The huaraches and gorditas are delicious especially with fajita meat. They also have agua de horachata which is really sweet and taste authentic. There micheladas are the best, nothing fancy but the mixture they use is mouth watering !

AHHHHAHAHAI!!!(Mexican Yell) If you want some delicious traditional Lamb barbacoa, this is the spot to come! I have been here ever since I could remember, when they were a lot smaller on the other side of the market and due to their popularity they expanded on the other side of Airline. It is so packed since it is open only on weekends and even trying to get a table for seating is hard enough and literally have to put on your eagle eye glasses and fly in like a hungry vulture! Now don’t get me wrong everything from their tripa tacos, huaraches and fajita is good but nothing can compare to their barbacoa and free consome! So next time bring your parents, kids, cousins, shoot bring the entire neighborhood and stop by! You will not be disappointed!

This place is only open on the weekends and only take cash. One of the best places in Houston to eat authentic mexican food, they have menudo, pozole, tripas, carnitas, barbacoa and many more. My favorite are the carnitas and huaraches. To me is the best taco place. Hands down.

I remember coming here before I moved and had longed to come back. Well I feel the quality has changed a bit. I ordered chorizo and nopales gordita and it was dripping in grease. I also ordered grilled onions and jalapeños and they were covered in grease. The cabrito(goat) was not greasy and wish I had ordered that instead. It is cafeteria style dining with a wonderful Mexican ambiance. They have added tables outside which helps with the seating as well as flat screens mounted on the walls displaying soccer games. Beware it is hot inside. They have fans going but this is Houston and fans don’t cut it for 100 plus degree weather. Lines do get long.

Okay so these are the best Mexico City style tacos around. Probably better than in Mx because they are super full. Its popular amongst nonYelpers. Free beans with any purchase. $ 21 gets us 8 double tortilla tacos with beans and a large Agua Fresca. You need not be annoyed by spanish music, piñatas hanging overhead, hispanic blue collar population, or all the spanish signage posted around. The owner has a hilarious sense of humor and posts funny signs all around. You oft see his children clearing tables or serving. It cafeteria style, you get in line to order. Tacos, gorditas, fried tacos, plaintains, beans, consome, barbacoa, lamb, huaraches, Aguas frescas, sodas. Its inside the flea market de buey y vaca. Get here before 9am and you can park for free. 9am+ $ 3. Ita not a fancy 5 star restaurant. Its a 5 star street fare place. No better place.

What I had was ok. I wish they had a menu on the wall. Instead of a menu you will see in big letters written in spanish ‘You already know what we have’ uh no I don’t It’s my first time here! There was a huge line so I felt rushed and had no time to ask about the menu so I just ordered two tacos. They also have stupid handwritten signs throughout the place. I read a few hoping to find a hidden menu but no luck.
