Super nice, super friendly employees. Security guard is a little creepy and hovers a bit too much near customers. Front of store is too congested with carts, etc. Overall a very good shopping experience.

They carry a wide variety of expired products including frozen spinach, yogurt, and children’s ibuprofen. Also, look for rotten zucchini and flies in the produce section. Sure, the store looks nicer on the inside than on the outside, but that doesn’t matter if you can’t find what you’re looking for because it’s either expired or out of stock. Evidently, Kroger thinks it’s okay to run a store like this in a poorer neighborhood. They also have probably the most potholed parking lot I have ever experienced. Be careful not to park in front of the store next door in the strip mall because the wheels on the carts will lock before you get to your car.

I regularly visit this hard scrabble Kroger, but the selection reflects the neighborhood. It’s on the way home, and decent for staples, but I never think«I LOVE this location». Shadeland and Thompson Rd. locations are MUCH nicer.

It’s next to a Chase ATM, Ace Hardware, and McDonald’s. Compared to the Marsh, I feel like I got twice as much stuff for 75% of the cost. It doesn’t look as yuppy as the marsh, but I don’t care about that. The checkout lady was great — she didn’t over bag my groceries and blessed me on my way out. Then when I filled up my car with my groceries, a boy(who looked like the lead singer of The Fray) came by to take my cart and wish me a good evening. Such manners! I’ll be back. Here’s a sampling of what I got last week: Ground beef — 1.5 lbs for $ 3 Big container of blueberries — $ 2 Bananas — $ 0.49/lb Oranges — $ 0.73 each Mushrooms — $ 1.95 Asparagus — $ 2 for a bunch(they were pencil, tender tips so less going to waste)
