Great service, great food and friendly staff. Jen the manager is a sweetheart. Sydney is fantastic too! (She handles my «to go» orders.)
I definitely recommend eating here. The chicken tortilla soup is always a delight. My husband loves the Mavericks burger (BBQ Sauce, island reds, american cheese, lettuce, tomato pickles and mayo).
On my next visit, I plan on trying the Kilavea burger, It has jalapeños and chipotle aioli!

I haven’t been to Islands for a long time because, honestly, the food just didn’t thrill me… consider me a changed woman. Came here to the location at Hell-​a Terra with friends before we hit a movie. There were people waiting outside, but we walked in and found a quiet spot at the bar. The staff at the bar was terrific, and as a team they made sure we had everything we needed.
I ordered the Island Burger with cheese, and another friend got the tuna sandwich (honestly, I don’t know what my other friend got, cuz once the food got there, I was in it to win it!). Both of the sandwiches came with fries that were wonderful (maybe a little too much salt), but cooked just right and not mushy (I hate mushy fries). My burger was perfection. Well cooked, juicy and tasty. The burger came with mustard (instead of 1000 Isle dressing), lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes, with a wheat bun. It was so juicy and messy that I needed several napkins to get through it… now THAT’S a good burger!
The theater is in walking distance, so it is also in a great location. Parking at this location can be difficult to find, but be patient.

0 stars for service. Waited 30 min for fries. Waitress gave us attitude. food was okay… decent…fries were a little bit oily… had to come here for a business lunch so I wouldn’t come here for myself…

Had the best service from our server/​bartender! Erica went over and above when helping us. I know we were not the easiest table but she didn’t miss a beat. We love this Island restaurant and you will too!

Erica makes a mean Margarita! ! She was so sweet and amazing! She hand squeezed our lime juice for our margaritas! Our healthy salads were also a plus! Come see Erica in Bella Terra!

The food was great, but the waitress Chris passed by asked if we wanted refills and kept walking. She didn’t give us a chance to answer and she came back with refills for all of us at our table. I didn’t want a refill and I think it was wasteful of her to serve it. She also picked up my plate without asking if I was done, and I had one last bite left on it! I’m not sure if she was having a bad day, or if she was just plain rude!

Perfect spot for a business lunch meeting — at the bar or in a booth. It’s my go-​to spot because it’s close enough to the 405 freeway but still away from the bad sides of Bella Tera parking

I’m a little late on my review but wanted to give some credit where it is deserved anyways.
We came in a little over a month ago for some dinner and to purchase a few gift cards for the holidays. We were so pleased with how friendly Morgan (hostess) was when we entered the restaurant. She was such a doll! She even checked on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves during our meal.
I will say though, we ordered a beer and a mojo to– and the beer was flat and the the monitor tasted like soda water, and although I hate to be the complaining table (as I have totally waitressed years ago), I just simply could not drink it. The server (which I feel terrible about not remembering her name, was quick to fix the problem and handled it perfectly. The next round of drinks (Mai Tais) were great! Thank you for accommodating us and making our dinner a great visit!

Still my favorite sit down burger place. A little expensive but a great treat. Come hungry as the burgers are huge. The fries are the best! Over the years I have had most of the burgers but the Hawaiian is still my favorite. Basically a teriyaki pineapple bacon cheeseburger. Soo good. Not my first time and definitely not my last.

The best thing about this place is the employees, especially Christina. The food is really bad, but the beer… Well they didn’t make the beer so it’s pretty good, You know… what you’d expect.
This place is a party on Sunday’s. We literally got cut off by the staff. Awesome

Rachael was our server on 1÷16÷16 and she was fabulous. Throughout the meal we were brought 5 refills and never had an empty mug. Manager came around to make sure we were happy and attended to. Burgers were delicious, love the new buns. We were brought 3 baskets of fries done perfectly! Outstanding experience and Rachael is a keeper! Keep up the good work

Every Islands I’ve been to has been superb… I get a bluenami almost every time… so good

Wow!!! Thanks I love this little island restaurant thingy. Love this Hawaiian atmosphere in here. Makes me literally feel like I am in Huntington Beach. The waiters Chris and girl in the purple shirt were so nice and can read minds. We asked for a box but they offered more fries?! BEST SERVICE! To top it all off, the ranch cups were free. We came back the next day with our receipt, and they offered even more fries. Finally somewhere better than McDonald’s.

I have the best ! Chicken tortilla soup taste and flavor very authentic! !! #10 I order a burger with only sauté mushrooms and avocado /​with /​steam broccoli, was the perfect early Dinner! !

Another fail at this location. Had almost the same exact experience as 5 months ago. Walked in on a Saturday this time with the family from out of town. We sat down and were there almost 15 minutes again with no acknowledgement or hello. Manager comes by to tell us they sent our server on break, sorry. Clearly not a well managed location as this continues to happen months later.
Here’s the problem: the manager comped our fries… gee thanks. Why don’t you focus on fixing the problem affecting our experience. I don’t want free stuff and certainly don’t need a wayward «I’m sorry» accompanied by nonsense jibber jabber about how you’re piloting a new way to bring our fries out. How bout you focus on getting you and your team to be aware of what’s happening and filling in the gaps when you fall short.
We won’t be back. Go to fountain valley for solid service. This location has shown its service is not a priority.

Working lunches are the best because the company pays the tab!
I had the Kilauea Burger with Jalapeño & black pepper crusted burger w/​pepper jack cheese, chipotle aioli, lettuce, tomato & Island Reds. Plus bacon of course!
It was pretty good i usually get the Malibu so I thought i would try something different.
Shannon had the Malibu burger, with Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, American cheese, applewood smoked bacon & mustard.
The French fries for some reason at all the locations i have been to, are little nibblets.
I don’t know how they cut their fries but consistently they are in little pieces of broken ass french fries, like the bottom of the bag of potato chips. not happy with that.
The food was good, service was good, just the flavor for me was not on point this time as it has been in the past at other locations.
I will definitely give them another shot of course because well they are islands… and they are everywhere.
oh and the down side to the work lunch is lemonade no red beer :(

I love Islands!!! My husband and I have been coming to Islands for many years. This is one of the locations we visit at least a couple times a year. Its in the Bella Terra shopping center, and the perfect place to take a break from your day of shopping.
We visited tonight at around 6pm. We were greeted immediately. There was a 10 minute wait. No biggie. Once we were seated, our waitress appeared immediately to take our drink order. She returned shortly, and took our order. My husband ordered fish tacos, I got a burger. Sorry, don’t remember what the burger was called. It doesn’t matter, all the burgers here are great in their own way. There is something for everybody at Islands. My favorite is their bottomless fries. Their french fries are so good, and so fresh. The service is really, really great at Islands. Its one of the things that makes this place so much fun to visit. We have never, ever had bad service at this restaurant.
If you have never given Islands a try, stop by this location. They have great Happy Hour, too!!!

Coming here on a Sunday night was not horrible. We waited about 5 minutes which is not bad at all. I had a coupon for a free dessert for my birthday and also had a $ 25 gift card so why not?! We were seated right away and got out drink orders in, which is ALWAYS water! Our waiter, Mark, took our order and it was on our way. My bf and I ordered and shared:
Tortilla Soup (Small Bowl: $ 4.49) — it is a hearty soup with chicken and vegetables, topped with cheese, avocado, and tortilla strips. I’ve had a lot of tortilla soups and this one wasn’t bad at all. It was actually quite tasty but the chips that were given on the side were super oily so I avoided it. If you order the endless bowl, you can get refills. This is roughly a little over $ 8 if i recall.
Kilauea Burger ($ 11.79) — Jalapeño and black pepper-​crusted burger with pepper jack cheese, island reds, chipotle aioli, lettuce and tomato. I thought this was such a tasty burger cooked to perfection. It was quite simple and delicious but it wasn’t amazing. It came with a side of fries, which we had to send back because it was too salty so that was easily taken care of.
Island Fish ($ 9.99) — two corn tortillas stuffed with premium fried fish, chipotle-​white sauce, cabbage, cilantro and diced tomatoes with sides of pico de gallo and ranchero beans. The fish and everything was good but I thought the tortilla was a bit to thick so I had to tear some off so I basically ate an open faced fish taco

Mocha almond fudge ice cream & cookie crust topped w/​chocolate fudge, whipped cream, roasted almonds & a cherry. This was sooo good because I love chocolate, almond, fudge and everything that came with this delicious dessert! I love ice cream too so it was good! So happy they put a candle as well! Happy birthday to me!
All in all, good experience, good food, but not amazing but pretty decent if you want some food!

Unlimited french fries and onion rings! Great atmosphere, friendly [slow] service, and good food.
Started off with some wings, spicy and delish. I ordered the Maui burger: avocado! Tasty, but I was expecting a fat ½lb patty at least. A little disappointed here. Onion rings were very good. Normal fries. mehh.
Service is very questionable. They were very busy Friday night, so our server was constantly flogged. To get anything we’d always have to flag our server down — annoying after numerous drink and fries refills.
For the price, I’d be tempted to go to Red Robin next time. Bigger burgers and better [steak] fries. Probably better service too.
