I’m from Nashville number he picky about my barbecue and especially the turkey and I was pleasantly surprised he found out I like this place much better really good food and nice people I will be back for sure:)

Just OK BBQ, there’s a lot of Q to be had in North Alabama and Lawlers is one of the staples but not one of the best, not bad just run of the mill. The pulled pork is a little dry and not a lot of smoke flavor, the sides are just average and the prices are a little high for the amount of food you get. I had the pulled pork plate with two side and a large drink and the total bill was a bit over $ 10, pricey in ny opinion for the small amount of food. Overall not a bad place but there’s much better to be found around here, I also question BBQ joints when there’s no pit onsite and this is one of those places where they bring the meat in that’s smoked elsewhere.

So good! The staff is so friendly & helpful. They were full of energy & got the job done in no time. My husband and I got the stuffie potatoes, and they were not only deliciously wonderful but filling as well. Their bbq sauce is sweet and tangy, and went well with the potato. I would definitely recommend Lawlers!

Moved here 3 weeks ago and have dined out daily. 5 stars for the Stuffie potato; the BEST EVER and a true joy to enjoy! Staff is friendly, great service, and great eats! Awesome daily specials; I’m a big fan! LawLers is the best BBQ in town, in my humble opinion!

Super-​quick, super-​casual, and pretty tasty. I like to stop in here when I’m working on this side of town. It’s a simple square restaurant with a window to order at and about 10 or so tables. The prices seem a little lower than the other ‘que options around town. I’ve only gotten turkey, and I’ve always been happy with it. The turkey plate, turkey sandwich, and turkey bbq salad have all been very good. The turkey can’t touch Big Bob’s…but what turkey can? They have several sauce options. In the smaller squeeze bottle you will find the hot bbq sauce. This stuff really is no joke. I must caution that a little dab WILL do ya. Your food is ready in no time and it’s really easy to get in and out here. And added bonus: they have the tiny Sonic-​like ice cubes in their ice machine. I think this style of ice should be mandated EVERYWHERE.

When my parents come to town we seem to always end up getting Lawlers. It’s fast and the sides are amazing. Our favorites are the baked beans and the grean beans. The staff is very friendly.
I’ve eaten inside a few times and the dining room is okay. There’s a TV so if you would rather zone out and not interact with your family then this works for you. For us, we prefer take out.

The BBQ was good, but the staff was exceptionally friendly. Everyone that came in was having a good laugh while at the counter. I have been known to visit other locations. Really like the one near Athens State University campus in Athens; it’s not an «express». They serve cafeteria style.

Lawler’s is good BBQ, but not great BBQ. Having said that I would sure not turn it down. It is consistently good, the dining area is always very clean and the food is delivered hot and fast. The sides are always good as well. The help is friendly and eager to please. Add the fact they weren’t playing that damned country music this time and I give it a BIG thumbs up!
