I almost thought this place had improved but then I opened my food to see that the order was wrong! Nothing infuriates me more than paying for something you didn’t want. While I understand that errors happen all the time at fast-food restaurants, I still get ticked-off when it happens to me. The only reason I’m giving Popeyes 2 stars instead of 1 is because my food was ready qickly and was served piping hot.

Food is what to be expected. I love Popeyes and it’s pretty much the same at all the locations, give or take. The thigh was a little tiny and full of bones BUT the service was good through the drive through. I didn’t know about the $ 5 big box and so when I started ordering a two piece and a bunch of sides, the guy actually told me about the $ 5 big box(2pc chicken + biscuit + 2 sides). He didn’t have to do that and he was nice. The service was super fast and they got my order right. It’s a fast food drive through and it really can’t get better than this.

Not as good as other chains like golden chick or chick fila. They are bit on the pricy side and tend to screw your order up as well.

2 stars because the hubby liked the chicken. Disgusting restroom(vandalized, in need of repair), smelly restaurant. The staff while friendly, were very difficult to understand.

Popeyes makes some great chicken and sides but if you get cheated on your order… that makes it all not so great. Who counts their chicken pieces before they get home? If you shop here, you had better. Just bought a ten-piece special to go(order#16, 2:20 pm Jan. 9th). When I tried to feed the gang at home, there were only eight pieces of chicken, 20% less than advertised and paid for. Sloppy work assuming it was an accident.

As much I love Popeyes, this location has a lot to be desired. While it is clean, the service here is abysmal at best. I had to repeat my order several times and then had to go through each item in the bag to make sure that it was actually correct. Even so, who can’t love Popeye’s chicken — even if you have to verify your order personally.

Recently the service and food quality has changed. Two out of three visits my order was incorrectly filled, wrong sides, items not given and erg chicken instead of spicy. You can taste flour on the chicken and both the chicken are heavy with grease. They don’t seem to be draining the grease at all. Miss the place it used to be!

This Popeye’s is a hit or miss. There are many times I come here and the chicken is great and then there are times when I come here and I can’t beat to eat the chicken because there are feathers on them. I wish their food was a bit more consistent as they seem to be one of the better ones to go to in the area.

Poor customer service. I came to the store at a very slow time. No customers were waiting for service. Two employees were around the counter and NOTONE of them even acknowledged my presence while waiting to order. One worker turned his head, looked at me, then turned back around to continue talking with his coworker. My guess is that they were trying to decide whose job it was to take care of the front counter. Definitely not a good look, guys. I walked back out of this restaurant. This was my first time coming to this location and will definitely be my last. You are at a business to WORK and do what you’re paid to do – not talk and ignore customers. You weren’t even busy!

The most delicious succulent chicken that you can ever get at a fast food restaurant make sure you want to salivate before getting the piece of chicken to your mouth. the most crispy perfect texture that you can find on chicken anywhere on planet earth but if you do travel to soar on its pretty good she going there too

I’d rather visit the Bellaire location than ever come here again. It’s easier for me to count how many times they HAVEN’T messed up my order than how many times they have. The food is usually warmish rather than hot. And many times I’ve been given wings with hardly any meat on them and 11 or 10 pieces instead of the 12 piece I usually order for my family. Today was the last time I purchased takeout from this location and I didn’t check my food before I left. HUGEMISTAKE. Wrong sides(yet again). I turned around in horrible richmond traffic and decided I’d rather have my money back and ordered Chinese takeout instead.

I love fried chicken. Everyone probably knows that. For fast food varieties, Popeye’s is my favorite. This location has a pretty efficient drive thru with a working screen to check your order, and the staff was fast and courteous. Also, my order was correct. What else is there to say?

One of the nicest Popeyes I’ve been to. I always do drive-thru and it is fast! In the past I would have to go to sketchy areas next to cricket stores. I like the spicy chicken fingers. Make sure you get some kind of sauces when driving thru. Overall, great stuff!

Look, I’m no expert when it comes to fast food fried chicken(thank goodness), but this place did everything I needed it to do. The sweet tea was sweet and tasty. The chicken came out hot and spicy. The place was clean, «new everything» as it was recently remodeled. All the staff was cool, no crazies were eating nor nothing out of the ordinary. Good Popeyes overall.

I mean… It’s Popeyes. I have never been inside this location. It is right next to my boyfriends house. We come here if its too late to cook or we are just being lazy. They have messed up my order a few times, but it was giving me more food than I ordered. Not a big deal.

I am usually a fan of Popeye’s, but this location is awful. The chicken was dry, overbreaded, lukewarm, not good. The flour seemed like it had not been sifted all day. The mash potatoes and gravy were also lukewarm. Very disappointing experience. In the middle of the dinner rush, I was the only person in the drive through so clearly this Popeye’s reputation is known by the locals. Strongly recommend to look for a different Popeye’s location.

I can name a couple of spots that have some great chicken but you can not ignore the years and years that Popeyes has provided their great tasting chicken. Lord, why in the world would they start that 2 for $ 1.99 on Tuesdays??? IF thats not of the devil… Eventhough there is a specail going on Tuesdays, it does not take away from the freshness of the food. YES, Im a fan!

This is the slowest lunchtime service I have ever experienced. I am not a lethargic Southerner that consistently drops the letter ‘G’ from words(i.e. choppin’, totin’, haulin’, and various other activities that take place in overalls in, on, or near a pickup truck) however I am not a go-go type-A NYC assclown either. I am just a fat man that is hungry for some fried chicken. And that is someone you do not want to cross especially if they skipped their morning bagel because of a guilty purchase last evening in the clearance aisle of Banana Republic for a $ 16 silk tie. The wait in the drive-thru was endless and there were only two cars in front of us. Two cars should not take that long to be ushered through the drive-thru and onto the highway to delicious chicken. That was the first indication that something amiss was afoot. And then once finally at the little squawk box to order our delicious chicken then tragedy stuck and the squawk box was silent for minutes on end, further delaying the entry into delicious town, population me. The guy apologized once finally on the squawk box and we set out to order the food. I am glad he repeated it back to us, since there is no light-up menu reciting it back to us like at the fancy Taco Bells, because he got the order wrong and we had to re-order and verify again that he got the right thing down this time. Again, a bit of an alarm. Once ordered and swiping the card, $ 18 for two people, definitely not bad at all for lunch in this zip code, we were told to pull around to the front, out of the drive-thru lane, and to wait for our food. As a prodigious eater of fast food I can tell you without a doubt that is always a bad sign because you are going to be waiting a long, long time. And we did. But at least we got the sodas at that point. The one high point is that the Dr Pepper was not flat. Every single fast food place has flat Dr Pepper but zombie jesus blessed this place and all zombie children can rejoice that their drinks are sparkly and sugary and they are not flat. Good Dr Pepper. Good Dr Pepper makes me happy for a minute until I realize I am still hungry and it is meow late in the afternoon for the feeding time at the trough they colloquially refer to as «lunching» as opposed to «brunching» which you do with a Bloody Mary in one hand and a piece of bacon in the other on Sunday. Finally the food came out and it had been such a long point at that time, longer than the time it used to take to go to America’s during lunch when that little beacon of hope was still off Post Oak, that instead of actually making sure the food was actually what we ordered, we threw caution to the wind and just went straight back to work. In all fairness, since i have to be fair, we did not get spaghetti & blankets. We actually got what we ordered. And they did not cheapass us with one ketchup packet to split, there was more than one ketchup packet. Popeye’s is delicious. This particular location would greatly benefit from understanding that people do not want to spend their entire afternoon waiting for the delicious chicken though. There are other things to do with your afternoon than wait. Although the chicken and fries are delicious, it would be even more delicious if it took less time to get.

Fast service! Spicy chicken is well seasoned, crispy, not too greasy or salty. They even have a Tuesday special combo: 2 piece chicken, biscuit, drink, and I think fries were included too for $ 3.99 Restaurant is pretty clean too.
