Snapdragon Salon & Spa

Snapdragon Salon and Spa is a horrible, dysfunctional, and incompetent place of business. I was completely dissatisfied with how I was treated at this salon. The owner is biased and inequitable. The manager knows absolutely nothing about cosmetology or how to run a salon. Their services and products are aimed for Caucasian hair only. There are absolutely no products for ethnic hair. There were no pictures or magazines of ethnicity in sight. There is no type of variety or feeling welcomed here. Very unprofessional and will never recommend anyone to this salon.

I don’t often go to salons for a haircut, but I felt like splurging.
This place is nice and modern; slick, sleek, clean vibe. More upscale than the typical X-​Clips, or X-​Cuts.

Went to make an appt this week. No receptionist, so they made me wait to make an appt. Set up appt for 8:00 on Friday. Showed up at 7:45 only to find they dont open until 9:00. Obviously the stylist that made my appt can not read a clock or calendar. I even have the appt card confirming the date and time. Thank you for wasting my time. I will not be back.

I’ve been a client here for over five years, mainly because of location and I like my stylist. If I’m rating my stylist (Beau) and experience on a personal level, this place gets 5 stars.
Ownership, however, is a 1 star. First, you’ll never get notice of a price increase until you go to pay. In a two visit span (about 7 – 8 weeks) last year, my fee went up 20% without notice. It was nearly an 8% increase the first visit and then another 12% on the next. I said something about the increase and the 12% rate was dropped the next visit… again without notice. On my most recent visit, I was told (again upon payment) that they had made a mistake with their payment system and my last two tips hadn’t been charged to me. They insisted that my stylist was properly tipped as they covered that… but they then told me I ‘owed’ an additional money to cover their mistake from my previous visits. Fortunately, for me, it’s a men’s haircut, so the tips aren’t huge amounts. I couldn’t imagine being asked to reimburse them $ 40 or so in tips because of their mistake almost two months later. Additionally, the stylists are now pushed to ‘recommend’ product to you on every visit. The upsell is pretty annoying to me.

I have been to this salon 2 times, and need to make my 3^rd appointment ASAP. I have been going to Jessee. I was nervous the first time going in, because who knows if you are your stylist are going to click? And they are going to understand what you want to do?
I ended up cutting off close to 5″ on my first appointment, and was so happy with both the color and the cut. Jessee does a great job on both. I went blonder, and decided on my second appointment to go ever blonder. She has done this each time successfully, keeping my hair in the warm toners as I had requested. She is also very open to making suggestion and taking suggestions, which I think is an awesome quality. I would highly recommend her talents to everyone!
The front office is always friendly and helpful. The costs (for a female used to getting cut + full highlight) run slightly under to average costs for these services in Indy.
One of the perks of this salon is the convenient location for Broad Ripple Community. Located in the Glendale center, it is a quick trip there. I used to travel all the way down town for a decent hair cut and color, and it is so nice to be able to be less than 5-​minutes away.
While this salon is not above and beyond in the décor, etc. you are still able to get a really great cut and color. I would recommend it to someone looking for a new stylist.

I’ve been a client of Beau for almost 3 years. He is the best at hair cuts & color! The service at the salon is excellent! Everyone is always friendly, calls you by your name — it’s THE place to be for pretty hair!
