***** DIVE BAR! I Couldn’t have asked for a better representation. I loved the atmosphere and the name made me think for one second it wasn’t what it is. My bartender was helpful and nice. Colorful collection of characters who made me feel like I just walked in on a movie set. Judie is excellent and whatever that other guy said was a lie. He clearly sucks at life. Gonna make this my new go to Bar when I miss my hometown and wanna escape all the other trendy bars in SD.

Still a crap hole, not even worthy of being called a dive bar. I live 3 blocks from here and rarely stop in. The last time the bartender, Judy or Julie, ripped me off by saying I gave her a $ 5 when I know I gave her a $ 10. I could typically care less about $ 5 but this is not the first time I’ve personally seen shady crap from the bartender’s here.
And you gotta love the bums in there asking you to buy them a beer, but they scatter quickly when Chris (the owner, nice guy) shows up.
I’ll probably stop in every couple of months, but I’ll ensure the bartender is correct in the amount of $$ I give…

This place is ok. It is mostly older locals but they are all very friendly. It’s a good spot to stop and grab a pitcher $ 10.00 before a night out or before 2:00 a.m. :) can’t say much more it’s just a local dive.

Came back, a few months later, went on a thursday night and enjoyed it so much came back on friday night. Linda (blond from New Jersey, in case i heard her name wrong) the bartender was really welcoming on my first night, and on night two, remembered my drink, and that I like quarters for the table centipede game, which keeps me coming back, as I am a girl of the 80’s! What really blew me away was that the owner who I had met a few months back, remembered me by name! Again great customer service.

The bartenders are friendly and attentive. They seem to be up to date on the popular drinks. Music is always playing and there are plenty of pool tables.

Came here with some family and friends for a birthday celebration. It was all our first time there and we did not know what to expect. You walk into a merry group of people, perfect dim lighting, and the sound of laughter in your ear drums. The ambiance was a laid back, dive bar, welcoming vibe. They have a jukebox that my friends and I were playing eminem, to the killers, to Banda.
Jessie the bartender was nothing but sweet and social. She treated us like family and was an attentive host. Ask her to make you the Mexican candy ;). You’ll appreciate the hefty serving of alcohol in each drink, as well ;)
My only request is more food options! But I’m a fatty and was content with walking to the taco shop next door.
I don’t live in San Diego anymore. But places like this make me miss home to a higher caliber. Keep rocking!

The bartenders Linda & Jessie are awesome! They know every drink I request. And they are fast & friendly. Great juke box. Sign up with «TouchTunes» on your phone and you can play music through your phone. Pool tables are good! Will come come back.

Close to home so easy to stumble back at the end of the night. Lol The bartenders are cool. Good variety of local ib people. Dj plays on friday nights 8pm-​midnight.
Only one bathroom for ladies :(
Place could use a good cleaning.

My hubby and I went here with some friends on a Sat night. It’s a total dive bar that needs a thorough cleaning. One of the female bartenders was totally drunk but at least she paid attention to the customers. The other bartender was crying with mascara streaming down her face because her boyfriend was out of town. She completely ignored the rather full bar so she could txt on her cell or stand against the wall and cry. Once she was done with that drama show, she began washing glasses, again completely ignoring the line of patrons waiting for a drink. When she finally decides to help someone, she pours a pitcher of beer spilling at least 2 pints into the drip tray and on the floor. One lady asked for a vodka cran and she gave her a Crown and vodka– in a highball glass! She made that same mistake not once but twice. Everyone has bad days at work, but this was incompetence and stupidity of epic proportions. As much as I would like to say I will never go back, we probably will because my husband said the people watching was phenomenal.

Definitely a neighborhood dive bar ~ but that’s not a bad thing. New owners are making nice renovations. Plenty of pool tables. Good drinks. My husband & I visit somewhat regularly since it is close to home

I’m a fan. Amber Bock on tap! I like this bar but it always seems empty and slightly unwelcoming. The same crowd is always there and the bartenders are friendlier now.
