This place had too few stars when i checked it out because a few miserable people decided to take out their bad day on the place. I came in and the bar was bustling with chatter and a blues grass band setting up, I was shortly greeted by the owner after I had a comfy seat at the bar, she was very welcoming and good company, mingling with patrons and making sure everyone was happy. You know you’ve stumbled into a good place when the drink garnishes look like finger food. They don’t have a giant menu but if your looking for a healthy/tasty bite to eat and a good drink its a very worthwhile stop. By the way the bartenders are not pretentious hipsters, they’re chill.

Always enjoy our visits to Or, when in Hudson. Lovely, spare space with a chill atmosphere. Nice selection of wines and upscale bar food. Great service.

Poor service. Rude hipster bartenders. Go back to NYC with your pretentious attitudes.

Our«bartender» didn’t know what drinks were on tap. He was clueless and spacey. Didn’t ask if we wanted another round and acted bored and flippant. Lame scene despite the wood stove.

Nice spot for a drink with a lovely patio. We only stayed for a beer(great selection) but the BBQ food smelled delicious. Star off as wifi was spotty.

I enjoyed the use of space and how communal the indoor/outdoor area felt. I was happy to find there was a happy hour when we ordered a few pints at the bar. The bar was completely full at 6pm and the outdoor space was full of people with their doggies, a few bike riders, and a mix of people just enjoying a warm fall evening. The bartender was incredibly helpful when we were asking her about the different beers and drink offerings. I thought the concrete pad floor inside the bar area was well done. I’ll be curious to see how the inside develops over time. What we enjoyed at ÖR was a great use of space, at an interesting part of Hudson, and a good mix of patrons. Since there are few outdoor places to enjoy a drink in Hudson, we found this to be a good addition to the area. I always enjoy open spaces that you can have a good café or a nice drink without feeling you are being rushed.

To those who are complaining this place is «pretentious».have you been to Hudson? It fits right in, and actually the draft beers were only 4 $ which is a super reasonable price compared to elsewhere in town. People are giving this place 1 star reviews because they are seemingly offended when waitstaff tell them they serve pour over coffee… either because they are not familiar with or they are not impressed because they«drank Afghan espresso in the Hindu Kush».(LOL) I think those people have delicate egos and their reviews shouldn’t be taken seriously. The bartender was attentive and friendly. Clean, nice wide open space with plenty of room, a fireplace to sit next to when it’s chilly and an outdoor area with tables for when you need air. I will be returning with friends for sure.

They have a great selection of teas and a nice selection of lighter brunch items. I had the bagel with lox and capers. Hunter was a very sweet server/bartender! The atmosphere was nice, definitely minimalist décor with an area that looked like an in use art studio. The music was nice too, folky and quiet.

The tea is great. Clean, beautiful ambience. Friendly staff. The baked goods were stale. The strawberries on yogurt seemed defrosted and were sour.

Cool spot, full bar, decent beer. But it’s 9am so that’s not what I’m here for. «We serve pour overs here. So it will be a few minutes,» is the haughty response to my order of a coffee. Perfect! That’s what I want! Great list of beans, line of ceramic V60s, I’m anticipating a great cup. Alas, technique is sloppy — or maybe just apathetic. It’s like the barista is just dumping in water every now and again when it occurs to her. These are V60s, not Beehives! That doesn’t work! No surprises at my muddled, lackluster cup. Oh, well. :(

I love the room in this former garage! A fantastic renovation and use of space. The horseshoe bar makes it very communal, and the patio couldn’t be better. It has become one of my favorite go to spots!

Good god! What is the malfunction with the«cool & hip» cafes where staff are just too rude & pretentious to serve. Today I decided to visit UR but met up with an «Errrr» the left with a «Grrr“feeling then left ordering nothing because the exceptionally unhelpful waitress barely noticed us, didn’t seem friendly and could not adequately explain what coffee was, is or its availability in any manner other than confirming«no espresso». It’s a fauxhemian hipster Joint disguised as a social spot. It’s not a café but a garage full of ‘we are sooo cool. Look at the pine wood tables!’ Yes dear it’s very pretty but adults often like hot little demitasse cups of REAL coffee. Cold pressed does not impress a man who drank Afghan espresso in the Hindu Kush. Good waitressing & pleasantry does. Management. Re scrub, talk to the staff & welcome everyone. Get & espresso machine too. I will revisit within 30 days.

Manners and gratitude would do this place juuuust fine. It is the definition of trying *way, way* too hard to be cool. IKEA threw up all over this space, the anorexic artiste in the office(possible owner/manager who does not believe in the comfort and sanity of her/their guests because it was 150 degrees in there) and the snobbish«bartender» that couldn’t open your pretentious bottle of «French» wine. Barf. Go anywhere else.

Cool space, big. Completely understaffed and staff is a bit too precious and would rather not be bothered to serve. Has potential but annoying when places open and aren’t staffed properly.
