Customer Service was great! Joey from the Geek Squad tried his best to help us with our beats issue… The place is great too! It’s near the mall and hospital. Can’t really miss it!

I dealt with trying to buy a laptop computer from this company online, Lee’s Summit store was out of what wanted, tried this store 10÷16÷14, talked to really nice man who said they were out of it also but would have some in that night, and have them for sale Friday. I had arranged pickup at LS store on Chipman, by daughter, had been told 4 would be there and she could pick it up. Got text message saying it was ready on her phone, so she went to pick it up… no, it was IN the store but not in their system, until 10⁄21 she couldn’t pick it up? Canceled that order after getting nowhere with LS store… and tried at 8:15 to call this Independence store. For 45 minutes, kept getting told how valuable I was to them, and how I had 1 person before me… and then would get cut off. Call back and same thing happened. Decided to see just how long it would take to get a real person. At 9pm, I gave up. I was deliberately hung up on 3 or 4 times… you could hear them connect to the call and then it phone hang up. Never got a real person. Doubt they were busy, they just didn’t want to deal with anyone. So their poor customer service cost them 500 last night… and since I also am needing a desktop for myself, there is another 600 or so, as well as I am wanting a laptop too. potentially another 600. Went to Office Depot… called their 24 hour customer service… and ordered it last night, and it is in the store ready for her to pick up.

My wife and I came in here today to upgrade her to a new Sprint galaxy S5 phone. Though we did have to wait for just a bit we were greeted by a very nice young man who was being trained for a job in the mobile department and his trainer Luke. Luke is a great guy and full of humor and great information to keep you engaged and while doing that working on the computer, giving information to the young man he was training and answering the questions of people who would come up, all without missing a beat and not becoming rattled in the least. Personally he shouldn’t have had to go to that level, folks at the front door should have been able to field some of those questions or some of the other employees mulling about could have also, but Luke was more than happy too Also Luke got all of my wife’s information transferred over to her S5 to which I am now jealous of her phone because it’s bigger than mine, nicer and faster. We go to Best Buy Mobile to get our new phones when we upgrade, because corporate Sprint stores don’t care, their attitude is here’s your phone, here’s your number and this is how much and oh do you want us to transfer the information for you .at best buy it’s a given that they should without being asked. If I have but one complaint Best Buy charges 8 dollars to put a screen protector on…

Well Best Buy you did it you made me give me give you 2 stars all because I got help as soon as I walked in the door. Is the first time I’ve been to Best Buy since 2007. So thank you for opening the door and asking me if I needed help I might come back and if I do and you help me again I might give you 3 stars. Keep up the good work Best Buy!

HORRIBLE customer service today! Returned a samsung LED tv, 7 months old, a large section of the screen stops working. I call, they say bring it in. Stand in long line, csr first says he cant see whats wrong with screen. people in line were yelling out they could see it from way back in line. He then. tells me to. go bring up one just like it for exchange. My daughter and I find it unassisted, lug it up to service desk and another CSR then says«oh no, we cant do an EXCHANGE, it has to go to the service dept.» We move to that section, takes them forever to fill out paperwork, they cant give me a definate time frame on repair. Could be 5 business days, could be a month I was told. AREYOUKIDDINGME? You sell poor quality products and the customer is then at the mercy of your inefficient repair dept? Wal-Mart has a better return process than this. Buy elsewhere, where they arent brain dead and appreciate your business.

Looks like this store has had issues before. My visit was awesome. Tax free weekend. Crazy busy. So cell phones. Tablets. And I have a phone issue where I needed to train in. I’m a huge pain in the but. Everything breaks. But the two mobile guys that helped me were patient really helpful and knew there stuff. I area ate there honesty about how ruff I am on this stuff. I may have been there a while be use of all the crazyness. But they made me feel like it was taking no time at all. Most amazing part. These people get NOTHING for being helpfull other then an hourly paycheck. People at best buy are NOT on COMMISSION. I actually got my phone up by zona rosa«tiffany springs» from the best buy there be use of there geek squad protection. And always went there to the same guy. Not that he isn’t there any more I have gotten terrible service. But guess what. He’s at this store now. So it’s not the store that sucks. It’s the employee. If you need a phone. Tablet. Or home entertainment ask for Luke w. or Jarad w. they will both do what’s best for your needs. And actually take the time to listen to what you want

He was very friendly & we ended up not needing some of the parts we purchased for the radio installation & he was honest & up front about it. Must be Monday, walked in to spend $ 200.00 smacks… no one helped us. lots of employees standing around talking to each other. Don’t they work on commish? Your loss today guys… wake up! We were going to buy a stereo today, well when employees want to talk to their coworkers more than the customer with money in his pocket then I guess I go else where.

So, I went in there today with some family members that were wanting to spend some money on an Android tablet. They did not have the one my uncle was looking for, but instead there was a sign saying«coming soon!» My aunt asks, «what does that mean?» Get this reply from the sales person: «I don’t know. I only work here once every two weeks. The rest of the time I work for the Royals.» Then he turns around and walks off. What? You have got to be kidding me. Is it any wonder that Amazon is eating the lunch of places like this? This has nothing to do with the economy. It has everything to do with hiring shoddy employees that don’t care.

I’m very surprised people have found helpful employees at this Best Buy. When my fiancé and I go in there to look at cameras, even though we don’t need help, it would be nice if one of the several employees just walking around would ask us if we do.

A lot of chain stores are pretty much«if you’ve you’ve been to one, you’ve been to them all.» I guess this Best Buy location holds that to be pretty true. I have never had an issue at this Best Buy, the staff has always been helpful and decently knowledgeable on their merchandise. I think the floors look kind of dingy, but thats just my OCD, haha. Avoid Best Buy around Christmas though. My god, it gets scary.

5 stars… if only for the complete MAC display, and the fact that I just bought a new computer from this store today, and was helped by an awesome employee,(female), who knew about the product. Every question I had was answered fully. I wish I had gotten her name, cause I’d type it in this review. Oh and, it’s totally true, the Ipad is like a large Ipod Touch,(I got onto my Facebook in the store, lol) and the guy who checked me out(a friend of mine), told me this. I felt like this store has had some improvement since I went in last month. I tend to thrive on Best Buy, and I’m glad to be writing this review.
