This place not close, but new and bigger menu coming on ⁶⁄₁₈ that include Hot Dogs, Burgers, Pastrami, BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Salads, Grilled Chicken, Burrito, Taco, and all Mexican food, and more

Looks like it already gave up. Drove by today and s LA BONANZA has replaced it. This a shame.

Stopped by this evening and gave them a try. Food was excellent and service was perfect. Very nice owner too! We had a Chicago Dog, Chili cheese dog, cheese burger and pulled pork sandwich. Both the dogs were perfectly done and very tasty. The burger and pulled pork were juicy and nicely done. This is on the return list for sure. Owner mentioned they are expanding business hours to 7 days a week and later hours in a few weeks. Also menu will be expanded. Pricing is VERY reasonable too. Great place if you have a family and wanting take out.

I ate here for the first time tonight. The owner was super friendly and attentive and the food was delicious! I have been wanting to try this place for a long time but always end up coming at off hours so I was excited to hear that they will be opening up on weekends soon! I will definitely be back!

Came here today for the first time and I can honestly say this is one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while
The owner I believe has great customer service and you can tell he really cares for his customers

This is the kind of place that just checks all the boxes for me. Hot dogs? Check. Cincinnati style chili? Check. Tator Tots? Check. Custom sauces? Check.
Seriously, this place is everything I love, and I would eat here literally every day (and die in about a month from congestive heart failure) if it was closer to me (and my wife would let me).
They specialize in regional hot dogs. So I can try a Boston style or Detroit without going east of the Mississippi. I got the Cincinnati dog, I’d never heard of honey mustard on a chili dog, but that just screams my name. Got the tots with their house dipping sauce. It was just perfect. Better than Dog Haus, better than Linx, it was just amazing.
There’s a few reviews that say ‘eh, nothing special’ and I say those people don’t know jack about hot dogs. This is the first joint I’ve ever been to that does what they’re doing, and they are the best chili dog chili I’ve ever had, at least since I was in Ohio last.
Seriously, they’re completely legit, go get some.

I’ve been coming here with my family for about 8 months now. The previous owner was sweet and the new owners are just as sweet ! Cute little family restaurant. And the food is AMAZING.
Come Thursday nights it’s spaghetti night !
Seriously taste all the fresh ingredients put into it. Just thinking about it makes me wish it’s Thursday!

Been going there since they opened… If your lucky enough to catch them open… They served hoffy dogs which were AWESOME. Just made my last stop there though. No more hoffy dogs. Kinda false advertising. Paid 7 $ for a hot dog I coulda got at 7 – 11 for 2 $. To bad, the owner had something. Maybe if he was open on the weekend and took his business seriously he would make enough money to serve the products he advertised.
Sorry but I don’t like getting ripped off, not ever going back!

This was the first time I had ever been to Slater Hog N dogs. I got the pulled pork combo with onion rings. It was DELICIOUS!
I have recommended this place to many people since eating there the other night! I will most definitely be back in the near future.
The new owner has done a wonderful job remodeling this place. It is very clean and fresh.

I stopped by here the other day for the first time, and I really was impressed! I had the Memphis dog, which is bacon wrapped topped with BBQ sauce, house made coleslaw and onion rings. The BBQ sauce was so good! I couldn’t get enough of it. All of their other food looked and smelled so good, I can’t wait to come back and try more!
Not only was the food delicious, but they had excellent service. The guys working behind the counter were extremely helpful and patient, as I tried to decide what to order right before they were closing!
If you’re looking for some great dogs, sausages and pulled pork, from a clean restaurant with great service, I highly recommend this place. I’ll definitely be back! The only thing I would change is to be open on Saturday-it’s definitely a spot I’d bring my friends and grab a good lunch on the weekend!

Really good hot dogs. Got a kraut dog and was really happy with it. The kraut was good and not right out of a simmer pot that always makes the bun mushy.
The fries are good and the 1000 sauce is excellent.
It would get 5 stars of it was open on the weekends as we are not usually around for lunch during the week.

This place is great. One of the best chili dogs I’ve ever had. Also the service was great the young man working there was very polite and helpful with someone who didn’t know what he wants. My only complaint is the ketchup packets. FIRST STREET?! Gotta go Heinz man!
All and all great experience, for sure going back? 5stars!

Stopped by here for lunch today because we had a craving for something different and unique. This place totally fit the bill. The burgers and hot dogs are made with best quality meat and taste fantastic! Super creative menu and super friendly staff we will definitely be back soon

Had three different kinds of hot dogs had the HB dog, LA Street dog and a Memphis dog all were excellent good price for what you get had the chili is well really good looking forward to having a Coney Island chili dog highly recommended. Only additional thought his photographs of all the dogs and food would probably help sell more.

So I was driving around and got super hungry and realized I wanted a good charbroiled burger. I decided to try this place again and hoped it would redeem itself. Well, if your wondering… it totally did. The burger was perfectly cooked on a potato bun, with all the fixings. The onion rings were probably some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Slightly salty but, crunchy, battered perfectly and not soaking in excess oil. So good that they didn’t need any type of sauce to douse them in. All in all, I was very happy!

After being away from the neighborhood for several years, came back and decided to swing by an old favorite place, Bun N Burger, only to see that it was gone. Decided to try the new place, and was very glad that I did. I had a green chili cheeseburger off the specials board — very nice grilled beef flavor, fresh toppings, nice bun. And the fries were very crispy — excellent. The small seating area is a bit nicer than it was previously and the outdoor area is larger. The menu looks great, with lots of dog choices as well as burgers and a few other sandwiches. This is definitely a great mom and pop type place worth checking out.

Just recently opened. Small hot dog stand. Few tables inside and tables outside. Fast service. Awesome hot dogs. Owner uses Hoffy beef dogs they snap when you bite into them. In speaking to the owner they make their own sauce, smoke their own pork, etc. Must go and try. We are very picky about our hot dogs and this place made an impression on us. Definitely will go back.

I came here the other day out of curiously and I’m so glad I did ! I had a Chicago dog and a root beer float and they were both so yummy! The owner personally delivered us our floats and brought over a stack of napkins. I loved the cute rustic feel they have on the inside, it really enhances the experience ! My Chicago dog was devious, the hot dog itself was the most flavorful I’ve had in a long time! My friend ordered the beer battered onion rings and they were fall apart flakey fried deliciousness! She said the burgers are amazingly fresh too! We will be back for such great quality food and a fun atmosphere, at a great price!

Nice little place to grab some tasty hot dogs, sandwiches and burgers. Located in a small strip mall in the former Bun and Burger spot. They really did a nice job renovating the old, outdated building. My family and I ordered outside and sat in the small country-​bbq styled dining area indoors.
Albuquerque Dog was great! The hot dog was juicy and had a nice snap biting into it. It’s topped with chili, jalapeños, grilled onions and a tasty creamy chipotle sauce.
Pulled Pork Sandwich came piled high with their tasty meat, onions and pickles. Very high quality meat and good sized sandwich.
Cubano was comprised of pulled pork, ham, Swiss cheese, mustard and pickles on a pressed roll. This was highly tasty and delicious.
Brat came with a large, juicy, bratwurst topped with spicy mustard and sauerkraut on a roll. Very traditional.
I thought all of the food was high quality and delicious. The only draw backs were that the sign says they are open Mon-​Fri 11 – 7 and maybe Saturday, then there is another small paper sign posted that they close at 5pm. Kinda of confusing and hit or miss hours. Also, the indoor dining area could use some a/​c, probably would have been better to eat outside.

Not a great first impression for this newly opened business. They took over the building from a really good neighborhood pastrami and burger shack.
The name is Slater’s but certainly does not seem affiliated with the über-​awesome designer burger place of the same name. The remodel of the place was not extensive but it’s certainly cleaner than it was before. Same confusing concept as before where you order outside and eat inside. I guess you can order from inside but there are no signs or menu boards except for outside. The help was very sweet and attentive but really inexperienced with the menu and prices.
The Chicago dog I tried was 3-​star worthy. Good toppings and taste but nothing special. Pricey at over $ 4. The pulled pork sandwich was pretty tasty as well but I was not blown away. Nothing really unique there either. Decent bun and tasty sauce with a good hunk of quality meat. 4-​stars there.
Not sure if I’ll be a regular here but I hope they do well.
