fanatic and if given a choice, I prefer it in shake format. When I first purchased the oversized vat of Oreo shake I wasn’t expecting much. I could not have been more surprised an pleased with what was handed to me over the counter. There was something very nostalgic about the homemade taste of that shake. The consistency was thick enough to know they made it with really cold hand scooped ice cream, but not too thick to drink through a straw. The perfect blend of milk and ice cream. This has shot straight to the top of my destination list for great milkshakes.

From an area where we have about four to having to drive 20 minutes for it, worth it!!! Very individualized, add all you do want and you don’t have to worry about the person behind you rushing you to decide. Veggie options as well :)

*Disclaimer* I’ve never eaten at this location. In fact I’ve never eaten at a location in Indiana. We had Which Wich in Dallas and I’d eaten there several times and liked it well enough. My review is by proxy. One of my co-workers drove to Which Wich to order for herself and another co-worker(we’re not within walking distance). Upon returning and taking a bite of her buffalo chicken sandwich she realized it was covered in barbeque sauce(ewww). She called this location to tell them of the mistake and although they don’t deliver, they offered to bring a corrected, replacement sandwich to her. They came with the corrected sandwich very quickly. Therefore, if you enjoy sandwiches and revel in good customer service, this location of Which Wich is the place for you!

Which Wich is a fresh take on the chain sandwich shop. You pick your sandwich style, fill out a brown sack order form, and then present it to the cashier. From this point you can watch the bag slowly make its way down the assembly line until your name is called out at the pick up end of the counter. Pro tip: write or draw something unique on the back side of your bag. This way you know exactly when your order is ready. It’s occasionally loud at lunch and you might not hear your name called. Favorite sandwich is the Thank You Turkey. Turkey meat, stuffing, and cranberry preserves. I usually add BBQ sauce or pesto and lately I’ve been digging the option to add their house potato chips to the sandwich. On the whole this is a fun and more delicious alternative to Subway or Jimmy Johns. + Although I’ve never had their milkshakes(due to the 800ish calories) everyone I’ve seen drink one has loved them.

Normal Which Wich. good sandwich selection and generally speedy service even for lunch time around the hospital. Minor complaint… they removed the turkey bacon ranch from their menu. now you have to get something else and add bacon. Also, their seating outside is narrow and a bit hard to navigate sometimes.

We’ve ordered sandwiches from here a couple times for 20 – 30 people and taken them back to eat at the office. Turns out they deliver. So that’s cool. The place is packed at lunch time so go early if you want to eat your food there. Also the staff was very nice to us each time. The whole«so many choices» thing though, OK I get it. But for me personally it’s not really making things fun. It’s more confusing and hard to find something I want. By the time I make it to my lunch hour I just want to hit the easy button if that makes any sense. Whatever, people seem to love this place so you probably will too. It’s like Potbelly with too many choices.

I never review chain restaurants but I just love this place so much I want to make sure anyone who is not sure if they want to eat there do. They are going to love it. This place makes me so happy, the variety is amazing(haha Elvis sandwich anyone?) and their staff is generally always really friendly. Food: 5⁄5 Location: 4⁄5 Service: 4⁄5

We’ve been twice now. I’ve tried the vegetarian with hummus and the buffalo chicken. There are a gazillion sandwich combos. On my second trip I picked up some of the homemade chips. They are a thick cut waffle potato chip… the seasonings on the chips were pretty tasty! I’m a fan of the ordering system. You can make all of your choices before ordering so you aren’t stuck behind someone trying to figure out what they want on their sandwich(like it’s the first and last sandwich they will have for the rest of their lives). Love the reusable plastic cups(bring it back for 50 cents off your next drink), and yay for CRUSHEDICE. Definitely a staple in my lunch rotation!
