More commonly referred to as «Paradise Beach,» this park has everything you need for a day in the sun. Wide sandy beaches, multiple pavillions with grills, a food truck, playground, sand volleyball, bathrooms, and lifeguards.

I recall when«Paradise Beach» was a path down the dune to a rocky beach where high school kids would get stoned. Now it’s a family-friendly beach-side park with a HUGE pavilion with picnic tables and fixed grills; a really nice playground for the kids; decent restrooms; and a respectable boardwalk down to the beach.

A park with an ocean The Howard E. Futch Memorial Park is a 13 acre park that is mostly beach, sand and ocean. Some great views, waves, wind and salt. The park was recently renovated and now has three pavilions, lots of grills, picnic areas, benches, showers, clean bathrooms and even a drinking fountain. The main attraction of course is the ocean. A whole heap of water out there as well as sharks, rip currants and other rather unpleasant things. But that’s part of what makes the ocean so much fun. There are lifeguards during the summer and the waves here never seem as foracious as in other spots. Plenty of beach to spread out and find your own spot. The water is always warm and the beach sand nice and soft. Parking can be iffy druing the busy summer moths but there is alwasy something if you are willing to walk a bit. A great place to spend some time in or near the ocean.
