You had me at chicken and waffles. Sandwiches with waffles instead of bread? Yes please!
The waffles here are crispy on the outside, and soft and airy on the inside. Very interesting texture, with a nice crunch and then a softness that I didn’t expect. Light and delicious. I’m a fan!
The chicken isn’t the best in the world, but it is tasty enough. Just don’t be expecting Roscoe’s or anything like that. The chicken here is a fried boneless chicken breast piece which I found to be a little lacking in the flavor department. It makes for a decent chicken and waffle sandwich, but I thought it needed a bit more flavor, and I had to jazz it up with some Sriracha. There are other varieties on chicken and waffle sandwiches, so I’ll have to try one of those next time.
The bacon cheddar and egg sandwich however was delicious. Combining the light and airy waffle with melted cheese and bacon is just what the doctor ordered. Highly recommended. There are other breakfast egg sandwiches that also looked delicious. I have to say after having both the chicken and waffle sandwich as well as a egg sandwich, I think the egg sandwiches are probably better.
In summary, this is a cool little place to grab a tasty treat sandwiched between some delicious waffles. I’m a fan.

Good service and good food! Probably not the most amazing waffles or sandwiches I’ve ever had, but Bruxie’s was still very enjoyable. I ate the Green Eggs & Ham and really recommend it.

Food was great, I love Bruxies. However today’s customer service was terrible. I came in with my brother and two friends tonight and there were two incidents that threw us off. As we came up to order, the cashier lady seemed to have been in a bad mood as the store was about to close. Idk? My brother was putting in an order and trying to place more orders and it was obvious that she was rushing him and rudely interrupting. We brushed it off and later after we got our food, my brother went up to get us all waters and I guess something was wrong with the water dispenser as it was pouring extremely slow. He only got one cup out of four and asked the same lady if there was any way we can get water from the back. Her exact words were «What? You got somewhere to be or something?»
We all work as servers in restaurants and this kind of service was like a smack in the face. There is no exception to that kind of attitude towards customers. Even if you’re tired and or having a bad day, or maybe even personal problems, you shouldn’t bring it to work and on customers.
I commend the lady for bringing out one water for us but I don’t think she understands the severeness of her attitude.
I usually don’t write bad reviews but when driving out to HB to Bruxie’s, it would have been nice to feel welcomed paying to eat there.

A complete different proposal. Very original and with the Huntington touch.
A really nice environment and terrific customer service.

Even though we had ordered about 10 sandwiches. We pretty much had to request for syrup 10 times!!!
Stay away from. The tomato soup. Or bisque. You don’t get bread or crackers with it ($ 4.95 should come with atleast A CRACKER)
It’s more like marinara. Ewwwee…
Bathrooms have a top secret code written on your receipt… DON’T THROW IT AWAY! Cashiers are not allowed to tell you the code if you lose/​throw away your receipt!

Such a cool hangout place for chilling by the beach! Not too crowded, lots of seating and very nice servers and great people to see as well :)
Price is very adorable, the waffle I ordered got me full afterwards!
I ordered the california bbq chicken waffles and it was amazing though I still want to try their other waffles!
Definitely a keeper, for someone who just wants to relax and hangout with friends! This place is the way to go! Hoping to come back here again!

A really simple, yet genius idea. Waffle sandwich! Their waffles are deceptively good, and make a great sandwich. On this occasion, I had a sausage and egg breakfast sandwich after a late morning surf. I’ve had their lunch and dessert waffles too, and liked them both.
My only demerit is that Bruxie doesn’t open until 9am. Most of the time, I surf early in the morning, and would come here more often if it was open around 7:30 or 8am. The McMuffins don’t quite excite me as a Bruxie’s breakfast sandy!

Nice location in Huntington, and great service. There is indoor and outdoor seating available, and the interior is nice.
The food is the real score here, though. What really keeps me coming back is the banana Nutella waffle. It is SO good and so sweet, I love it. I don’t know what is in the sweet cream that goes on it but it is delicious. Another thing is their house brewed soda. The spiced cola is like a better version of Dr. Pepper and is so good!
Highly recommend going to try out the food, everything has waffles and everything is delicious.

The Buttermilk fried chicken is delicious! It’s big enough for two people. Add some syrup. Yum!
The Chicken buffalo is also delicious. The taste of blue cheese is not that strong. Add some syrup and hot sauce. Be adventurous!
Don’t forget to buy the vanilla shake and waffle fries.
The service is fast and efficient.

I visit Huntington Beach frequently when I go down South but I’ve never had an empty stomach to try Bruxies until recently and what a great location where you can take these delicious waffles sandwiches that is walking distance to the pier.
Pros
Buttermilk Fried Chicken: The ginormous serving of the fried chicken was delicious. The inside was moist and I enjoyed that the coating had herbs to give it more flavor. The sweet and spicy chili honey sauce to drizzle all over your waffle sandwich was heaven.
Smoked Salmon Lox and Dill Cream Cheese: The smoked salmon was salty and melted in your mouth. Even though the herb cream cheese was bomb, there was too much spread compared to the amount of lox given in each sandwich.
Waffle Fries: What better way to compliment your waffle sandwich with crispy waffle fries. The waffle cut fries were fresh and so happy they don’t serve stuff.
Sugar Cane Cola: With sugar cane being used I was scared it may taste flat; however, the cola was perfectly carbonated to wash down your meal.
Cons:
Waffles: Their waffles was okay to me, it could have used more buttermilk since it was dry. I also would have prefer a more crispier tasting waffle than the soft/​semi-​soggy waffles.

I came here yesterday before enjoying the beach. I love the open, airy design of the restaurant space. It compliments it’s beachy location really well.
The servers were really friendly and always came around to see how we we doing. The food itself is awesome. The buttermilk fried chicken is a mix between sweet and savory although I needed to add extra syrup for a little more sweetness. The buffalo chicken sandwich was also really good as well. I definitely recommend getting waffle fries as well.
You’re definitely going to want to wash your hands after eating. The bathrooms are for customers only and you need a code that’s printed on your receipt to get it so don’t throw it out!

The waffle sandwiches here are pretty fantastic. Chicken is always flavorful and tender.
I also love the ambiance of this Bruxie because it’s such an open space and close to the beach. Makeshift garage doors open to reveal the streets of downtown Huntington Beach.
I highly recommend the crème brûlée waffle with fresh strawberries.
On the same token, don’t ever get the «tomato basil soup». I was sick one time accompanying my man here and didn’t have the appetite for a waffle sandwich so I decided to give the soup a try.
Just awful. Tasted like sour spaghetti sauce, with no salt. No hints of basil at all. Campbell’s tomato soup in a can tastes 100% better.

I never thought much about this place at first. However, after visiting here repeatedly and having their frozen custard, savory waffles, and Belgium Brussels Waffle (You can a little bottle of Vermont maple syrup). I was convinced everything they served was consistent, fresh and super yummy.
Initially, I thought this wow, this was kind of expensive for waffles. But the quality you can taste is definitely in here. If you tasted the Brussels Waffle, you get that slight crispness on the outside and the creaminess (No worries, it’s cooked) on the inside. And if you’re not sure what to order, they have plenty of staff that can help explain it to you.
You actually might get over helped here as the manager is often talking and helping out the customer. More is always better than less anyways. The downside of this place of course is being in Huntington by the pier, you have to look for parking in the residentials. Or there is two 24 minute parking spots right outside. There is also 3 more 24 minute spots off Orange but who eats that quick anyways?
Highly recommend joining the boldfold club for discounts and coming here for people with kids.

I’m absolutely in love with breakfast and the idea of having waffle sandwiches and desserts really hit home for me. I’ve heard great things about Bruxie from breakfast lovers, but unfortunately I found myself disappointed.
I ordered the chocolate filled liege to share with my friend and I was surprised as the small portions they gave. The waffles were about $ 6 and I felt that they were overpriced for what I got: it was two chocolate bars cooked inside a mini-​waffle. Now, they still tasted good, but it wasn’t amazing or anything like that. I really feel that my not-​so-​amazing experience was due to what I ordered, since most people get their sandwiches and more intricate items.
I hope to go back to Bruxie soon so I can try their other menu items, but I’m still bummed about the okay waffles at an expensive price.

Bruxie is consistently very good food. Hot waffle sandwiches with sweet and savory toppings.
The only one I’ve tried that I didn’t care for was the fried chicken one. It’s like a chicken breaded cutlet rather than crisp chicken. I like the turkey avocado bacon one and the green eggs and ham.
Dessert ones you can’t go wrong with the crème brûlée waffle or the lemon Meyer!

I love Bruxie and it’s amazing that they have a location on the beach because after a day in the sun and salty water, I feel like I’ve lost all my energy. I always crave Bruxie after a long beach day. Despite being in a busy area, the staff does a great job with customer service and keeping the place clean. There’s outdoor seating, meaning this place is pet friendly.
The waffle is always freshly made, so fluffy and warm. And the fact that there are savory and sweet waffles is why I’m always able to eat here! I can hardly stray away from the original chicken waffle sandwich or the crème brûlée dessert waffle.
If you need syrup, it’s $ 1 more but it’s always worth it to me!
Bruxie also has seasonal flavors and fruits that they use for their dessert waffles and their drinks. Whenever strawberries are in season, you have to get the strawberry crème brûlée waffle!!!
I also recommend their Italian sodas and their custard is to die for.

There are several locations, I came to the one in Huntington Beach. I like this location because its very close to the beach and there are stores surrounding it. Other than desserts, they also serve breakfast, burgers, chicken, salads, sandwiches, and hot & cold beverages, shakes & floats, etc. We ended up sitting outside since they were closing. It was cold and windy but it was a nice night to sit outside.
:Dessert:
We decided to get the Nutella Banana with sweet cream which is located under the Sweet Waffle Treats on the menu. The portion was just right for my friend and I. It’s basically like a sandwich, two waffles and in between is sweet cream, Nutella, and slices of bananas. The waffle was light and crisp. I thought it was «ok», not bad. I would come back to try other items on the menu.

— grilled chicken club — this was new on the menu so I ordered it. What made me order it was that it had some aioli on it. I love aioli so I got an extra side order of it (25 cents). I really like the aioli and the chicken wasn’t dry so that’s good
