This is a very good burger joint in the middle of nowhere. The Angus burger is mouth watering, and the fries crisp and soft and cooked in fresh oil. A+++++ My lady had the grilled chicken burger and it was quite tasty too. The chicken had lots of flavor. I’ll definitely be coming back here. Worker there was very courteous and pleasantful which made this first visit even better.

Very nice, cozy burger joint by 7 eleven on Warner and newland. Seems like a local hotspot for workers and businessmen alike. I entered at 1:30 to find a few people and one employee to help us. He was fast and helpful taking his time to help us decide what we wanted. The food came out in reasonable time, this isn’t a true fast food restaurant. The burgers are good, the fries are very good and the shakes are fantastic! A bit pricey but absolutely worth it, I got a great pineapple shake and would absolutely return!

I have lived in HB for over a decade but have never tried this place. While heading to the $ 5 car wash across the street, I finally decided to check it out. It’s a real dive in a dive strip mall, but the reviews were mostly positive so I ventured in. About 8 tables inside this surprisingly spacious building, but you can also order from the window outside. I have been inundated with burgers and burritos this week, so I opted for the pastrami. Not a huge sandwich but excellent meat and well prepared. The bun was a little iffy but it held up. The fries were perfect… big and fat and not undercooked. The burgers look good and they also have breakfast burritos. Cool little dive.

I’ve eaten here a few times and really like it. It’s your typical burger place, nothing fancy, but the prices good, the service is great and they definitely cook to order. The owner stayed late one night waiting for me(on the phone outside) not realizing they were closed. I felt awful but he was really friendly about it and for that, and the burgers, I continue to go back.

I love this place! This place is not a gourmet burger joint, it’s just a throwback to the old burger stands from when I was a kid.

I’ve been intrigued and charmed by the rusty-retro Bun & Burger sign for a long time, and today I decided to give this burger place a try. I had the special French fries and cheese burger. The place has a classic feel. As much as I wanted to like this place but, there was not enough to the burger or fries to makes it stand out from the ordinary. I wouldn’t bring my friends here for a great tasting burger, but they have good service. They do have customers, so maybe it’s a place you may want to try if you are in the area. Thanks for reading my review. Hopefully you will be able to make a wise decision.

We ate here and ordered the following: Double chhese burger with jalapeños, bacon and avacado Chili cheese fries Zuchinni Strawberry Malt Total:$ 16.90 This place had amazing tasting burger with all of the extras that you want to add on an in n out burger. The malt was the best, since they actually add the malt to your shake.(Trust me there is a difference in taste and consistancy between the two) The chili cheese fries looked like they came from my kitchen with chili with whole bean and ground beef. The zuchinni were hand breaded and none of the fried food had really any greasy residue. This is a best hidden gem and really great small business in HB

Been eating here for over 25 years. The food is good but there are better burger places. The burgers are ok but are lacking in meat, could have a thicker patty. Fries are ok… All in all this place is ok. If I was close or wanted to reminisce about old times, I would eat here but I wouldnt go out of my way like I would with other«greasy spoons»… With that said, the food isnt bad, its just not the greatest.

A Clean, fast, & delicious menu with a wide array of selection. This is a classic mom & pop American burger joint with a price suited for everyone. I came hungry, left full and still had money for dessert. Bun and burger is a small restaurant with big taste, I would definitely come back, this is a great option for anyone opposed to investing the giant burger chain corporations for lunch.

I’ve had this place bookmarked forever, and when we dropped our truck off down the street for new tires, it seemed like it would be just the place to kill some time, and get our lunch at the same time. The burger was weak, the fries were limp, and the onion rings were straight out of a brown paper bag. There was just nothing exciting here. In addition, and this is just my personal preference, not everyone cares to listen to «The Fish» while having a meal.

Well priced delicious burgers. The owner is very nice and they offer a loyalty program. The shakes are great and you can never go wrong with the chili cheese fries!

Bun & Burger emanates a classic, friendly atmosphere, but unfortunately, their food doesn’t impress a burger-enthusiast like myself. —The Food— O– Ring Bacon Cheeseburger($ 4.00) — From the appearance alone, you would think this to be a standard cheeseburger that could be on par with in-n-out. It’s a pretty good sized burger accompanied with a sesame bun, well cooked bacon, and a big onion ring that adds that crunchy texture with every bite, but where this burger fails is the patty. It’s stated to be charbroiled, but it lacked the normal sear and flavor I’ve come to recognize from charbroiled burgers. It also lacked thickness and seasoning; the burger was bland to the point where it ended up tasting more bun than meat. Thank goodness for that bacon. Furthermore, the patty had a convex shape to it, similar to a contact lens, which is really unappetizing to me. Yes, i inspect my food and end up playing with it if I begin to wonder: «Why does this taste so weird?» Chili Cheeseburger($ 3.50) — I gave Bun & Burger a second visit because i refused to believe this place handed out bad tasting burgers; an establishment that’s been around since the 1960’s has to do something right, i thought. After taking a few bites of the chili cheeseburger, i began to think: «man, i don’t think they do anything right.» The chili was watery and didn’t hold together well. It didn’t have the same texture or taste I’d want from my chili and I’m not picky when it comes to that either. I generally think all chili places should aim for something like weinerschitzel’s, so that should tell you how low my standards are for chili! Bun & burgers’ uninspiring chili and patty make an underwhelming burger combination. Fries($ 1.99) — Typical fries that seem to come from a frozen bag. — — - Verdict: At the beginning of this review, I wrote the word«unfortunately» because I love old fashion restaurants… I really wanted to like this place. But for the price of the burger, I’d rather direct you and myself to In-N-Out. The search for the best burger in OC continues… Extra Notes: –Accepts credit card, but there’s a dollar charge –Very friendly service –Has an old school feel to this restaurant, from the building to the tables –Restroom available

Inexpensive pricing. Friendly staff. Quick service(they brought the food to us). Clean kitchen(from what I could see at the front counter) the tables are wiped off and clean as well as the floors. They have a pretty simple menu with some healthy variations. I ordered a garden burger and my dad ordered a cheeseburger. The garden burger was delicious. They don’t have wheat buns as an option, only white. So that was my ONLY let down. As for the cheeseburger the meat was yummy and juicy but the pattys are rather thin. Which happens to be the only criticism from my dad. I would recommend Bun & Burger to many others!
