I made an order for two sandwiches for my husband and I on March 2nd at 7pm online for delivery from the D’Angelos Hyde Park location in Massachusetts. By 8pm, it will did not arrive. I called the restaurant but the phone kept ringing. I didn’t get in contact with someone until 8:10 and they let me know that the driver was on the way. At 8:35, the delivery STILL did not arrive, so I called back to let them know. I was told, «the driver is on the way». I let them know that I made this order OVER an hour and a half ago and it still did not arrive. With attitude they said, «I don’t know what you want me to do. What do you want me to do?» At that point, I was EXTREMELY frustrated and just said thank you and hung up. The deliver drive shows up a few minutes later and guess what? THEENTIREORDERWASINCORRECT! I have no idea what they even out on these sandwiches and the burger(that was supposed to be on an Italian sub roll, was burnt with Swiss cheese, bacon, banana peppers and mayo. The other sandwich, was not beef. It was some chicken sandwich. The driver said, «we can make you a new one.» A driver returns at 10pm with only ONE sandwich. I am really frustrated as I have not eaten tonight. I usually have great service from D’Angelos, but I’ve been extremely disappointed with this three hour saga.

I called and placed an order at this D’angelos. The guy put me on hold for like five minutes and came back and said anything else so I said no. My friend went to pick it up and they did not have the order! They told her I must have ordered from another location — which was not the case. So she has to wait for 20 minutes for them to make it. There was only one cool and three others standing around. The cook was disgruntled and complaining about cooking the food. Of course when I got the order it was half burnt and super salty. Very disappointed. Should have ordered elsewhere!

They always have pretty good service. I wouldn’t say this is the worst deangelos they do the best with what that have. They need q remodel however it’s not bad.

Was a regular customer of this D’angelos for a couple of years. I would have them deliver when I didn’t feel like cooking. Never again! I ordered a steak and cheese and guess what was inside? Yes lots of hair. yuk

My experience at this D’Angelos is totally different from the other review. This D’Angelos is no different than any other in terms of food quality, safety, taste, and preparation. What I like most about this D’Angelos is its employees. All nice people work here. I have been to this one at least a dozen times and don’t have a single complaints; just compliments. They are not even slow here like some of the other locations.

I have to start by saying that I have been to this particular D’angelo sandwich shop more than once. I have also frequented many other D’angelo shops. The parking is not great, there are about seven or eight spaces designated for the entire place, never enough spots available. At this particular location, the lettuce is never fresh, it appears to be wilted, soggy and sometimes part brown. Also, they do not put enough veggies on the sandwich. The bread is also never fresh, usually very hard. I tried it several times, hoping it was just one bad sandwich, and it was also a convenient location. What a shame. On one occasion, I was food poisoned after eating at this place. I had diarrhea for three weeks and visited the emergency room twice. I visited the city website and observed a recent health code violation. I called and spoke to the manager after I got sick and he insisted that it could not have been from his food. I insist that it was his food, I ate his food at 5pm in the evening when I ate nothing else that day or during the night(I was asleep). He was rude and he needs a reality check. One of my co-workers also stated that he was sick for a week after eating at that particular restaurant. As soon as I told my co-worker that I was sick from a turkey sub at D’angelo, he said, «Which one did you go to, the one in Hyde Park?» I usually love D’angelo sandwich shops, but by all means avoid this particular location, unless you do not mind being violently ill. Report any illness to city hall and the D’angelo risk management department(online). BEWARE!
