An old friend I hadn’t seen in years and I stopped in for some tea and conversation. Soon afterwards, there was a big thunderstorm and the whole neighborhood lost power. We were their only customers, and they treated us like old friends. We stayed for dinner, which was expertly prepared even without electricity. We had the best time, and the staff at Petite Chou were amazing… as was the omelette and fresh fruit!

I came here looking forward to the great service, atmosphere and food. While the food is similar our meals were all wrong. The waitress was disinterested and lacked basic customer service skills. We ordered The Hippie with a Benz(no mushrooms), salmon tartine and a custom omelet with a pitcher of champagne cocktail. The champagne cocktail was and still is amazing. However, rather than getting salmon we got chicken. My omelet still had mushrooms. My sisters order was correct but her fruit was old and not fresh. We all had to ask for new meals or corrections. The manager took our plates but they blamed someone walking out of the kitchen earlier, versus just apologizing and admitting an error took place. They then brought out a salmon club sandwich(not a tartine). At this point we figure they don’t have tartines until we see another patron enjoying this dish. I ask the waitress about this and she then says she heard a club sandwich(never said and she wasn’t listening to us anyway). We had no salt or pepper and had to get up and retrieve this for ourselves. Overall, disappointment. I spoke with the managed about the experience. She literally stared at me like I had 3 eyes when I’m explaining why it’s not been a satisfactory experience. She said sorry(after I mentioned no one has even apologized). I asked for a new waitress, which was honored but we were almost finished. I told her that it feels like we’re inconveniencing them with our presence. She said, «I’m sorry you feel this way.» I hadn’t visited in years and sadly I won’t ever return during my next visit to Indy. Another one bites the dust…

Came here for lunch last week on a doggie date with my best friend. We both brought our dogs… hers is a baby and mine is a grown 100lb boy. The restaurant allowed us to eat on the patio and even provided our dogs with a water bowl. The service was great and we both loved our food. I had an omelet with cinnamon sugar toast and a salad, she had the warm quinoa salad. Very delicious. Will definitely be coming back!!! PS I apologize for the lack of photos, my hands we kind of full with the dog

Girlfriend and I came here for a quick and simple breakfast and enjoyed it a lot. Lots of healthy and natural options. We didn’t get champagne or mimosas but this is certainly an amazing brunch spot with outdoor seating. We got omelettes with a cup of fruit. They have a coffee bar where you fill your own cup. Food was great. Simple concept, well-executed…no complaints here.

This is one of my favorite places to get brunch(better than Patachou in my opinion!). My favorite is the chicken crêpe which I would highly recommend. The bloody mary’s are also really good!

O-M-G. I had one of the top 5 meals of my life at this restaurant. My parents took me here for my 21st birthday and I got the Chicken Paillard with lemon sauce. I wanted to lick my plate clean(not appropriate) but had to suffice with as much as my utensils would pick up. My mouth is watering thinking about it. I LOVE the atmosphere here. Sophisticated and causally chic. Initially I felt slightly uncomfortable by how close the tables were. I felt I was talking too loud, but maybe that was just in my head as no one seemed to be bothered. Our waitress was cheery and prompt but not intrusive and I never felt rushed. It was the best birthday dinner I could have ever asked for!

We were here for dinner, and oh my goodness. My sister and I ordered half the menu, and by the end we both felt like we needed to be rolled out, but boy was it worth it. My recommendation is to forgo the entrees-which are very heavy and meat centric, and just order a selection of the appetizers. Ambiance and Service: The restaurant is really lovely, and while the tables are quite close together, it isn’t too noisy and it is mostly inconvenient for the waitstaff. Our serve was excellent, with every course perfectly timed so we could enjoy each item and not spend time awkwardly waiting. Appetizers: we ordered the Alsatian Hand Pies, Mushroom Duxelles, and Pig & Fig paté. All three of these were excellent. The hand pies were pure comfort food, and exceptionally creamy. The mushroom spread was delicious and wonderfully melty. The paté with mustard was the real standout, although we couldn’t really taste the fig. These are the only ones we ordered, but we saw many at other tables, and everything looks amazing. Soups: My sister had the tomato artichoke which was unbelievable(don’t leave this restaurant without trying it!), and I had the onion gratinee. It tasted like a fairly ordinary french onion soup, but the cheese was excellent and so were the pieces of bread, so it was something special. Entrees: I had the cassoulet and my sister had the steak frites. The duck in the cassoulet was delicious, but the white beans were more than a bit monotonous. The steak frites is ostensibly a popular item, but while the fries were good, my sister and I both thought that the sauce missed the mark, a bit. Dessert: For dessert, my sister had the Profiteroles and I had the Harrison’s crêpe. The Profiteroles were great, but OMG Harrison’s crêpe. I wanted to bathe in the crème anglaise. I really regret not following another reviewer’s advice and asking for extra. Regrettably, by this point I was horrifyingly full and unable to finish my crêpe, but I definitely plan on coming back. Overall, it was a great dinner and one of the best we have had in Indianapolis. We liked everything, and felt that everything was reasonably priced given the quality. My sister felt that the appetizers were a bit pricey, but I think they were worth it given the taste quality. I definitely plan on coming back!

This place is so amazing. I went with my boss for a lunch date and even being in the dead of winter we sat on the patio and it felt like we were outside with sunshine but we were not cold. Had the Cobb salad, which was absolutely amazing. I will forever love this place, the staff and everyone were awesome. I wish I could eat here everyday.

Never been a huge quinoa fan, but the warm quinoa salad is fantastic, especially on a cold day. Tried the champagne lavender cocktail, which was also excellent. Service was attentive, quick and friendly, and the coffee is 1) Stumptown and 2) self-serve. Can’t recommend this place enough

Every time Iask my wife if she wants to make the trip to Indy for a Pacers game from Cincinnati, she asks if we can go to Petite Chou. It is possibly the best breakfast/brunch we know of. We cannot recommend it enough to our friends that mention they are going to Indianapolis. My only complaint is that there isn’t a Cincinnati location.

Very good food. Good service. Fast seating for one lol. The omelettes are very delicious. You have to try the champagne cocktails… The bacon is ok. Over all a great little broad ripple gem. For me the pricing is excellent and the food is worth every nickel, you will leave satisfied without being weighed down by the lard and greasy taste of a typical diner.

Excellent food excellent service especially if Susan is your server martha has really done it right here I have their food somewhat regularly and I’m always overwhelmingly pleasantly surprised. Today stopped in for lunch and I just asked Susan, my favorite server, to «just bring me something I would like» she brought me the Croque Monsier my first bite transported me to some region of heaven… I’m not quite sure which level. but it was definitely one of the good levels of heaven you know the upscale Carmel/Meridian Kessler like suburbs of heaven. Take my advice and order this soon order many of them. And if you’re lucky Susan will be working make sure you ask for her she’s the best

HOLYMIMOSAS. I accidentally got drunk here when my grandpa took me out for Sunday brunch after church because there were so many different whimsical sounding mimosas to choose from. SPOILERALERT they’re all fan-freaking-tastic. As far as food goes, I had the croque petit chou and it was massive as well as delectable. A little difficult and messy to eat, but I like a challenge. The wait for a table was pretty long but that’ll be expected at any brunch spot on a Sunday. It also allowed for some great people watching and eavesdropping. I overheard a couple breaking up and watched a woman devour 5 avocado toasts while telling her friend how great her diet was going– AMAZING! Place is small but charming and has some rather quaint outdoor seating as well. Our waitress was on the rude side but hey, maybe she was having a bad day. Also, get the crepes, you won’t regret it.

This was my first visit and I will definitely be back. My chicken salad tartine was to die for! I also had a delicious lavender champagne cocktail and split a Nutella crêpe with my friend. The atmosphere is sweet and cozy, so it’s perfect for a little date or just meeting up with friends.

Am I supposed to be impressed? Yes. Was I? Not at all. The service was subpar. My coffee was served at barely room temperature. When I politely asked the waitress if I could have my coffee hot, she took my coffee away and brought the cup back refilled with the same lukewarm coffee. Really? That, and her rude demeanor tainted the rest of the meal. I don’t even remember what we had but I know I didn’t like it.

I’m rarely disappointed here. This is one of the few spots in Indy that I bring friends and family from out of town. The French toast and omelettes are my go-to’s. The unlimited coffee refills and take some to go is just an added bonus. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Can’t say enough great things.

Located in Broadripple this seemed like a cute find. The menu was INCREDIBLE. Like it was one of those moments where if it was socially acceptable to order one of everything and you could still pay the bills and walk out without puking you would. Crepes, toasts, burgers, brunchy delights! Waitress suggested a fried chicken and biscuit dish and I wanted something lighter so I went for the root veggie hash thinking it would be lighter. Boy was I wrong! The root veggies were very greasy and cheesy. Delicious but not light at all. Served with perfectly crisp toast and two wonderful eggs with runny yolks. My friend got the burger and had only positive things to say. If we had ordered drinks i believe they would have been spot on. With it being a French place there were lots of champagne cocktails to pick from. Service was average. I’d come back!

Charming ambiance and consistently delicious food! Their patio is gorgeous and heated. I love their omelets and the cinnamon toast is my favorite. The service is always good as well. I’m only giving four stars because of the fruit cups. Allllll of the Patachou establishments suffer from not so fresh fruit. Always wilted and visibly old.(And filled with gross oranges. Blah.) I just overlook it mostly but I think about it whenever I contemplate brunch here –or any of the other locations.) Overall, a pleasant spot for breakfast and a cocktail.

A friend and I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was great. We were able to get seated right away in the beautiful, quaint outdoor space. Despite being somewhat busy, we had great service and our food was out in no time. This is a great restaurant for a quiet, delicious brunch… and I hear their breakfast is great too. You must try the Croque Petite Chou!!!

We visited Petite Chou on a quiet Thursday afternoon. Service from Kayla was superb and her suggestions were spot on! I had the Tuna Nicoise that was wonderfully prepared. The combination of albacore tuna, green beans, potatoes, olive relish, micro salad topped by a sunny side quail egg was presented beautifully. My daughter enjoyed the corn cake, goat cheese, fresh yellow tomatoes, haricot verts topped with a peppercorn sauce. After dinner, we both shared a Nutella crêpe with fresh bananas. This was a 5-Star joint if there had been some offering of fresh bread with the meal. Add a fresh baguette, even as an optional charge. Look forward to return for breakfast or brunch.

This place is cute, but small. Very small. Has a front and side patio and a very small bar that maybe seats 7 – 10? Very intimate seating inside. Luckily we got a table at the front, by the door and greater, which we didn’t want because of all the traffic but worked out since that part of the restaurant seemed to have more space. Booze. Their Bloody Mary is very good. $ 9.00). Rich tomato base, spicy and boozy. They are known for their champagne cocktails but also have local craft beer on draft. Ask the server what’s on tap for the menu doesn’t always reflect changes. When we were there 3 Floyds Yum Yum was on draft, but where wasn’t it that weekend… Regular coffee is self serve. Think Panera’s setup. It’s a little cumbersome since it’s right by the door but seems to works. Food. For a starter we got a small Duck Fat Pommes Frites($ 4.95 fries fried in duck fat.) This is a French restaurant so you might have to Google a few things to see what they are. hey were surprisingly just okay. I had potato chips fried in duck fat in Wooster, Ohio and they. were. amazing. These just tasted like french fries-good but meh. A small is a perfect size for two to share. The Smothered Fried Chicken($ 14.95 toasted english muffin served open-faced with mushroom duxelle and a PERFECTLYCOOKED [thank you!] sunny side up egg) was a lot of food. You’re getting close to two chicken breasts here which is a lot of food after an app and a few drinks. If you like mushrooms you’ll love this rich, well done duxelle. The seasonal Caprese salad($ 9.95) was perfectly stacked fresh mozzerella, tomatoes and basil, drizzled with olive oil and basalmic. Very nice and fresh. Small, but I was still able to share it. The Benedict Crepé($ 13.50 ham, gruyère cheese, sunny side up egg and bernaise sauce) was VERY good. Fluffy and rich and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. This place is a must try but definitely call in reservations or use OpenTable. If you don’t they’ll take your number and text you when your table’s ready, so you can browse some of the neighboring shops.

Only stopped by here for a cocktail after having dinner elsewhere. But the French Martini is my new friend. I will be back to visit it probably on a regular basis. It has a delightful light taste and packs a punch all at the same time. Yumm is all I can say to this…

Best breakfast in Indy. Great atmosphere, great service. Surprised by some of the negative reviews as I have never had a bad experience here. The old menu I had 2 or 3 standards, the new menu had me making tough decisions. Unlike some other breakfast places in town, they are very accommodating in customizing dishes for the customer. Today I went with the Benedict Crêpe, a marriage of my two favorite breakfast foods. It was selfish. Perfectly cooked egg, light and refreshing.

Prosecco and berry crepes… A brunch of the goddesses. Came here with the ladies for an mid morning brunch and was delightfully surprised by the speed at which we were seated(I mean 11am on a Sunday in 70 degree weather? That’s high brunch time!) The crepes were epically tasty, and paired with prosecco… Yesssss. Will definitely be bringing my husband here on a Sunday in future.

This was our first time here. We were actually on our way to Greeks Pizza but they were closed and I didn’t want to go get the car and try to repark some other place. We were told it would be 30min wait. Ended up being about 5min. I ordered a broken yolk bacon sandwich. My husband ordered a ham and white cheddar omelet. My only complaint totaly not enough bacon. His complaint the omelet was a bit wetter then he would have liked. Those that eat eggs may understand that. Everything did taste really good though. Our server was also good at her job. It was a very good choice for Sunday brunch. They serve all and welcome all!

I often go here for breakfast or brunch but decided to try out the dinner menu today and was throughly impressed. It was a rather small menu but offered a pretty decent array of options. I got the chicken breast with lemon sauce topped with arugula. It was perfectly cooked and the lemon sauce really added great seasoning and taste. On the side I got Brussels sprout chips that were literally SO good. I could have had three more bowls. The flavors were jam packed and left me wanting more and more. I finished dinner off with the chocolate mouse that came topped with whipped cream and sea salt and it was heavenly. Very rich and flavorful. Easily could be split between two people with the portion that is given. I believe dinner options is till fairly new here so it was relatively empty for a Friday night in broad ripple but gave us fast service which I love!

Zut alors!
