So so. If you’re from Jersey or New York and you want a «taste of home» diners, come here. Really, could have given it more stars but I don’t find it anything over the top. Husband had an interesting spinach skillet. Oh, and contrary to what others have said, Hailey was very helpful and knew her job quite well.

Woody’s Diner is exactly what a diner should be. This is a great neighborhood hang out for many people around here. People celebrate birthdays, important events, even the unfortunate passing of staff that worked here. If you have come here even monthly the past two years you probably feel pretty at home. Many weeks this is our second kitchen and we feel right at home. If there’s ever an issue with the food(because I don’t think you’ll ever have one with the staff) those waiting on you never hesitate to make it right. This place is such a staple here the Huntington Beach police department often eat here on a regular basis. Thank you Woody’s for all the good, diner food.

This place makes my stomach hurt the food is horrible, the bathrooms are gross, and the employees don’t wash their hands.

Had an amazing breakfast meal. Been here a more than a few times and I found my favorite thing to order. Country fried steak with super spud hash browns and biscuits and gravy. Amazing!

Great food and service. Open seating, relaxed environment. Try the ABC omelette. You get a healthy portion of food and very fresh ingredients.

Uhmmm… Well. There was no wow factor but it is a diner for a good price… You get what you pay for. Didn’t like the bacon cheese fries. Threw me off with the pinto beans… It wasn’t chili. It was bland. My patty melt was too greasy. However my daughter loved her French toast so that’s a plus. My suggestion to everyone is go for the breakfast if your going to come here. Sorry guys but you get 2 stars from me.

Loved this place! The menu is not groundbreaking. standard american food. The service is awesome! The food is very good! The old jukebox at every table is pretty cool too! The place has a 50’s/60’s california beach theme. Great food and great service!

So I’ve been coming to this location for years. I’ve always had great service and the food was always great. However, tonight was a different story. I ordered a club sandwich with no ham and asked to substitute the bacon for turkey bacon since I cannot consume pork for dietary reasons. I also asked to have beer battered fries. My friend ordered a tuna melt with onion rings and a shake. Food comes out promptly but the fries and onion rings are missing. I give the waiter a few minutes to see if she will bring them. Nothing at all. I wave her down and ask if onion rings and beer battered fries were on their way. She apologized and said, «They will be right out.» She brings over a basket of onion rings and regular fries. Although I wanted beer battered fries, it’s not that big of a deal. Anyway, I go to take a bite out of my sandwich and I notice that it’s regular bacon. I this point, I don’t want to gave to wait for turkey bacon so I just pull it off my sandwich. My friend takes a sip of her shake and says it tastes weird. I grab a spoon to taste it, and it tastes like burnt plastic. I was not happy with the service tonight and it appears there are several new employees so I’m not sure if I’ll be returning for a while which is a complete shame.

Great food old school dinner atmosphere with a local surfer feel. Waitresses are always friendly food very tasteful and kids get a cool pink Cadillac or 57 Chevy with their meal. Can’t wait till my grand daughter is old enough to enjoy this with us.

Worst place ever with the worst servers!!! Hailey who had the pleasure to serve our table!(Sarcasm)(It’s a Sunday around noon, the diner wasn’t busy half the place was empty) Hailey managed to mess up everyone’s order.(4 ladies) #1 I asked for cheese on the side of course my hash browns have cheese on it, I find an eyelash in my coffee and I had to go up to Hailey for condiments #2 asked for sourdough bread for her sandwich but they have her white bread #3 asked for flour tortillas they gave her corn tortillas, her potatoes weren’t cooked #4 forgot her toast twice, gave her fries when she wanted potatoes but then the potatoes weren’t also cooked Since Hailey wouldn’t check up on us. I had to go up to the counter serval times to ask for condiments or let her know she messed up the orders. While were still eating this other serve just came and took the syrup away without even asking if I wasn’t using it anymore I still had 2 French toast left. Who does that I was so angry I just wanted to leave and regretted picking this location. I’ve gone to the one in Newport great service but this is by far one of the worst places I’ve eaten. With the worst servers try apologizing Hailey when you f%*k up everyone’s order and bring condiments its common sense! My best friend who was sitting in front of me was a server for many years and she would ALWAYS apologize if she ever forgot something. A apology goes a long way Hailey and wouldn’t effect your tip

Great for breakfast, always courteous servers and fast service. There is the $ 5.99 breakfast to consider, plus other choices. My wife and I have been here a few times and we’ll be back.

I used to live in HB but now return as a visitor. I don’t think I’ve ever been back to the area and not gone to Woody’s for breakfast. Always good service. Great menu with lots of choices. I typically get an omelet with toast and sliced tomatoes. One thing that makes this place unique is you have a jukebox at every table. A quarter gets you 2 songs… All from the 60’s. Kinda fun. As once said in my favorite sitcom(I think Jerry tried to get back his autographed photo that he wrote thus on), there’s nothing fined than eating at this diner.

Had a large Greek salad. Not worth the price. I thought it was the small salad. The service was fast though and didn’t wait long.

This is my 5 or 6th visit and every time I have come over the last 2 – 3 years I have met the same friendly attitude from the waitresses, the same quality tasting food, and most importantly the welcoming-classic vibe the themed establishment provides. The seasonal pumpkin spice shake is liquid gold. Just what I would hope. The beer battered fries are better than any elsewhere — Johnny Rockets or In-n-outs. I enjoy the burgers and my girlfriend loves the sandwiches! If you’re looking for some 50s flavor then this is the place!

I will never come back here again. Its always busy so I figured it was great. Nope. Fries aren’t fully cooked and the chilli is non-existent. If you’re going to charge me $ 9.16 for chilli cheese bacon fries at least make it worth my money. Measly portion for the charge. At least use a gun next time you rob someone. I’d return these for a refund if I wasn’t stuck at work. Smdh.

A decent burger joint. When my cousin and I drove up I realized that I had been here years ago. My cousin M ordered a regular burger, $ 4.99. She said it was just fine. She also added on a small order of Onion Rings, $ 2.69. They were a bit over cooked but M still managed to eat almost all of them. I ordered the Olé Burger, $ 5.79. It was very good. Juicy, flavorful. Totally worth $ 5.79. I also added on some potato salad, $ 2.29. Nice stuff. Not the best but far, far from the worst I’ve ever had. For drinks, M got water and I got a soda, $ 1.99. The entire bill before tip was under $ 20. Nice. The next time I’m in Huntington Beach, I’ll stop by Woody’s again. I’ll bring my son C. He’ll love the place. Good food, good prices, overcooked onion rings. 3 Stars.

Came here to eat by myself. I’ve seen this place many times driving to La Fitness across the street. It’s a simple diner and no one was inside except me. I was quickly greeted. I looked through the menu and chose the pastrami burger with beer battered fries. The burger was made pretty fresh. The star of the show was the beer battered fries. It tastes like a hybrid of fries and seasoned curly fries. A nice crispy texture. The service was on point with the waitress being very attentive. Recommendation: Beer battered fries
