This place is the best combination of delicious food and excellent customer service. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

Had a Turkey burger with everything. Fantastic with home made Chipotle Mayo! Ice cold craft beer on tap didn’t hurt either. Quick friendly service.

Just to be sure, if you are reading this review, you definitely are not mistaking this Unilocal for a review about the Grindr «hook-​up» app. Maybe this will give you some reassurance that I needed when my friend suggested, «lets get Grinderz.» Lol.
A definite hole in the wall restaurant. I have never heard of Grinderz before and from asking many people around, the name remains a stranger to them. When I arrived at the location, I was surprised that it was located right next to Bella Terra, though in a plaza that was not too overwhelming. Grinderz is located in Old World Village, and when you walk around, it definitely feels like you are in a little village with a bunch of small coffee houses, bars, and specialty shops. It takes you back to the root of Germany with the architecture, the stone-​paved walkway, and the art displayed.
Anyway, aside from my infatuation with the plaza, lets talk about Grinderz. It’s a small size burger joint, with some outdoor seating available. Its like walking into a house that was made to be a burger diner. We sat outside to enjoy the environment of the Old World Village and experience what Germany would be like considering post-​college debt. haha.
The food is mainly burgers with slight variations but they make it pretty much the same. I got the turkey burger and my friend got the bacon cheese burger. I should have gotten the bacon but the turkey was not that bad. But the holy grail of this place is the Pigsty Fries, you guys have definitely got to try that. I would come back just for the fries. It is a little pricey, but the portion they give you is worth the buck!
Service here is fast and friendly. Just wanted to recognize Wendy for helping us have a good first experience at Grinderz, we’ll be coming back and suggesting it to our friends! :)

Amazing! The burger is awesome and the pigsty fries really do give animal style fries from In N out a run for their money! Would highly recommend for people to check it out

FYI the pigsty fries are SUPER worth. Only bad thing is… that it’s a ton of food (Should share because you will not finish it if you also eat a Burger!). To finish a Burger and the pigsty fries by yourself should be a challenge…
Huge portions of yummy food, beer available, fantastic and welcoming service. What else do you need?

This place is pretty cool. It has a friendly staff and a customer friendly menu. The only hiccup for us would be the seating space but the food and workers more than makes for this minor flaw.

It is like a 3.5 stars.
It took forever to get my food and there was only 1 person at the register and 1 person in the back. The pigsty fries and juicy lucy was good but it didn’t really wow me. The fries were basically animal style beer battered fries with avocado. The juicy lucy was good and had good flavor.
I would come back to give it another try.

Lets face it, its all about the food and of course your service.
Environment: with a skate park across the way, this location is nestled away on Center in a little lot shared with a hookah bar and just yards from the HB skate park. Inside is decent sized and yup you guessed… skaters heaven lol
Service: I’m a first timer to this place and Ryan the man at the register was super friendly and full of energy. He explained the basics and made my mouth water with descriptions of what they make fresh.
Food: i ordered ala carte. I asked for the cheese burger with eye egg and made it a stie and pigstye without the bacon (I don’t eat pork) plus an egg and also ordered my own version on the pigstye fries but again, minus the bacon, i asked to make it with chicken so i called it a Chicstye. :)
Taste/​Flavor/​Overall — the FOOD IS SOOOO DELICIOUS AND FRESH. MAN IT SMELLS GREAT.

Had their mushroom burger and I devoured it in under a minute. Great onion rings as well. Good vibe from the place, seems like they play sports games on the tv as well. Staff is very friendly, but can be over enthusiastic at times when trying to help you decide what to eat (I see it as a con but you may not, to each his/​her own).
Overall would recommend and ill definitely be back.

Passing through the area and found this place on Unilocal.The service was fast and the staff was kind. The food did not disappoint. The meat was seasoned and not dry. Onion rings and fries were both amazing. My only suggestion would be a kids menu — which would basically be a smaller burger.
Indoor seating is minimal so plan accordingly. The restaurant was clean as was the bathroom — much appreciated!

The pigsty fries hoooly cow. They give so much you could probably feed 3 or 4 people with it, but since I only came with one other person, we had to get a togo container for it. Soooo goood though. Fries were super crisp and there were hella toppings, what more could you ask for? (Well personally, it’d be interesting if they were waffle fries or something bigger instead of their skinny fries, but there’s really no need to improve on perfection).
The people behind the counter were all super cool too, overall great experience.

The first time I went here it was because I was in the area and looking for a burger on Unilocal (I don’t live that close) so got it to go. Even to-​go, the patty was well flavored, so I knew it would be even better at the restaurant. However, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger but they forgot the bacon.
The second time I went, it was for my birthday and I asked the cashier if they wouldn’t mind putting on the bacon for free since they forgot it last name. Not only did they oblige, they even gave me a $ 10 gift card! What place does that?! Amazing customer service. They deserve their high Unilocal review average :)

Absolutely delicious burgers. I ordered a double cheeseburger with American cheese, bacon and avocado. It was huge, juicy and delightful. (I used about 4 napkins while eating this burger it was so juicy!)
Also ordered the Pig Sty fries! A delicious concoction of perfectly cooked fries, cheese, bacon, onion and avocado! The serving is huge and for $ 7.50 an awesome deal!
Blows In and Out burgers right outta the water!

I’m the minority here. I was not a fan.
Pros:
Simple menu.
Friendly service.
Burger has decent flavor.
Decent parking, given that it is in Old World. It’s located right at the outside, so it is really easy to park and go inside.
Cons:
There is zero air conditioning. It was super hot when we went in.
Interior seating is just not very comfortable overall.
Really disappointed in the fries. Thin, and too crunchy. Got their Pig Sty Fries. Very little toppings. Sparse to say the least and only on the very top.
Bottom Line: There are far better burger joints than Grinderz.

The restaurant is located inside Old World Village and skateboarding-​inspired. Order food at the counter and it will be delivered to the table of your choosing.
The menu is simple and straightforward. They have the combos and a la carte options. We got the cheeseburger combo which comes with fries and fountain drink, and turkey burger with a side of sweet potato fries.
The food was delicious and fresh. The portion was huge and every item on the menu was under $ 10 except the pitcher of alcohol.
Excellent service and we’ll definitely be back!

I’d give this place between a 3.5 and a 4. Rounding up since the area was interesting.
The parking lot was spacious to plenty of parking. The shops around there are just super weird. Made me feel like I was in some elf town or something lol. No joke, the buildings were built strangely. What I didn’t like was… The flies. I was whacking them off my arms as I was biting into my burger.

Fries: beer battered fries. Man I love fries which I’m sure you’re aware of. I think they threw some highly addictive stuff in the fries because im drooling as I’m typing this. ⁸⁄₁₀
Burger: this burger was ok. It was fresh for sure. But I didn’t see anything special about it. Physically, it’s bigger/​taller than an in n out burger, but the taste wasn’t all that different. I think there’s some romaine lettuce in there. Not sure but it was well put together. I just didn’t think it was an omg burger. ⁷⁄₁₀
Anyway it was a good experience. The inside of the restaurant had a ton of skate boards. Makes sense since its next door to the vans skate park.

I asked for a side of mayo but they had their own sauce so I said okay I’ll try it. I forgot the name but it was so good! Used it to dip my fries in.

Josh greeted us and went above & beyond with some of the best customer service I’ve ever had. He could not be more enthusiastic.
It makes such a difference when you’re interacting with someone that actually likes their job.
I had the pigsty fries that is not on the menu. A family of 3 could eat the serving.
I also tried the onion rings which were cooked to perfection.
They have a nice selection of draft beers at very reasonable prices.
The burger looked great that my co-​worker had ordered.
As simple & small of menu they have, it’s better than any big chain burger place. The care they put into having good service, and good food makes all the difference.
Very reasonable prices & quality food.
Next time I will try one of their sandwiches.

A small burger joint in the Old Village. The inside is quite small and seats about 15 – 20 people. There’s an outdoor seating area which seats another 10 – 15 people.
We were greeted by the cashier and service was really friendly. They have about 5 – 6 beers on tap such as Saint Archer, a local Huntington Beach Brewery (4 Sons I believe), and something simple like PBR.
Double Cheese Burger — $ 6 — Decent 3.5÷5
–The Double Cheese burger does the job. The meat is pretty tender. The bun is a tad soft; i typically prefer it crunchier or toasted. Otherwise the burger is decent given the price.
I enjoyed the fries & onion rings.
TIPS;
–Located in the Old Village, directly across from Costco
–Beers are priced cheap. Pitchers are cheap at $ 16 and fill up about 4 pints
