What a disaster from the get go. We had stopped in here before an evening on the town, assuming since its burgers, it would be a quick meal. Not so much. The staff seemed preoccupied and overwhelmed with work for the amount of patrons inside. After we were served are initial drinks of beer and wine(no liquor on the premises) we put in our orders of a few hyped up burgers. From the time we were all clearly done with our beverages it took 25 minutes for us to even be noticed, and that was only because our food was ready. $ 16 plus tax for a burger. For this price you’d expect a nice sized burger with a side. Again, not so much. The burger patty was about size of a cheeseburger you’d get for $ 1 and change at McDonalds. It was overcooked, way over seasoned and disappointingly dry. I can’t comment on the side, as they wanted an extra few dollars and I opted out. Some ketchup might have improved the flavor of the burger, but they wasn’t offered to us either. All we received was utensils when I was already nearly done eating. Not once were we asked how our food was, as the waiter was preoccupied checking himself out on the mirror lined wall. $ 60 for two sad burgers and 3 beers total. An experience that realistically should’ve taken a half hour, but wound up being an hour of looking around for the nonexistent staff and being left thirsty and let down. Save your money.

Wow, just finished one of the worst meals I have eaten in a very long time. I would have been better off at BK and saved $ 60. We were driving to another restaurant for dinner and noticed the Craft Burger sign on Ariana’s. I assumed that it was a new place. I was a bit confused when we walked in — the same Ariana’s menus? I asked the waiter and he said they were both Afghani and craft burger and beer. Hm, that’s an odd combo. I should have followed my gut(not the growling one), but the one telling me to scram. The place was empty, especially for a Saturday night at 8. We ordered the«Black Angus» burgers and sides of fries and mac and cheese. The burgers were not good at all. I wasn’t a fan, but could deal with the spices — but the meat in both of our burgers were full of grizzle and pieces of bone. The steak fries were ok, but not fresh. The mac and cheese looked and tasted exactly like Kraft! When the waiter saw that I hadn’t eaten my burger he asked if it was ok. I politely told him that the texture of the meat was not good and showed him the pieces of bone on my plate. He offered me an Organic patty to taste and I said no thank you. I don’t mind paying for a good meal but I almost fell off of my chair when the bill came, $ 68.51 before tip — 2 burgers, 2 sides, 2 glasses of wine. No offer to comp anything or any part of bill. There are plenty of other really good burger joints in the area if that’s what your looking for.

Craft burger/Ariana is delicious! It was the perfect place for my husband and I to go to. He got his classic cheeseburger which he thoroughly enjoyed while I was dying for middle eastern food. The lamb and spinach dish was perfect and exactly what I was in the mood for. Staff were ever present and friendly. Even the diners at the next table were friendly and we all had a good chat. Definitely recommend and I’m definitely going back!

Pretty good. I enjoyed the assortment of food they had available. I’m a burger and fries kind of guy, my fiancé is a bit more sophisticated and more likely to go for the afghani entrees, and her mother is a vegetarian. The menu does a good job at catering to all of these demographics. The quality of the black angus was superb. The coconut shrimp burger that we got was simply coconut shrimp between two pieces of bread. While the shrimp was good, it was certainly not a «craft burger» as advertised and left much to be desired. The staff was rushing us a bit. Grabbing at plates while we were still picking at things. Water boy came off a bit sarcastic and condescending.

As a resident of Huntington I have been to Ariana a few times and enjoyed vegetarian food, even though I am a carnivore. But as I jogged past today I noticed a new sign that said ‘Craft Burger’ and decided to have lunch there. My son and I were warmly greeted by the owner and treated to a complimentary pita and eggplant spread which was delicious. Our Burgers came out quickly and were cooked perfectly, as were the sweet potato french fries. The burger, while not the best ever, was very flavorful and we ate the whole thing. Highly recommended!

I wish I could give this place zero stars. Worst service ever. Waitress very rude and clearly miserable. Food was awful. I rarely write reviews but this experience is so awful it makes me upset.

I should have checked the reviews first. The décor & server were very nice but unfortunately the food was awful. The fries were ok, same as the frozen I make at home(what can be wrong with fries?). Burger was similar to a meatloaf-mix of different meats & spices. It’s fine for a meatloaf and you don’t want the burger described on menu. I can say the humus and eggplant was good but extremely small portions. Considering the prices and overall quality, a big disappointment. Too many options in Huntington for this, will remember to check reviews first.

This restaurant will not last. The food is incredibly sub par and ridiculously overpriced. The staff was nice but inexperienced. Wouldn’t recommend at all

What a shame… We’ve lived in Huntington for about 15 years after leaving NYC and dine almost exclusively in the fantastic local restaurants. Unfortunately Ariana is not one of them and, frankly, I am shocked that they are still open for business. I guess that is why we do not know any local people who have eaten at Ariana. At first glance, the menu items were interesting. Also the décor was warm and inviting and the music seemed authentic as well. If the place was managed and run like a restaurant rather than a snack bar on a ferry boat perhaps it could improve. It’s as if these people decided to open a restaurant with zero experience and refused to even skim the«Opening a Restaurant for Idiots» book. The waiters, bus staff and bartender seemed as though they were filling in for real restaurant workers. They had no knowledge of the menu or the few wines that they carried. They displayed about 12 beers but only had 3 for consumption. The bartender was actively drinking behind the bar. The food was mediocre and bland and all came out lukewarm. Four of us were brave enough to send our items back for a zap in the microwave. I ordered the Curried Chicken and the microwave top off made it so chewy that I was almost able to blow bubbles! If it weren’t for the $ 20-$ 24 price for the entries, it might have been comical. At some point Ariana decided to add«Craft Burgers» to their menu; this is kind of like the burger or fried chicken offering at some inner city Chinese take out establishments. We would consider a return visit after the«Under New Management» sign is visible…

My family and I decided to try this place the other day after a walk. The Afghan restaurant serving craft beer and burgers… Unfortunately we didn’t have the best experience. The turkey burgers were supposed to have avocado on them and they did not. the burgers really weren’t all that good either. Red Robins are better. The milk shakes were more like chocolate milks with chunks of crushed ice. and there were hardly any beers available there to order. Someone at my table asked the owner for a stout and he wasn’t sure what a stout was. Another person at my table asked the waiter(who was bringing out one plate. slowly after another) to bring her another beer and he said he would after he brought the entrees lol. The hummus, pita and falafel really were delicious.. But all in all this place was way overpriced and lacking.

This restaurant has a new part owner. Changes include a new bar area and a «craft burger» menu. No thank you. I didn’t come to an afghan restaurant for a cheeseburger. The new partner owner was rude, abrasive, and very unprofessional. He literally threw my dinner plate in front of me. He was shouting at costumes coming into the restaurant to sit down at the bar. He seemed very confused and flustered. He kept explaining that he should have hired more service staff. My food was not hot. I used to enjoy this place a lot more before this new partner got involved.

This is my favorite Afghani cuisine in the area. What I particularly like about Ariana restaurant is that it’s vegetarian and vegan friendly. The décor here is incredible. Hands down, this restaurant has the best atmosphere in Huntington Village. The pillows are really nice and the ambient music is very cultural without fear. The lady of the establishment is very nice and charming. I’ve been here before, but tonight, I had Portabello mushroom with pomegranate sauce. Normally I don’t even like mushroom, but I tried it anyway so I wouldn’t become a creature of habit. It is quite delicious. I don’t encounter so many things with such *zing* but this hit the spot! The only downside is it is a little expensive compared to other restaurants in the area, but I think it’s worth it. The portions aren’t huge compared to other places but I don’t want to get fat anyway. Quality over quality. Fit over fat! I highly recommend Ariana.

Horrible-Horrible-horrible. Rudest owner I have ever encountered, she refused to take off s shrimp kebab that was over cooked and over salted to the point of being inedible, ordered tea at the start that never came and a vegetarian app that came with meat that she insisted was«no meat», the replacement never made it out of the kitchen until we were disputing the entrée… the vegan appetizer for two came with 3 smears of dip and 4 tiny pita squares. Looked like what was leftover after being previously consumed. The owner is a rude and nasty woman, the food is horrible and overpriced. I should have walked out without paying… Don’t go here … And btw. I have never written a review, never complained. But this place is a disaster from start to end…

If I can give them 0 stars I will. If you know real Afghani food then this place only exist to ROB you. The portion was only baby can get filled up with and server kept on disappearing guess was cooking food in back. Asked for Lentil soup and brought water with tasteless vegetable floating in it and had nerve to ask me oh did you like your soup lol. Don’t ever go there or you’ll regret it.

The host and restaurant décor was perfectly fine. But the food was extremely over price and not worth it. Paid $ 22 for Curry chicken breast dish that was dreadfully pitiful, and that was based on the host recommendations. It was nothing more than a couple slices of dried chicken with a small portion of rice and veggies. And my wife had the Mantoo, which wasn’t anything special at $ 20. Flavors and and taste were completely off. Felt like eating leftover dinner. Made me regret passing the House of Indian across the street.

I’ve used to be a regular customer at this restaurant. My wife and I like the food and the funky décor. We stopped eating at Ariana due to the service. The waitress is not very polite and gave me a hard time when I asked her to honor the early dinner menu posted in the window. If the staff were more courteous, I would I’d eat there again.

It may have risen to 3 stars if our waitress would have admitted to knowing nothing about the restaurant or it’s menu. As it was, everything she told us was completely wrong. The owner did correct the waitresses mistakes, but only came to our table when we asked for her. Our food was poorly described and tasted like it had been reheated more than once. I ordered the lamb with spinach and it just wasn’t good. In fact, it was poor with some cold and dry pieces of meat. My wife ordered the rack of lamb and that was actually strange. The chops were cooked rare but served cool.(Maybe our very poor waitress just forgot to serve us after the kitchen had cooked them.) Prices are higher than they should be for this kind of meal — the rack of lamb was $ 28 and in reality was a half rack — 4 small chops. The room looks shabby and threadbare — in need of a redo. There are just too many other and better choices out there in restaurant land. Arianna is one that doesn’t make the cut.

i purchased a Living Huntington coupon for $ 25, good for $ 50. The discount was only good for a limited period of time but the coupon expressly stated that the face value paid($ 25) never expires. Ariana refused to honor the $ 25 because they said they stopped participating in that program. Incredibly afterwards when i went to their website it gives you a $ 25 coupon to use! They wouldn’t honor the $ 25 i paid but anyone can get a $ 25 coupon. Not right

I was not remotely impressed. I would give this place one star but my boyfriend didn’t dislike it as much as I did. Maybe that’s because he’s never had Afghani food before. The atmosphere is nice. Cozy. But the food was not good. They serve wine and beer. We ordered a Shiraz carafe which was pretty good and gave us at least five glasses of wine. They give you a plate of pita, hummus and babaganush to start on the house. Bf and I both liked that. When he asked for more they said they would have to charge. I don’t mind that but I want what I’m paying for, and in my experience, this place is overpriced for the food and portions. I ordered lamb kebab which comes with rice pilaf, veggies and salad. The rice is just white basmati rice and there were like five or six small pieces of kebabs. Did I né tiNo veggies as advertised. The Kebobs were dry and small. When I asked for the salad, the waitress(I think she was the owner) said if I wanted a different salad then house she would have to charge extra. I had no problem with that and I ordered the tabouli salad-but it was awful-a soggy heap of greens with lemon juice. That’s it. Bf’s mom had beef Kebob and same story. Bf had mantoo. I never tried that before so I can’t comment. Some kind of beef dumplings served with tomato sauce. He liked it and the portions were decent. But still felt it was way overpriced. I wouldn’t recommend this place. If you want afghani food and Kebobs-go to Hicksville or queens. Stay away from this Restaurant.
