After checking out the reviews my family and I decided to give thus Taquerio a try. For a sunday morning it was quiet and not busy at all that was a plus for sure. We decided we would give the food a try instead of regular breakfast tacos. My hubby ordered the shrimp taco plate and I ordered the carne asada plate. The shrimp tacos come with bacon which I found to be different; anything made with bacon is good. Well my hubby confirmed it the shrimp tacos were great the plate comes with three tacos and rice he couldn’t eat it all. The tacos are a nice size you gotta try it. The red salsa was deliciously spicy my 2yr old tried it and boy the face had made was priceless. The burrito perfect size to split between two not so hungry kids. The carne asada half and half was delicious too. The charro beans are a delight as well. If you haven’t tried this place give it a try

I’m from California. I have been in Texas for five years. It took some time for Texas to grow on me, and when it finally did I just couldn’t go all in because I think Texas Mexican food is TERRIBLE! Enter Taqueria La Perla de Jalisco. I came for dinner late on a Sunday night. Service was very prompt and friendly. I ordered a michilada, which was so delicious I had to have two — and their tacos — YUM!!! Where have these been the last five years? I wanted to get up and hug and kiss the friends I was with. Four tacos(fajita, lengua, chicharrones, and pork) and some charro beans. The tacos can either come with tomatoes and cheese, etc or you can order it with just cilantro and onion. I chose the latter. And that’s all they needed. Every single taco was BOMB. I couldn’t finish everything that night so I took leftovers and they were even better than the night before. Not conveniently located for me, but I would seriously drive here at least once a week just to get a fix. Did I mention that they’re super affordable AND they have horchata? I’m in love…

Food is great, had the Chilaquiles with beef in red salsa, taste was all there. Also ordered a gordita with pastor and it was delicious, you can tell it was freshly made in house. Washed it all down with their Horchata which was very refreshing, this is a great place for Brunch. Definitely coming back

The price is high for what you get. Food is just ok. I used to visit often but found a better spot down the street that is cheaper and taste better.

Was in the area and went here because it had good reviews on Unilocal. It pretty accurate! Just got the standard carne asada tacos and a side of rice and beans. They have good salsa(both red and green) and the meat quality was pretty good too. I would come here again.

Food is delicious but the margarita was a little weak for a top shelf. I would come back.

This is my second time coming in. I love their tacos because they are not greasy and taste delicious. We always get fast service and the waiters are attentive. This will be my go to taco spot !

Sorry to say but this is NOT authentic Mexican food, to everyone who rated 5 stars they have not tried Mexican food at its finest. 1. Homemade flour and corn tortillas? Not by any means. Their menu clearly stated«homemade» yet we were given store bought tortillas that stuck together like glue 2. The huevos rancheros plate was a joke, more like bean soup. The beans were so watery, definitely not refried or fresh. Seems to me that they were from a can and watered down 3. Banana shake was decent, minus the fact they didn’t add cinnamon nor did they offer the option for cinnamon. 4. The breakfast torta was a disaster, the bread wasn’t bollio bread which is authentic for a torta. 5. Service was slow, it took our waitress forever just to bring our drinks not to mention the food was a longer wait. 6. Complimentary chips and salsa were a mess. Salsas are not supposed to be watery and the small handful of chips were not enough. We definitely will not be back. If this place closes soon it wouldn’t surprise me.

Very good and delicious authentic Mexican food… I ordered the chilaquiles with no meat and fell in love with their green salsa. I can’t wait to go back to see if their lunch and dinner hold up just like the breakfast!

Really good food. I got the five tacos for 7 bucks. Fajita tacos with onions and cilantro. Very tasty. Could use some more flavor but good. The green sauce is spicy and really good. I also got one breakfast taco which I may add was probably my fave. The huevos rancheros are really good come with bacon potatoes and beans for 3.49 oh an tortilla too before 11am. Tacos are also 1.00 before 11am too Pretty good spot for good fast Mexican food. Will def go back. They still get five stars. But today I had the pozole and my god it was really bad. I also tried several other dishes that are really good. I will keep going back. But the pork they used for the pozole was old or something

Fabulous pick for when you need a quick, affordable bite in the neighborhood! Food is definitely more authentic Mexican– don’t expect Grade A skirt steak for your street tacos. You’re getting street meat, and it is still dang awesome. They garnish with tomatoes and lettuce as well, so their tacos are more filling than the average taco cart in a parking lot. I always get the tacos with a side of rice. You can go hardcore street and get corn tortillas, but for some reason I absolutely love the flour tortillas on the tacos here. Actual restaurant is massive. You could put couches between tables and still have room. Very clean, and I love the festive flag banners hanging from the ceiling. :P Service is fabulous. Really kind folks, so make sure to tip the wait staff!

Wow, finally a solid yet affordable Mexican food joint in the area. I had the chilaquiles with al pastor meat, instead of chicken or beef fajita meat. The ingredients were fresh, properly prepared, and everything was very good! I’ll definitely be back!

i like to run by here for breakfast/brunch before I hit up the bike shop(down the street). Fast service, very cheap, exactly what you’d expect of a Taqueria. Everything nicely flavored, standard chips and salsa. friendly staff, makes it a great stop on my long drive.

Love the food here! The dinner quesadillas are huge and stuffed full! They are soo good! But the best thing I have had so far is their taquitos. Mmmm!!! They have a very spicy green sauce that is just the perfect kick to go with your meal and the guacamole and queso are both great options for an appetizer! They are very friendly and very affordable. We are regulars!

Great tortillas, you can tell they were freshly made. Breakfast tacos were excellent. For $ 1 tacos, they were very filling. I definitely recommend this place.

I am yet to be dissatisfied with this place! Very family friendly, especially for the little ones. Breakfast tacos for $ 1 and fajita meat tacos for $ 1.50 The Taqueria has the prices of a taco truck, but the quality of a 5 star restaurant!

I was going to take a picture of my breakfast tacos and post them here. But they looked so good I ate them before I got a chance to. There are a couple other breakfast taco places on 1960, however they are food trucks. This place is large, spacious, and very clean. The servers are very attentive, and the tacos were great. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast tacos.
