Oh no. This place is not good. If you don’t know what a Raspado is, it’s basically a snowcone made with shaved ice and syrup /fruit toppings. And, for those that have had Italian ice, Hawaiian shaved ice or really good Raspados, you know how good it can be. Alas, this place is NOT it. The ice is chunky, so it really feels like you are pouring overly sweet syrup on crushed«soda machine» style ice… Other places do it right when the ice is so nicely crushed that it melts in your mouth slowly, but this place gives you chunky ice that you have to chew on and break in your mouth… No good. Make sure you have good medical insurance when you go here because you might have to go see a dentist after chowing on these raspados… And, as if that weren’t enough, the flavored toppings are way too sweet. We tried 6 different flavor when we went and they are all way to sweet. I guess if you are a little kid you might like the flavors that way, but I think not because even my 3 year old rejected his and stopped eating after 3 or 4 bites… The«chamangos» and«champinas» are pretty good, but not spicy enough to overcome the challenges this spot faces. The service is terrible. The people working there are not happy to see you and they don’t even welcome or greet you like they do everywhere else in the world and are not very helpful with flavor selection or adjusting your order. I think maybe they are run by some sort of tyrant boss that doesn’t empower them to make small changes to keep customers happy or keep them in a good mood because it’s clearly omitted in the experience… It’s so sad to have a place like this and then totally miss the mark. We wanted this place to be good so badly, but they just didn’t deliver. They don’t have kid-sizes for anything even though they are selling a kid classic dessert. Say what? Yeah, and the prices are high for what you get(about $ 4.50 per serving). C’mon, you can get a whole meal at some fast food places for that price… And last, but not least, the ambiance is extremely lacking with park-style benche seating, music that doesn’t match a dessert spot and empty, drab décor. Unless you are seriously«jonesing» for a raspado and nothing else will do, I’d say that you are better off spending your money on some frozen yogurt or even some ice cream at your local drug store.

This is the perfect place for my Mexican raspado fix, they have your regular snow cones but also the more original stuff with a variety of fruits, tamarind base juices and chamoy(almost like a sweet and sour flavored water).

Great service. Huge selection to choose from. My snowcone with fruit was delicious. Nacho chips were stale but I’m still a fan! Will be returning.

The elote was mediocre. Would rather make my own at home, or go to Mi Tienda. Had a cookies and cream raspado as well, and that was just as bland. For the price, I expected much more, but I suppose I’ll give it another go in the near future.

Looking for an elote fix in Humble, Raspado Xperts is the place to go! The elote comes in one size and is about $ 3 each. The elote here isn’t spicy but if you want it to be just ask them to add chili. This place also has other Mexican drinks but I wasn’t daring enough to try it, but if you like that kind of stuff, you can pretty much get it here. Now this is my place to visit when I’m in the mood for some elote for sure!

Nice, cute little Mexican style snow cone joint. If you like spicy treats you have to try the pico de gallo raspado.
