Nice vibe, décor and friendly staff. Wanted my drink stronger and waitress made sure it was perfect. Asparagus fries were delicious, mac and cheese, and the calamari. The chicken tostadas were okay. The peanut butter chocolate dessert was so delicious!

Great food — great service. The Manhattan vibes are radiating from this place. I had specifically asked for a cocktail — that I had in mind & it was created. Now that’s service! Thank you for having talented & trendy bartenders. I forget that I’m in Long Island when I walk in.

Came here with my friend and sat in the back at the bar near the kitchen. Everyone was so friendly. We loved the atmosphere. The food and drinks were amazing ! We shared the meatballs, cauliflower and wedge salad. The meatballs were out of this world. I loved the quote about the swallow on the wall. The staff was overly accommodating. We will be back!

I’ve been to the other one in Montauk. Everything is always great here, and you can’t go wrong. The staff was friendly, and attentive. Our drinks were made perfectly, not too strong, but delicious. Try the Tullulah drink, its seriously amazing. The gentlemans drink was good as well, if you like whisky. My favorite tapas we ordered was the Burata. The walnut pesto on it was to die for, and the prosciutto was a nice touch. I highly recommend ordering it. The mac and cheese was good, not great, and same with the short rib tacos. Nothing really stuck out at me about it. Next time I go, I will definitely try dessert. Excited for their lobster roll to come back!

Innovate cocktails. It’s clear that whoever is in charge of the bar menu is a mixologist. Great food. The butternut squash cappuccino is incredible! It’s one of our go-to spots in Huntington. Try it! You won’t be disappointed.

This place just calls to you on a warm evening to sit in the open air, enjoy a drink while watching the passersby on New York Avenue near the Paramount Theater. We came on a Thursday night at 5:30 and there were still many seats available). It definitely has a more formal feel – date night or nice night out. I didn’t really get the décor and how it related to the name of the restaurant – some gold-framed artwork depicting Beethoven and John Lennon… a little incongruous. The service was very good but not pretentious. The 3 servers we interacted with were professional while friendly, and checked in several times. Food was brought out within 10 minutes, and the waitress asked what order we would like. While tapas are not my thing(I’m a vegan/asian/health food nut), even so I had to admire the artistry of presentation. Each small plate deserved moment of appreciation that justified the $ 15 price tags. We ordered the beet salad(for me), louisiana crab cakes, shredded chicken tostada, and mama’s meatball parm. My meat-eating family members seemed to love everything, and what non-meat items I was able to pick out were delicious. We also ordered two Moscow Mules(lime juice, vodka, ginger beer) in copper mugs from the full bar. Lovely experience. On a side note, I’m glad reviewers other than myself questioned if the name implied a double entendre.

Minute you walk in the service was excellent. Our favorite at least mine were the burger sliders. Omg if i die let have one of these sliders to die for life changing. Also had the calamari perfectly cooked. Had the fries with the zest of lemon on top insane. The service was so good as soon as you put your glass down someone runs over can I get you another one. This place is excellent I eat out a lot. And this establishment has something really special going for them. Our waiter was excellent. Nothing at all to say bad about this place my girl and I ate some much we got home around 7 ish I fell asleep. Omg have no words. Wish a lot more places were a lot like this one. And there portions are a good size. Just a fyi

Fantastic place! Great craft cocktails, excellent food and superb service. Friendly wait staff, love the ambiance. Bartender makes an amazing sweet sour pig drink. It’s whisky, bacon and smokey. Winning combo! Just go, you’ll love it!

Let me first say that I like Swallow. Listen, it’s trying to be a Spotted Pig/Gastro/Hipster place. And that’s totally fine. Huntington needs one(but just one please) place like that. And the food? It’s good. It’s not«omg» good, but it is a welcome break from the American fare that dominates Huntington. Service is also good, servers and bartenders are always friendly. So I like Swallow… why am I so, so disappointed? Booze. The reason I go to a restaurant like this in the first place. I like a nice drink. And by a nice drink, I’m not saddling up to the bar and getting a Jack and Coke. My chick doesn’t drink Cosmo’s. We like booze — well made classic cocktails, or a bartender creation. We know our liquor and we appreciate bartenders and places that take pride in their drinks. But dude… you cannot have a drink on your menu with Bulleit Bourbon, and another with Small Batch Gin(Dillion out of CA) — again, WRITTEN on the menu as part of your«specialty drinks»…then give us Makers and Hendricks in those drinks. Makers and Hendricks are fine(Hendricks, more than fine actually) but those are much less expensive liquors than what you claim. If you say it’s Bulleit, and you give me Makers, realize you are ripping me off. If I order a glass of JW Black, and you give me Red, but charge for Black? I am fairly certain that’s illegal. At the least it’s crappy. Now you wouldn’t have the guts to do that, because even an inexperienced drinker would know the difference. Don’t insult my intelligence, my palate, and my liver, by giving me Makers over Bulleit. It’s like $ 1 an ounce more expensive, simply a finer Bourbon. What do you do if I’m not at the bar, watching you? Pour Wild Turkey? Are you giving Beefeater Martini’s to people? Are you(gasp) watering the booze? And the bartender said to me, when I asked him«we are making it with Makers Mark tonight.» That’s fine but 1) tell me before you make it and 2) THEBOURBONITISSUPPOSEDTOBEMADEWITHISRIGHTABOVEYOURHEAD. I CANSEEIT! What does that tell me? It tells me that the only, the ONLY thing that matters here is maximizing every revenue possible. And that’s cool, I own a business, that’s how it works. But doing it that way? That’s not the bartender. He seems like a really cool guy. And honestly, he can make a great drink. AND he knows his liquor — the guy is a pro. That’s management telling him what to do. That’s management taking an extra profit through lying to the customer. And that is so, so disappointing to me.

Omg the food in this restaurant is bananas! my favorite is their asparagus fries, swallow fries, seafood tacos & their steak is AMAZING! Drinks are yummy too, and my fave part is that you can sit by the bar & see the chef give orders in the kitchen & get to observe the cooking process. No complaints, I recommend this place to all. :).

First time at this place, was unsure what to expect for tapas style food, however I was blown away! I thought the menu had a variety to choose from, all plates we ordered had impeccable flavor and magnificent plating. The second time I went to Swallow, we waited for our table and had a drink at the bar. I would say that the bartender was a little less attentive and the drinks were a bit sloppy. I ordered more dishes, with more confidence that I would be satisfied. To no surprise I was, and I spread the word to friends and family who go to Swallow now too.

So my first experience here wasn’t what everyone talks about when they reflect on Swallow. This time however, you couldn’t hold me back! Oh and I’ll definitely be back! Everything we had was excellent, from the cocktails(A Bloody Mary and the Mule) to the waitress(Sabrina rocks) down to the very last speck of food on our plates, Swallow was down right amazing. The gf and I got some fries to satisfy our craving: crunchy-crispy and served with jalapeño aioli. We ordered in spurts getting: the duck confit pizza which was out of this world and probably our favorite of the night, though a touch too much salt but still amazing; burrata — what could be better? Amazing, earthy, nutty pesto under a light, melt in your mouth cheese drizzled with sweet and fruity balsamic, topped with prosciutto and tomato — dreamy. Deviled eggs which were smooth, reasonable, and delish. Last but certainly not least was the short rib with soba noodle and Thai chilis I believe… Whatever the case may be, it was more than worth ordering and stuffing our faces with. It was fork tender and the work of the gods like everything else we enjoyed today. Lucky lucky us! The end of the meal was a surprise chocolate cake with a rich peanut-butter mouse that we simply could not refuse! Overall today it was a five star meal and the service is what clinched it. Last time we were in I wasn’t thrilled with either but today our waitress is the reason for a definite 5th star. The girlfriend assumed I was leaving her for our cute waitress & if she brought us one more yummy thing… yes! we were taking her home in a to go box for sure.

Swallow! Whaaaaaaaat, this place is the tits. A few friends and I have been looking at this place for a while, glad we finally made it. Nicely decorated, the cozy kind of place u want to sit and enjoy for a while… When you walk in there is a small bar area and then to the left is a decent sized dining area, it was bigger than it looks from the outside . Ordered the asparagus fries, veggie/pork bahn mi, Mac and cheese(yes, it’s made with orzo and that is genius), short rib(noodles that came with it were weird), duck pizza(honestly was not a fan, it was weird and kind of cold and no one at our table liked it, all duck lovers as well). The food was good you can tell they pay much attention to detail and I admire that in a place I’m dining, it makes me enjoy the food more… Asparagus fries were a nice kick of to the other stuff we ordered. I’ve had better but still good. Pork veggie bahn mi was so good but it is small so keep in mind with your party of peeps. It was so fresh and I really actually loved that. Mac and cheese obv straight win. And bacon in it to elevate the whole cheesy orzo goodness in my mouth… Short rib was cooked to perfection but honestly the noodles that accompanied it were quite disgusting, I actually hated them. Very weird, cold, awkward tasting dirty water noodle. Also, the duck pizza came highly recommended and although the presentation is cute with the small box and all, that was the least favorite. We also decided to be fat and get all 3 desserts… Whoever said less is more obviously is stupid. Pb cup looking chocolate Ganache cakes(good enough for two, the portion was nice), bowl of cheesecake something or other eh I’m not S cheesecake fan unless it has Oreos in it so I’m biased… And the bomb ass Nutella marshmallow bread pudding. I loved it, others I were with were partial, they said it was too hard… I enjoyed this place a lot and I will be coming back especially since they change up their menu a lot! Get the tullulahs drink!!! And now that I’m sitting here their menu kind of reminded me of tullulahs which I also love… Wonder if they’re connected in any way? Come to this place, you won’t be disappointed.

Out and about again and this time we find ourselves out in Huntington. Brother has been talking up Swallow and we couldn’t resist. We tried getting Open Table ressies but there were none to be had so we just called and lo and behold we got ressies, YAY! The drinks are fantabulous and you will not be shortchanged. Hooray for good bartenders! Ok– lets rate the food. We got mussels, i think they were the best of the selections we made; the octopus, meh, I think the bean purée was better than the octopus itself. The pasta with clams — I’m a saltaholic and this was beyond what I could stand, and it was way short of aldente, more likely crunchy but in the wrong direction. And last but not least, the short ribs. Those puppies were both spicy and salty!!! Now I know there is a whole movement to ‘season’ the foods properly but they are a little heavy handed when it comes to salt. Taste your food chef’s! It doesn’t automatically come out ok.

Best way I can sum up my experience is that it left much to be desired. I saw all the nice photos of pretty food and drinks people were posting so I arrived excited as ever. Started off with some drinks, I had one with candied bacon on the rim(don’t remember the name) and my next drink was the«gentlemens» something. Both drinks were pretty damn sweet, but up to par from what I would get at a fancy bar in Manhattan. The whole place honestly had that hipsterish mixed with high end Manhattan vibe. The food also left me wanting not more… just better. My girlfriend and I decided to share 4 small plates as our dinner. We got the Mac n cheese which probably was the best dish. It’s made with risotto instead of macaroni… so smart. So delicious. Next we had the«bacon and egg» which was a generous slab of seared pork belly topped with an over medium egg. Egg was overcooked. The pork belly was rubbery and almost cold. Wasn’t very enjoyable to eat even though this was the meal I was most looking forward to. The sauce on that plate was delicious though. Next we shared the Asparagus fries. They seem to be very popular, I thought they were as basic as a dish gets and extremely greasy. Don’t get me wrong, I expect fried food to have some grease, but this was so packed with oil we literally shared one or two fries and left the rest. Finally we had the Thai crab cakes. These were pretty damn good I must admit, although nothing that blew me away. I guess my expectations were much higher for a place I heard so many good things about.

I really really like Swallow. I came here on the later side(9pm) on a Saturday with two friends and there was a long wait so we grabbed a drink at a nearby bar. But, Swallow is definitely worth the wait!!! For a busy restaurant, the wait staff was very attentive and accommodating. The food was so very fabulous! Asparagus fries are genius! The lemon aioli is a refreshing complement too. French onion soup sliders — my mouth is salivating just thinking about them. They were juicy, and cheesy and just like the soup but even better cause it was in burger form. The pulled pork tacos were also extremely tasty and flavorful(though a bit small). Usually, orders come in 2, but since we were a group of 3 they were willing to add an extra taco/slider to our order. I can’t wait to come back!

Something about the feeling you get in this place, just really makes your meal that much more enjoyable. I’m a sucker for that rustic wood feel and this place has just that. Top it off with some amazing food and great service and you’re sure to have a fantastic time. Came here with family and the 4 of us had a great time. We were early for our reservation and they seated us with no issues. It was a Sunday night and the restaurant was not full — we were there from around 6:30PM — 9:00PM and the restaurant was fairly quiet. Our food came fast and we were never rushed out and we spent an extra hour just sitting and chit chatting. We’re big eaters, so we got a total of 9 plates and left super full — mac and cheese, french onion sliders(x2), meatball parm, calamari, chicken tostada, pork buns, poutine and the skirt steak. Everything was so good, but the mac and cheese, skirt steak and pork buns were my absolute favorite. Top of the list was the mac and cheese. I would have ordered 3 or 4 more of these if I could. The fun surprise in this is that they use a risotto/orzo type pasta, not your typical elbow noodle and it was amazing. This fun twist really made it taste that much better. The skirt steak was a close second, being cooked to a perfect medium rare. We tried a good portion of the menu and everything was just as good as the last, which leads me to believe that you can’t go wrong with anything on this menu. Great service, super friendly and such a fun place to hang out and catch up. We had a great time here and had some delicious food. Typically tapas isn’t our thing, but we really loved this place and will definitely be back for sure!

I stopped into Swallow because of their happy hour sign. The bartender wasn’t making me happy, it was like pulling teeth. She didn’t give me a menu and just rattled off the beers on tap as well as the happy hour wines. I ordered a glass of Malbec and was sitting at the bar. I would have loved to see the cocktail list and a bar menu. When I asked the bartender for a menu, she wasn’t paying attention to me and kinda fluffed off my request. When the menu did come my way, the selections were contemporary. Swallow is in a great location in Huntington Village. I can’t wait to visit again.

Recently came in for a happy hour prior to a show at the Paramount and I have to say that I like this open to the street bar. Even better is the way the bartender made my old fashioned, which I requested to be made with Bulleit rye. I like this brand because it is made with 95% rye, which is higher than some others out there. I prefer rye in this drink because it has a «spicier» note, where regular bourbon can be a bit flat. The bartender had a bit of ritual in making this drink that I didn’t completely follow. It involved putting the sugarcube on a towel above the glass, but then I got distracted and missed what came next. I did NOT miss how good this drink tasted that’s for sure! With the quality bar selection and attention to detail when making cocktails I can presume the same thought and care is given to the food, which I hope to get a chance to try soon!

This place I highly recommend, the food was fantastic and for tapas I will say generous portions and the price reflects that. We tried a dozen tapas and our fan favorites were, beet salad, meatballs, lamb and pork belly. The décor was nicely done. Small place but man well worth it.

I love tapas-style restaurants because you can try a bunch of things(if you go with a big group) without going overboard. 4 of us came by We shared: Beet Salad Tuna tartare Crispy calamari Asparagus fries Chicken wings(So crispy and the pistachio on the crust was the perfect touch) Skirt steak Pork cheek taco Baby back ribs Mac and cheese(with the crispiest bacon pieces ever!) Baked Brie Crostini Flourless peanut butter chocolate cake Nutella Bread Pudding I also had the Lime Rickey(lime juice, simple syrup, and ginger beer) Overall everything was good. The presentation was lovely. The best: tuna tartar, calamari, asparagus fries, chicken wings, pork cheek taco The desserts were definitely not the star of the meal, but they were decent. A fun place to go with a group.
