This place sucks. Cancelled the Bill Burr show zero notice. Unprofessional. Had to drive to find out at the door.

This is a GREAT venue. Not perfect… there are flaws. But it is and intimate club that gets some great acts. There isn’t a bad seat in the house. The bar service in the reserved seats needs to be worked on. Surely they’ve heard of wireless credit card machines. In this day and age shouldn’t I be ordering drinks from my phone and paying on line? Watching the poor waitress climb up the stairs take an order… go get the order… bring the order back… now take the credit card… take the card down… bring the card back… I felt for the poor girl! Its a crazy system. All those extra trips make for a lot of distractions during the show! Then down at the bar it was so smart to separate the beer taps — NICESELECTION — from the main bar… but then I have to go to the main bar to use my credit card?! That’s nuts. This is a great place… they just have to get better at taking my money!

My first concert, with 3rd eye blind was amazing. The place was packed and some ppl were rude. We were on the main floor.

WOW. This place was awesome. Intimate, beautifully decorated and great view of the stage. We were lucky enough to check out the founders room before. We enjoyed some tapas and wine. The food was good, and the wine was great! Service was great too. If you get a chance to go to the founders room, do it! There are hidden rooms all over the restaurant, and the rooms had themes… I don’t want to spoil it, so check it out! My only complaint is that we had floor seats, and the seats were ridiculously small and close together. I was seated in between two very big guys(one being my husband) and I was very uncomfortable. Other than that, can’t wait to go back.

Ended up here last night to see Scott Weiland perform. Glad I did, because he died this morning(12÷04÷15). This was a surprisingly small turnout. However, it was a good show and he sounded on point. Was a nice flashback to my 90’s STP music memories. :-) I love that this place is close by. It’s nice to be able to see a show without taking 2 trains which cost as much as your ticket to go to a venue in the city.

Had a fantastic time at the Machinehead venue last night. Great acoustics & lighting. Stop by here for an intimate night out with your favorite band, artist, etc. Drinks, great, but… expensive. Glass(small) more like a cup…12.00 plus tip. 20 oz of Sierra Nevada, 13.00 That’s nothing, because everything else is recommended. Very clean, great location. Get there early… parking is limited & you’ll need to walk about 1 – 2 blocks, not that far. Enjoy, you’ll be glad you came here!

Member only area is EXTREMELY interesting. I may think about joining just to hang out at that area. It’s themed rooms are so fun to hang in. Their staffs seemed friendly and very inviting. definately a hidden gem in Nassau.

FINALLY came to The Paramount and it’s been a long time coming! I’m a pretty frequent concert goer so it was bound to happen at some point. Walked right in, got I.D. checked, received bracelet and went upstairs didn’t realize the venue was located on the second level. Really cool atmosphere to the place, and it is a more intimate venue. If you get seats there really aren’t any bad ones in the house unless you are directly behind the lighting guys because you can’t see sh*t when they stand up. Great lighting during the sets and the vocals were clear. I went to a metal(core)/hardcore show(Parkway Drive in case you’re wondering) and the bass was also turned up nicely so you could actually feel the music. Bathrooms were clean and they had a bathroom attendant inside. Two downfalls of this venue for the lack of a 5th star. Parking: sucky. Very hard to find parking in Huntington village once the lots fill up. Luckily I went on a weekday so it wasn’t too too bad. The Bar: Their drinks are honestly more expensive then the city! $ 9 for one can of budweiser. $ 5 for a cup of water(not a bottle) tap water. I didn’t even want to hear the prices for liquor. I left SO thirsty after the show because I refused to get a drink. So. parched. On the bright side whenever I have looked up shows the tickets have been cheap. $ 37(including that damn service fee) is pennies compared to what I pay at other venues. So have a few drinks next door before coming and boom good to go. Can’t wait to see someone else perform here.

I love coming here for concerts. The space big and open, there’s both a GA area and seating. You get a very intimate vibe here which makes the concert experience even better. I would give it 5-stars except that the drinks are SO expensive. $ 10 for an 8 oz. beer? Not even NYC bars charge prices like that. If they knocked it down to $ 8, I’d be more willing to buy 2 beers(which could then lead to three or four if I’m feeling it, haha) which I feel would be better for them in the long run. But what do I know about beer pricing?

Went to the«Anderson, Ponty Band: Better late than Never» concert at The Paramount last night in Huntington, Long Island. Jon Anderson’s voice still remains to this day as unique as ever-reminding me of his many years with the progressive group«Yes» and«Vangelis»! Jean Luc Ponty’s violin prowess was well demostrated! As well as the session band members that comprised: bass, lead guitar, keyboards and drums-all of which were extraordinary in their individual performances. The venue is medium-sized with above-average acoustics. I paid for orchestra seating on the left side. Which is the reason why I gave this venue 3 stars-the seats were tightly packed together and were the small, foldable type. I observed a number of guests that immediately pointed this out-one saying that they would never get orchestra seating again! And I would agree. Especially, when most of the audience is comprised of big, burly people it becomes obtrusive. Needless to say I will consider balcony seating next time!

Great venue for an intimate concert experience. Music performers from my past and present, up close and personal. Recent experiences included The Jackson’s and last week Classic Albums Live, Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon. Excellent cover of one of my all-time favorite discs. Direct eye contact with the extraordinary female vocalist on Great Gig in the Sky — chills!!! Never once wished I had a seat, floor is where it is at! If you are lucky to gain access to the Founder’s Room, well, let’s just say you are lucky! An opportunity to interact with band members in a causal speakeasy with a relaxed vibe. Having a quick last word with Jackie Jackson — priceless! Oh– just have to get mentally over the fact that not once has a band actually taken the stage at published showtime. Factor in 30 – 60 minutes of standing around or bellying up to the bar.

What keeps me coming back ?? Great music, plenty of floor space and affordable ticket prices in the heart of Huntington Village. We have seen some fantastic shows here… last night was the very talented Classic Albums LIVE Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. It happens to be my favorite album and they recreated it amazingly well… note for note. There are so many great bars and restaurants to choose from in the immediate area, allowing you to visit town early, enjoy a great show, hang out a bit after and never have to leave the block !!

A great venue for a show. Have seen several shows here. The venue offers several options for your viewing pleasure. Sound is good. From Steely Dan to Colbi Callet with the Go-GO’s and Bill(if the drink is lit, she won’t put up a fit) Cosby… The place is a great gem. Drinks are a little high. But what club is not. Lots of local bars/pubs/restaurants within walking distance. Tickets can be VERYHIGHLYPRICED. So pick and choose. I give it an all stars ahead for the overall package. Chef Jim

When Janes Addiction announced a show playing their 1989 album Nothing’s Shocking from start to finish, my friend bought tickets pre sale. Having lived in Long Island, I was prepped in the guido soulless suburban vacuum dynamic, but my friend was not. Doltish aged frat party boys provided a tacky splash to this beautiful space, which also serves food, and specializes in reunion shows of older bands. As the show began cups flung, space parted, and a fight broke out, killing the mood but prepping a night of rude shoves, sarcastic warm heckles«nice glasses handsome!» which increased as the drinking continued. Waiting outside for our Über, a jersey boy suddenly tapped my eccentric rugby hat while I was on my phone. «What’s up with the cap?» He intoned with a preface appropriate for a bar brawl. «Are you guys from here?» My friend attacked. «I’m from the city and you guys are like monkeys.», meaning any city with a modern cultural awareness. «I’m never coming back here.» She promised. «Never again!» «I can’t» While the venue and billings are quit good, be prepared for a cultural jolt of Bubbas and their blondes, with hot ambitions to be cast members for The Housewives of Long Island South Shore. The advertised free trolley service from Huntington station to the venue was not running on our visit, which was inconveniently not posted on the website or phone line. Coat check

This is a great modern venue to see a show — Lets do a rundown: Pros: — Large space with usually great views from where ever you are seeing a show — The large wall of windows that overlooks the street — how cool is that? — Large clean bathrooms. The attendant is probably a good idea here people at shows usually get a little«unruly» — Ever notice all the song lyrics written in interesting patterns on the stairway — cool! — Sounds and lighting is usually very good. Cons: — Drink prices tend to be high. Also noticed a couple of bartenders with pissy, indifferent attitudes — not cool. Just because you having a bad night don’t take it out on others trying to enjoy theirs! — Not enough seating or places to lean against in the GA space. They have a few bar tables on the side — could use more of these. Lack of seating leads to people sitting on the stairs. RANT Now i know the bands usually arrange the play times, but Paramount management should really give bands advice. For example, I just saw the English Beat(Thanks for the free tickets MusicGeeks — see my LiveNation review ;)) and they did not start the show until 11pm! 11pm, on a weeknight, on Long Island! You lost ¾ of your crowd with that alone! LI is an expensive place to live and most of us work in the morning combine that with your last album came out in 1982 putting the majority of your demographic in the 50+ zone = really not knowing your audience! I’ve been to a couple of shows here like that. Wouldn’t these bands rather play to a full room? Put your egos aside — we’re all getting older and have responsibilities. This isn’t our HS/College party days anymore! /RANT

This place rocks to see a show! It was my first time here tonight and we saw the Dropkick Murphys! The show was absolutely killer! BUT now onto the review! Okay so first off I love how this music venue is really for the music! When you get to the seating they have balcony seats but it’s not like other places I’ve been too. You really get a good view of the stage even when your seated against the wall. They have seats with airline style pretzels waiting for you! *Hooray for 4 mini pretzels in a bag!!* They have two really nice sized projector screens on both sides of the stage that are crystal clear if you don’t feel like being in the heart of all the drunk girls, sweaty guys, moshers and wishful crowd surfers(watch out for a converse to the nose.) Okay so now lemme give you a little once over of the«bars». You better come with a stuffed wallet for these exquisite selection of beers. LOL. But let’s be real now…$ 13 for a Stella? Nope! Now I did notice that there were a few places to get a drink which is nice, although the first one I stepped up to I had the choice of just 2 beers on tap. Yes. Just two. Okey dokey! Let’s skip that for now. After doing some exploring I found a spot that looked like that would change my luck seeing as it had much more a selection. I ask the bartender for a beer and she says I have to order from a waitress. Oh? They apparently have serving service if you sit in a seat at the balcony. So I wander around looking for a waitress and finally scored a beer! I can’t tell you how much of a punch to the gut it was to pay $ 8 for a PBR. Otherwise the staff were all very friendly and the space is really open and clean which I can totally appreciate. Bathrooms seemed kept up with & being a chick that’s a pretty big deal! I would totally recommend to check this place out if a band you like is playing! It local, big, clean and a super fun time!

The Paramount is an awesome venue! It’s really cool looking and just the right size. I saw Chevelle there and had general admission/standing tickets. I love being close to the stage. Next time I’m going to get seats just to spare my feet from hurting from standing for hours! Looks like there’s not a bad seat in the house. Bars on either side of the main show area and a third bar in the lobby section. Yes, drinks are a bit pricey but I don’t care bc I love that I can see amazing bands in a cool venue only minutes from home! The Founders Room is also beautiful and lots of fun, I won’t give away any details but it’s definitely worth visiting! Overall, I had a great experience at The Paramount and can’t wait to go back!

As another reviewer pointed out — I cannot believe that The Paramount doesn’t have more stars! I have been to the paramount multiple times now. I’ve sat in general admission and also off to the side on the balcony. There is NOT a bad seat in the house. From general admission you can stand in the back and see everything!(And I am pretty short, so I usually can’t see a damn thing unless I’m begging my husband to pick me up). The cocktails are a little pricey, but what do you expect it’s a concert venue. If you sit upstairs, there is a cocktail waitress assigned to you which is great. My only qualm: I wish they got more shows I wanted to see, if they did I’d be here monthly! Great place, check it out :)

Last night I had the opportunity to catch«Ace Frehely» at The Paramount in Huntington, Long Island. The Paramount Long Island should not be confused with a similar one in NYC. The Paramount is a top tier music venue with awesome sound and good sights. The wife and I had general admission tickets. The floor space was spacious with plenty of elbow room. The sights where decent and not a bad view anywhere. The overall sound quality was good on this night. The Paramount is an easy facility to get to with plenty of street parking. Never had a wait for a drink with 3 good size bars. Now draft beers were good, but at $ 12 a pop for a 14⁄16 oz beer, little out of whacked for Long Island. Clean bathrooms and a safe environment made for an enjoyable evening. Thank you Drew and Unilocal for tickets. While I am a Kiss and Ace fan form years ago, I must state that The Paramount is a good facility for this part of Long Island. Getting free tickets did not influence my review. Ace my man you are a member of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Ace you are one of the 25 best guitarist of all time. Ace walking on stage in leather pants at 63 years of age… comm’on man. There is a time and place for everything and your time has pass for tight leather pants. Ace you can still lick some mean cords, but the backup band that is half your age did not meet your skill level. The guys jumping up and down like 1976 is long gone. All you have to do is walk on stage and do your thing. Ace you still have the skills to play and you certainly showed them with«Love Gun» and«New York Groove». Overall, The Paramount is a cool place to catch a show. While the big boys may not play here, there is enough good music and acts to play this 2500 or so facility. I will certainly keep an eye open for future shows.
