Super cute place with simple, good food. The staff is great, friendly and down to earth. If you are looking for a home style, non-hipster, non-pretentious place for brunch, I highly recommend this place.

you feel like you are walking into your great aunts family kitchen when you walk into this restaurant. The ladies are sweet, the menu is classic and the environment is inviting. I order the turkey pesto melt for lunch with comes with a side salad and pickle. The sandy was AMAZE! true roasted turkey chunks with a rich pesto flavor on a fluffy roll. YUM! And here is where Tanzy’s gets a 4 not a 5. the pickle was 2 slices of bread and butter pickle not the hardy spear i was hoping for and the side salad was some pasta salad in a 2 oz container filled to brim with mayo and no flavor.

Stopped here for lunch and had the pesto melt sandwich and a pumpkin black bean soup that surprise me how delicious it was. This is a great place very cute and cozy. You need to check it out.

The Pancakes were great. The omelet was a little sad: I like them cooked hot and fast, this was slow and low. Low prices though.

Some of the best sausage gravy I’ve ever had!!! The BF even strong armed Sandy for the secret to the gravy(which of course we’d never divulge). Service was excellent and the staff was very friendly

Tanzys… I really wanted this to be a gem. The ladies here were sweet but the service was lacking. Just FYI the place fills fast because it’s small, which also means it can get very busy quickly. I waited a while for my order and my food. The coffee was ok. The eggs and home fries were good. The pancakes seemed like they added cake batter to it. Too sweet for my taste(even with just syrup on it). When I was done I received my check but then it took an additional fifteen minutes to close me out. Not so fun. I ended up going to tea spot on the corner to get my caffeine fix.

Food here is unenlightened non-local, non-fresh, non-farm to table. It is not a good breakfast place if you like fresh, interesting or delicious. For that you must go to Bonfiglio up the street. Bonfiglio is both hip and über delicious. Tanzy is a high carb pancakes kinda place. Low on the culinary scale. I went for breakfast twice on a weekday. Last time I ordered poached eggs on toast. The breakfast came out looking like it haled from the 50’s. Eggs were not cooked. Yuck. I left. Hungry and bummed at throwing away 12 bucks. Ain’t going back.

We went here for breakfast our first morning in Hudson. I wasn’t overly impressed with the menu but it was open and close by, so hey, why not?! The restaurant isn’t huge so even though they didn’t look that crowded, there wasn’t a table for our party of four, so we were told we had to wait 15 minutes, which turned out t be more like 25. Once we were seated, things moved along. I ordered tea and then brought me a basket with a good variety of tea bags. DW and SIL ordered the blueberry waffle special. I tasted it and thought the waffle was well-cooked and the blueberries added some tang. SIL’s BF ordered the combo platter which featured a rather large pancake. I got egg whites with pork roll and multigrain toast. The portion of egg whites I got was rather paltry. The toast was fine as was the pork roll, though the slices seemed thinner than what we get here in Jersey.

We had a very long wait for our food, nearly an hour. When we complained to the waitress, the chef came to our table and yelled at us! She was offended by our complaining. Her aggressive behavior scared the 6 year old boy who was with us and made him cry, and gave my 10 year old daughter quite a scare. We are NEVERGOINGBACK. There are too many great places to eat in Hudson. No need for Tanzy’s.

Tiny spot, but don’t let that fool you, While in town for a wedding, we used Unilocal to help find a place for breakfast. THISWHAT UnilocalISABOUT! I was so pleased to find this place. The staff was super helpful and amazing. Great portion sizes and so so worth the price. In fact, the prices are super reasonable. The front of the store has baked goods and candy prepared there. Nice touch on your way in or out of the place. If you’re in town, please stop by and say hi.

This place is freakin’ adorable. Don’t expect frills but do expect a solid breakfast selection including well made omelettes, good coffee and yummy pastries. The waitresses are the real deal and you can tell they treat everyone like family.

On a recent blustery, snowing, miserable day, we trekked through the main street of Hudson to see what all the fuss is about, and ended up stumbling into this warm, inviting café to escape the minus 12 degree weather. Craving some warm beverages and comfort food, we settled in and were immediately greeted by a friendly waitress who welcomed us to town. We ordered platters of french toast, pancakes, sausages, bacon — the works! The food arrived quickly and everything was fresh and delicious. We were very pleased with the relaxed vibe, the attentive service, the home-cooked food, and the retro décor. Thanks for recommending this place, Unilocalers!

Great spot for a casual breakfast. Warm, friendly, and — at least when we stopped in — filled with Hudson locals.

my friend and I had breakfast here last weekend — and it was delicious! We were staying at the Inn at Ca’ Mea down the street and they recommended Tanzy’s. I tried my friend’s order of the special — Annisette Italian Toast — I am so sorry I didn’t order it — it was incredible. We met the owner Sandie — she is the real deal — a delight! Everything about our breakfast was wonderful — thanks Sandie!

I had brunch here with a friend during a visit to Hudson. It’s a cozy place with good food and warm service that makes you feel like you’re having brunch at a favorite aunt’s home. The décor is delightfully kitschy and the atmosphere makes for a really relaxing, pleasant experience. And there’s free WiFi, too!

Very nice ace. Very friendly staff — owner, waitress, Chef… And food is good — we had Omelet w veggies, French toast topped with rhubarb and blueberries, and ice tea. All nice portions and tasty. Cute place, highly recommended.

Family run by two sisters, Sandy and Tisha. Excellent service — their philosophy is, they don’t have customers, they have«company.». Outstanding pancakes are BIG, fluffy and delicious. Awesome French toast is the perfect amount of crunch and butter. The open face hot turkey is Thanksgiving on a plate — all homemade, including the cranberry sauce. Don’t miss this place it’s the real deal.

Dear Tanzy’s: This is an intervention: I LOVEYOU. I LOVEYOUSOHARD. But seriously, sweetheart, on the weekends, you need more than that one poor woman in the kitchen to turn out food that doesn’t take an hour. And that one other poor woman serving tables, running around trying to make everyone happy. She’s such a gem! But seriously, Tanzy’s. I can cut you slack — I get to come on the weekdays when it’s slower and pleasant and everybody in the place is a local. Your pancake is number two or three on my All Time Pancake List. But you’re understaffed on weekends and today, it really did take over an hour from when we sat down until my beloved single pancake arrived. My husband was in a(sudden, because we thought we had allotted more than enough time for breakfast) rush to get to work, and felt so stressed by the long wait that, right before my pancake arrived, he had to say«If the food doesn’t come in five minutes we have to walk out.» The food arrived pretty much five minutes later. TANZY’S. THISISANINTERVENTION. HIRESOMEBODY! How about one of those fresh-faced coffee girls from Le Perche across the street? Maybe see if they know somebody? Because your current staff is SOWONDERFUL and SOFRIENDLY, but clearly the weekends require some extra bodies in the joint. Until then, I’ll stick to weekdays.
