Applebee’s

Went to get my latest addiction; not sure of the spelling ‘Thai, Tai or etc’ salad… Even though, GREG is always amazing no matter what & appreciated. Pls forgive me for the spelling of the name, but here we good ‘Natalie, Natalia or close & she is behind the bar or was. Not only is she professional, she is kind, she was pretty & and she was multi tasking when she was trying to complete my order. She went to ring it up again, while STILL busy multi tasking, and don’t get it messed up she was a professional and got me out of there in no time, and with a SMILE. She was AWESOME. The food was done in no time also and including everything ;I asked for ‘Thank You Applebee’s & Nataly. You are going to have to teach me how to spell your name, and i’ll do another review for you ;)

Came in to watch the NBA Finals and saw they had tvs all over. Cool! But then when I was seated, the hanging lights blocked every tv in the restaurant. Who designed this place? No bueno! Not coming back to this location.

We haven’t been to Applebees in a very long time. We may not be back to Applebees in a very long time.
We went a few weeks ago and got a table in the bar area. i ordered one of their premium margaritas in a shaker and it’s mostly ice and it only filled about 2 ½ Martini glasses and it was done.
We ordered an appetizer (Quesadilla) and it was the smallest one we’ve ever had at a restaurant. It took sooo long to come out that Happy hour was over by 7 mins.
I asked for another drink and they said Happy hour was over. Well if it didnt take 20 mins to come up we would of had plenty of time for Happy hour.
They wouldn’t honor the Happy hour –and then our food came. Our sandwiches came and it was the smallest sandwiches we’re ever seen. We’ve had better ones at 7 – 11.
On my steak sandwich the cheese was hardly melted.
Overall one of our worst dining experiences ever. Only reason for 2 stars is our waiter was very nice and I don’t blame him for the long wait for our food. I just wish he would of honored Happy hour after a friggin long wait for our food.

Came here for last minute dinner …
It was a bad experience.
We waited 5 — 10 min before someone took our order
Once the food arrived it looked like something that came out of the Walmart frozen dinner aisle. We requested that they take the food back and they give us something else. And then when the food arrived, there were no utensils given OR dinner napkins. They checked on our table one time. They comp’d one meal.

Honestly, I just downloaded the app to review this place. We get seated, ask for happy hour menu, turns out we are on the wrong side of restaurant (we weren’t informed until seated). Okay, fine. We go back to waiting for a bar area table. We sit there for 30 minutes… all of that time there was an empty table, just waiting to be cleaned. What are the hostess doing instead? Talking. After a while, they finally cleaned it and we got sat.
Our waiter was really awkward and distracted.
Ordered our drinks and some water, took around 15 minutes to get them. I understand the drinks, but not the water. Anyway, we give our order. Everything seems to be going okay, but no.
After 25 minutes, we finally get our appetizer (spinach artichoke dip). Manager comes over after and asked who ordered the Mac and Cheese. Boyfriend says he did, and then they continue to say they are out of it. If he would like to change his order. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR OUR FOOD FOR 30 minutes now. I tell her that they should have said so since the beginning of the order. She apologizes and walks away with a «oops» attitude. By this time, I’m pissed. We went there at 8pm, ended up eating around 9:30 — 9:45pm.
We finally get our food… I had the grilled chicken and shrimp (not sure of the name), food is burnt. At this point, whatever. Waiter didn’t bother to check on us much.
It was awkward, disappointing service and food– hostess need to get trained. Learn how to sit your tables and stop gossiping instead of doing your job. Managers need to be on top of it. I work in the restaurant business, this was terrible.

Came here last night with my husband after a night of running errands.
We were greeted immediately and seated right away. Our waiter seemed nice and got our drinks right away. We ordered the 3 for $ 25 deal, 1 appetizer and 2 entrees. We ordered the boneless wings with Asian sauce. Unfortunately we got them 5 mins before our entrées. In the mean time of waiting for the appetizer our server did not come up to check on us if we needed any fresh drinks or to reassure us that our food was coming. After eating the appetizer, I got my sirloin 6oz steak. It was cooked perfectly but unfortunately the steak and sides were completely cold. I choice the 4 cheese Mac and cheese and mash potatoes. The Mac and cheese tasted old and mushy and the mash potatoes tasted like they were made from the box. To say the least, I was not impressed at all and we were better off going to jack in the box for dinner.

I guess I have not learned my lesson yet. But this Applebee’s seems like it’s always lacking on prompt service. Ordered some appetizers which came at same time as main course.
Ordered 12 oz steak that looked the same size as my wife’s 6 oz steak. My sides were Garlic Mashed potatoes That I needed to mash at the table. Ridiculous. I had the waitress order me some new Mashers but the new one was just as Bad. I gave up and just ate the tough steak and 4 cheese Mac cheese.

So disappointed my waiter mike took for ever to offer us drinks but came by to give us napkins? I thought the first thing they ask if for drinks anyway took about 20 – 30 minutes to get a glass of water the pasta I got was so bad it had tomato and I bit of cream and it had no flavor what so ever only had three pieces of chicken. Will definitely not come here again

I wish I could give no stars! Worst customer service. Waited there for 45 mins and realized the had completely skipped us to be seated. All the hostess were doing was sitting around chatting with each other. It seemed sketchy going in it smelled bad and felt like a low budget restaurant. Didn’t even stay to eat walked out after informing our hostess they had skipped us!

I don’t hardly give five stars, but this place was on point today. Our waitress (Summer B.) was super nice and she was on top of everything. Even though she was about eight months pregnant and on her feet all day, she never let our glasses get below half way and was super friendly and efficient. She checked on us about four or five times. We only had to wait maybe two minutes to get seated because they had some sort of meeting in the back of the restaurant but that was fine.
The appetizer, salad, main meal, and the dessert were all on time and very tasty. The lighting and atmosphere were great. I have nothing bad to say about this place. She deserved the 50% tip we left her. :)
We will definitely be back to this location and recommend this place.

The beer pretzels are the best. the half order of appetizers 3 for $ 12.50 will fill you up.
My wife and i both got the All In burger medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. good atmosphere and great services.

The food is delightful! Delicious every time! Service is good but idk I feel like this place isn’t all that special. I like plaza Bonita location better. The atmosphere is better at plaza Bonita. I still like apple bees

Came here last night with the family. It wasn’t busy so we get to pick our booth. Our waitress, forgot her name, was very prompt. My daughter and I picked the 2 for $ 25, a burger and a kids meal. We got our orders right away. We got 3 different girls delivered our food. We asked for a mayo and it took us 10 minutes till we had to ask again.
Below are food reviews:
— Boneless wings with honey bbq. It tasted like a store bought frozen microwaved wings and slathered in sauce.
— Bourbon Street Chicken and shrimp. The actual serving looks like half of what it looks like in the photo. It’s a bit spicy and nothing to rave about.
— 4 cheese Mac & cheese with honey chicken. Mac & cheese tasted bland. The salty taste that you are looking for from the cheese and bacon was over taken by the sweetness of the chicken.
— kids mini hamburger. My daughter didn’t eat her burger after a bite. She said she doesn’t like it. My oldest daughter tired it and didn’t care for it. What I’ve notice on the kids meal fries had lots of pepper. They should serve fried without pepper.
— New All day brunch burger is the only hit from our order.
Ambiance is okay, servers were okay, food was a waste of money. Disappointed.

Came here for a drink and a snack to watch Charger game
The service at the bar is horrible
3 female bartenders who seen to be nice girls however don’t have a clue about guest service
Also standing in the well eating garnish for the drinks with their manager (big guy) not saying a word
So unsanitary to just eat and touch ur hair and then make your drinks
What’s going on with Applebee’s?

My beautiful friend Monet and I decided to try the new Applebee’s on Palomar St. In Chula Vista. We both were greeted by very friendly host and hostess’. We were enticed by the Happy Hour area but there were no seats available in that area. We then settled for the dinning area. We were seated in a very comfortable area with a good view of four televisions displaying thursday night football. We asked for our drinks a Cuba Libre for myself and a margarita for Monet. Both drinks were superbly mixed. The ambience is very friendly and casual.
Food: we settled for Applebee’s 2 for $ 25 combo. The reason for that is that we were both undecided on individual entrees. The appetizer that we chose was the Boneless Buffalo Wings. For my taste the chicken breast used was dry and overcooked. On the other hand Monet loved them. Here we are were split. To the individual entreé’s. Monet’s dish was a NY strip steak served with seasones smashed potatoes and a steamed vegetable medley. She loved the dish after the steak had to be re-​fired because it was not medium well like she asked. My entreé included a half rack of baby back ribs with seasoned fries and a small remequin of cole slaw. The ribs were very well flavored. Unfortunately the ribs could have been cooked two minutes less. They were a little too dry for my taste.
Overall:
The service was most excellent from our host to our waiter. Where some improvement can be made is better detail to cooking the food in respect to timing and tecnique. I would reccomend using an expeditor that checks if the food is cooked correctly as well as good presentation before it goes out to the customer. The only thing keeping me from giving a 4 star review is the cooking techniques. I give this Applebee’s 3.5 stars for this review.
Note: 5 star reviews I reserve for michelin type resraurants.

This is a great applebees! I came here with my mom for lunch and was greeted right away by the host Luis, He was very friendly and asked how my day was.
Our server Roman was very friendly as well and always checked up on us and filled our drinks without even having to ask. I really like their selection on the 2 for 20 and the 2 for 25 menus. You get an appetizer and two entrees. Drinks aren’t included.
The onion rings we ordered were excellent and our meals were delicious. The onion rings were perfectly crispy. My mom really liked their BBQ sauce we had with the onion rings. I must say the dessert shooters are a MUST TRY they are so good! I ordered all three and couldnt even finish them but they were excellent. The chocolate mousse shooter was my favorite!
Overall a very nice applebees with excellent service!

My update is sort of mixed. I came in happy hour ordered a sculptun, and my magarita with salted rim and a glass of water. The drinks took over 5 minutes to come my rim wasnt salted and as always i didnt get my glass of water on the side. Our appitizers came out one after another tho… that was good timing and then also later ordered the 2 for $ 20 meal. Overall ill give it a 3 in a half stars because the server did have a very cordial attitude ans was very helpful detail oriented. I would come back to eat in with her but hopefully next time the drinks dont take as long.

The service here has improved GREATLY, when they first opened the service was horrible. The servers are quick, food comes out fast and drinks are yummy lol

Please do yourself, your wife, and your wallet a favor and stay away from this place.
My fiancé and I arrived here around 2:20pm today and left at 3:30pm. We ended up coming here because we decided to finally try it. In a rush, I decided to skip checking the Unilocal reviews… oh how I wish I did.
We were seated immediately after walking in, as they weren’t busy. We chose to sit at the back booth, which happened to be dirty. We waited about 5 minutes, standing, until a waitress finally came back with a towel to clean the table.
After sitting down, we ordered our drinks and chips with salsa. One skinnybee pomegranate margarita and a sculpin IPA. They must’ve been brewing the IPA and picking the pomegranates because we waited about 15 minutes if not longer for our drinks. When they finally brought us our drinks, they apparently forgot the chips and salsa. I’m assuming they were also making the salsa?! We ordered our food about 5 minutes after receiving our drinks. Still no chips…
It took forever to get our food. When the waitress finally brought our food, lone behold, she also had our chips with salsa. What restaurant brings you your chips and salsa appetizer with your actual entrée? Seriously?
The pepper crusted sirloin was awful. One bite, gross, we had them take it back. My fiancé ordered a steak medium, he recieved a well done steak. We Cleary said MEDIUM when we ordered. I chose not to reorder a dish and had them remove the pepper crusted sirloin from the bill.
It took another who knows how long for them to bring us his steak medium. By the time they brought it, we decided to leave. The manager then came to speak with us…
I give this review a star not because it’s the lowest rating you can give, but for the manager’s willingless to remove both entrees and charge us only the 2 drinks and chips with salsa. Honestly though, I feel as if he should’ve given us a discount on what we did purchase due to the anything but pleasant service we recieved.
We ended up coming to Hectors Mariscos down the street. It is not 4:18 and we are finished with our food! We were brought chips and our drinks immediately after sitting down. We walked in at 345 by the way. Now THAT is great food and GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I’ve been here before 3 times & all 3 times were good & it was at dinner time. But this time I came for lunch in early December 12−10−14 on a Wednesday. The food was good but man the service was horrible! The greeter/​hostess girl sat us down right away next to the bar (she was good). We sat for at least 15 to 20 min & no one would make eye contact with us let alone ask if we were thirsty! Our waiter girl had to orders to go she took care of them & never bother to look at us! She was at the bar counting $ & just chilling talking to another worker with her back to us! I was bout to get up & leave but my wife really wanted wings so she flagged the greeter/​hostess girl & told her no one has attended us! And it was SLOW! No customers hardly! So she came took our drink order. She tells our waitress then our waitress brings it to us all slow motion status.
And I notice right away my wife’s Pepsi was water down but I say nothing & let her take a drink since she wanted to stay. Right away she makes a face & tells our waitress’s she replys «oh I notice that when I made it I thought something must be wrong with it» WTF? Really you thought! And you still gave it to us! Any ways she took our order then instead of giving our order right away to the cooks she started playing with the tv trying to find a channel for some guy who barley walked in! That took her like 5 min! I was getting mad! Then the manager had to pick up our menus cuz she forgot & the manager told her she needed to pick them up next time. And then the greeter/​hostess girl ended up bringing my wife’s Pepsi cuz our waitress forgot!
I usually never complain at food places cuz I worked as a manger in some of them and I didn’t want to get anyone in trouble but I was real close to it! My food came fast tho & it was real good so that calm me down. So now I’m happy. So I ask for the bill & tell my waitress I’m ready to go so I get it. Well guess what she disappears & I wait bout 10 to 15 min for her to come back to get my card! And again it was not busy at all! She was nice when she did interacted with us but damn she was slow & not very attentive! I left there mad!

This was my fav Apple Bees in SD too which upsetted me even more. But you know what I won’t let that effect me. I had 3 good trips here & won’t turn on them for one bad trip. So I’ll come back BUT NOT FOR LUNCH! I’ll come back for dinner. Tho I want to say the Waitress name cuz I know it, I won’t cuz I don’t want no one to get in trouble. But she needs to get her Caca together! Hopefully next time I can give them more stars, BUT AT DINNER TIME! I hope mangers read this & notice that the customer service here seems to be a problem at this Apple Bees if they read there Unilocal reviews. Please fix it.
