Restaurant – Bar Tierra Caliente

I moved into the neighborhood behind the restaurant about 2 years ago. I had no idea this place existed until my aunt told me about it. My GF and I had been ordering takeout from Arandas up until recently. This place is extremely good. It’s not Tex Mex. Don’t get me wrong, I like Tex Mex. This is very authentic Mexican food. We always order carry out. So far we’re hooked on their beef fajitas for two. It comes with grilled jalapenos, onions, green peppers, and authentic corn tortillas. Of course we get all the sides and fixin’s as well. Very well priced, at least half that of Pappasitos. There’s nothing real fancy about the place. It’s set up like a typical Mexican restaurant, not main stream restaurants. Really doesn’t matter for us. We’re not really there for the dining experience.
The only 2 cons I feel the restaurant has is that their listed phone number doesn’t work, so you can’t call ahead to preorder. And they have very loud music inside playing on big DJ speakers. It’s loud, very loud.
