The chicken was just ok — not as moist and flavorful as the reviews indicate. The service was not very friendly and its super annoying that they charge 50 cents for sauce and only give you 1 small container for half a chicken. The spicy fries were also disappointing– just packaged(likely frozen) crinkle fries with some seasoning. Will stick to super chicken and pollo campero.

I bring my colleagues here when I am working in Houston and so far, everyone has loved it. None of them were familiar with Peruvian food, but my husband being Peruvian, has made me quite familiar with the dishes and the food here is without a doubt authentic and tiene sabor!

Chicken was very moist, not very flavorful. The skin wasn’t crispy, and was a little too salty. The fried cassava(yucca) was salted(in a good way) and was super crispy on the outside, not very creamy on the inside. The spicy fries were soggy, but the seasoning on them was spicy and flavorful. The bravo sauce is creamy, not like the usual green sauce served at other chicken places, but it was good. They give you 1 container of sauce. Extra sauce is $ 0.45 per container which might not seem like a lot, but that container is tiiiiny. The cashier didn’t speak english very well, a waitress had to help her take my order, so that and the blandness of the chicken knocked off a couple stars. Would I come back? Maybe, but not anytime soon and I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.

I would put zero start but I can’t. Coming from a Peruvian native and from New Jersey. This place taste horrible. I would never come again. The white rice was mushy with cilantro. The fries are crinkled. The chicken taste like Boston market and worst of all the AJIISSUPPOSEDTOBEMADEWITHHACATAYNOTJALAPEÑOS.

I was invited to Pollo Bravo by a friend from church. I must say, the food was great and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. Our waitress was also very helpful and polite. Overall, great place and good food.

Love the food here ! But sadly they ran out of Chicha Morada. I didn’t appreciate that the music didn’t go well with the culture of the food they are selling.

The chicken was delicious, and very juicy(even the white meat). great value for the price. Loved the sweet plantains. Language was a bit of a challenge, but the food was worth it.

I ordered the Half Of Chicken and that baby was cooked so damn good. The meat was juicy and it was seasoned very well. The rice and beans were good and the plantains were also super yummy. For the half of chicken and 2 orders of plantains, my bill wasnt over 20 bucks. I was amazed how well everything was priced and how fresh the food was.

Winner winner chicken dinner! It’s been a few years since I’ve had Pollo Bravo, but it’s just as good as I can remember! To get to the point, clearly the chicken is the star of the show here. It’s juicy, it’s tender, it’s deliciously seasoned. Usually when you think of rotisserie chicken you think of the kind that you buy at the deli or HEB, but the rotisserie chicken here gives those deli’s a run for their freaking money. **I ordered the ½ chicken and it was perfect for 2 people! Sides to order: — Mexican Rice — Avocado salad: Avocado, tomatoes, onions on top of a bed of iceberg lettuce drizzled with light dressing — Nothing super fancy, but it gives nice variation to the meal. — Sweet plaintains: Perfectly fried and hot… one of my favorite side dishes. To top it all off Pollo Bravo has this bomb ass green sauce that just gives everything a kick of fire and flavor. Drizzle it all over your chicken and rice and you’re in for a real treat!

Came here by accident and was pleasantly surprise. I just wanted a quick lunch after getting some bank errand done. This happened to be the only restaurant in the same plaza so it was an obvious choice and turned out to be an excellent decision! Chicken was super juicy, tender and tasty. The green sauce was spicy but godsend, so perfect with the chicken! The fried plantains were the best I’ve ever had! They were sweet, tasted fresh and wasn’t soggy or greasy. I have never had Peruvian food this good in CA and I’ll definitely come again. They do get busy during lunch and service could be a slow, but the quality of food totally made up for it.

«Let’s have some chicken!» Their rotisserie chicken is juicy, tender, not dry at all, absolutely flavorful! Choose the size: ¼, ½ or whole chicken; dark or white meat. I chose the combo ¼ chicken with 2 sides: sweet fried plantains and Mexican rice. My friends got yuca, green plantains, salchipapa, french fries. Very tasty sides as well! Big Tip: request for their Green Sauce! It is their spicy sauce, but nothing to burn your mouth habanero style. Just enough spicy kick to keep the taste even more satisfied! Another point to keep in mind — their service is very prompt, no forever wait for the food, courteous as well. One last point but not the least — my lunch was under $ 10. Not bad at all, right? It’s very worth a try at least! I was happy and will definitely come back ! It’s not only chicken, it’s delicious chicken! I would highly recommend this restaurant as well!

¡Que rico! I really enjoyed the roasted chicken. I’m not usually a big fan of eating the skin on chicken. But this one was delish and so well seasoned! The green sauce gives such a fresh taste of cilantro! Verdaderamente me encantó.

One of My favorite comfort food restaurant in Houston. They have the best avocado in town for real, all green and soft just perfect(I’m an avocadoaholic) always order the big side. Tostones are a MUST, the chicken is well seasoned. Try the green sauce is little hot and enhance the chicken flavor :) The service is always friendly and the place is clean.

First time here. First thoughts are small and cozy. Even at its busiest this place cannot get too crazy. I got some chilaquiles verdes to go. Described as «deep fried tortilla in green tomatillo sauce, topped with Monterey Jack cheese, sour cream, beans and ¼th roasted chicken. It tasted delicious even though they left off the sour cream. Good food, over priced a little in my opinion. Nothing really stood out to make me want to return or spread the word, but I enjoyed it.

Great service. Recommend the chicken, green and sweet plantains, spicy green sauce and Mexican rice. Avocado salad was blahhh. Just iceberg lettuce with avocados and Italian dressing.

Very fast service. Great food. Green plantains were fantastic. Avocado salad was good. Chicken was good, not the best. The green salsa they give you makes everything better. Will come back to try out more of the sides. $ 11 and change for ½ chicken and 2 sides. Sit down and served. Tipped. Bathroom was nice and clean.

Nice little spot with excellent food and free wifi. I was going to stop at the starbucks for a meeting on the corner but it was packed. So we went around looking for wifi and luckily we found this place. It was a bit after lunch but I wanted to get something small so I wouldn’t mooch of their wifi. I had the Chicken taquitos and I have to say best I’ve ever had. The chicken had a lot of flavor, were cooked to the perfect crispyness and this green salsa was AMAZING!

I like this location because it is bigger than the Rice Military restaurant. The parking situation is terrible. I can imagine people not dining here because they can’t find parking. It is that bad. I like how they give you a piece of avocado with your Mexican rice when you order their Lomo Saltado. I recently had their Aguadito(Chicken Soup) and it was great. I almost tilted the bowl and licked it. I added 3 spoons of their Aji sauce to the Aguadito and it was just perfect. The bathrooms are very clean and the service is outstanding. There’s enough waitresses and also a manager; she helps out when needed.

I had to some errands near Pollo Bravo the other day. I thought to give it a try without reading any reviews. I thought it was a little pricey for ¼ chicken and 2 sides for $ 7.99. The chicken thigh & leg was suspiciously tender. My avocado salad only had 5 drops of dressing. I didn’t care much because I normally eat salads plain. Then, my green plantains was fried. I wonder what’s the difference with«sweet fried plantains.» The green sauce that everyone raving about, however, it was pretty delicious.
