Had the street tacos al pastor and they were amazing. The grilled pineapple and onions set it off. And the chips were so fresh the were still too hot to hold at first. Next time I am in town I will definitely be back.

I got the mole tamale, and that was the best mole sauce I’ve ever had. The green chicken enchilada was terrific as well, and my kiddo gobbled that sucker up. Even the chips and salsa to start were great. Another place added to the list of great places to eat nearby. Thanks Unilocalers!

I came here on a whim after reading reviews and the juice slushy was very good. Cheese enchiladas were good as well which is what I normally get at a new Mexican restaurant but the steak street tacos were awful. They used the tiny little flat round steaks that you can buy at the grocery for like 6 for $ 1 then they charged way too much for it. Was not good

The reviews for this place make it sound incredible, but it was just barely OK. The owner is super nice and the service in general was excellent. Food on the other hand was so so at best. The beans were OK and the rice was bland. Salsa was OK and the chips were overcooked. There was three of us and we ordered the Burichanga and the beef fajitas. If you want a large glass of lemonade be prepared to spend a small fortune. Burichanga — 1⁄10 This is a chimichanga anywhere else you may eat and it was down right bad. It has beef or chicken fajita on the inside and is covered with queso. It had a taste of grease and day old beef. The beef fajita looked like finely chopped steak that was flavorless. It was definitely not beef fajita inside. Beef Fajitas — 6⁄10 The actual beef fajitas were not that bad. Nice flavor and tenderness. Served with onions and peppers. (If they would of used this fajita meat in the burichanga it would of been at least edible other than the grease flavor.)

We tried this place for the first time tonight. Casual atmosphere, we came in at the dinner rush. The server for the restaurant was very busy but anger was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious!!! Great portions and very fresh. We will be back!

There is nothing here that is not incredible. We’ve had the breakfast tacos, breakfast burritos, fresh juices, tortilla chips, fajitas, Barbacoa and probably a few other things I’m forgetting. Seating is lacking for large groups, but that’s the only downside to this place. The owner is always there and he’s super nice and personable! This is a real gem!

The first thing I found pretty cool was they had a «heathy drink menu». Drinks made with fresh fruit and veggies. My girl friend and I ordered 2 different drinks, when they brought our drinks out they also gave us a sample of each other drinks. The chips and salsa were pretty awesome! I had the chicken fajita, it was pretty amazing, all together this place is awesome!

Delicious food! The chips and salsa was so delicious. The service was amazing. The man that served us was working as the cook and waiter and everything was perfect. I will definately be trying their breakfast tacos in the near future.

My daughter wanted chicken quesadilla for dinner tonight so we figured we’d try a new Mexican place. We decided on piñata because of all the 5 stars reviews. When we first walked in, there was only 1 table open(sits 2) but there were 3 of us so we pulled up a chair and made it work. The red salsa was spicier than I had expected, the green salsa was very mild, the chips are really good, they’re the thicker kind of chips. The menu isn’t super extensive but has a good selection of food. My daughter ordered the chicken quesadilla, my boyfriend ordered the street steak tacos and a papaya lime fruit slush(I’m not sure exactly what they’re called), and I ordered the green tamale and cucumber lime slush. The tacos came on corn tortilla(which is awesome since that’s what he prefers anyways), they were delicious. My green tamale were pork tamale with green chile sauce and cheese on top. It’s a huge tamale and they cut it in half for you. It was very delicious as well. The fruit slush was so refreshing!!! The cucumber lime tasted like a spa, perfect for the summer time. We tried the churro and plantains for dessert. The churro was phenomenal! The owner is so personable and friendly, he made conversations with us and made sure that everything turned out the way we expected. Our server was amazing as well, she was super friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely come back!!!

The Burrichanga is phenomenal. Need I say more? Fresh fruit smoothies are delicious. Chips are much much better than most. The staff are extremely nice and love having patrons. It’s not just about the business for them, they want you to love the food for your own sake. I ask for one sauce to try and they give me three different sauces free of charge and want to know which is my favorite. Love it here, definitely coming back again and again.

I think I was expecting more because of the reviews but I have experienced better. The food wasn’t bad at all. It was just okay. I ordered the chicken mole from the dinner menu and my husband had the lunch chicken fajitas. We got salsa and chips upfront. Now those were delicious! I couldn’t get the gal to reveal any of the salsa ingredients. But husband figured they sprinkle chili on the chips. Very tasty! My husband’s meal was a huge portion for lunch. We could have probably shared it. My meal was pretty good portioned — but was from the dinner menu. I wasn’t crazy about the mole. The food was good but the mole tasted more like ancho chilies. I couldn’t really taste any chocolate. Also it wasn’t like a gravy. It had the texture of enchilada sauce. The place is small and they have pinatas everywhere. The lady that works there, or owns the place(?) had her 2 year old there. She had her helping by bringing menus, silverware, the bill, etc. It was cute. I’m okay with that but others might not be. Overall, we’d probably go back and try something new. It’s close enough to my work and the prices are just fine.

Where have you been all my life Piñatas?! :) This restaurant is tucked away off Bay Area Boulevard in Clear Lake. The company I work for recently located to the area so of course I had to find new places to eat for lunch. So glad I happened upon this place! The owner, Tomas, is so very sweet and passionate about his food and restaurant. He made great suggestions for meals to try and everything I tried was delicious! I’ve been twice already and hope to go more. The breakfast burrito, chicken burrito, churro, & pineapple mango with chia seeds are the things I’ve tried so far and really enjoyed. My sis absolutely loves this green jalapeño sauce they make. It’s spicy but oh so good.

I came here when they first opened and have to say, I’ve been back again and again and again. The owner is really personable and loves to recommend things based on what you’re in the mood for. I went with my buddy for supper last week and my stomach was not feeling well. I requested something grilled like chicken or steak. He then offered to make me some chicken soup, which sounded really good. That was hands down one of the best meals I could have had. Point being; he didn’t have to offer me anything off the menu but he did because he cares. I’ve tried many things on the menu and have loved them all. Try this place out and you’ll be a repeat diner for sure.

So far I’ve only tried the breakfast tacos. They were overall pretty good; the only thing I disliked was that their tortillas are store-bought and not homemade(from small joints like this I expect more attention to detail). I did like that they allowed me to get egg whites. The lady working the register was very nice and friendly.

Finally a place with good breakfast tacos near NASAJSC! Sayonara Taco Cabana! Happy to support a new local entrepreneur. Stopped in before work to grab ~8 tacos to go. $ 0.99 each for egg only, $ 1.99 each for egg + a meat(bacon, ham, chorizo, sausage, barbacoa), +$ 0.25 for cheese. Decent size, and you can get them with corn or flour tortillas. They also have some specialty ones for a bit more. Lots of other breakfast options on menu — omelets, burritos, sandwiches — and a separate menu for fresh juices, smoothies, etc. I will definitely be back to try some other things. It’s a small little place, only 6 – 7 tables. But clean and full of giant Piñatas. A tip if you come in to pick up some breakfast tacos like me… Give yourself some time or call ahead. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because I waited 20 minutes for 8 tacos. But they just opened and tacos were all made to order. Once the NASA crowd gets wind of it though I am sure they will start making them ahead of time and turnover will be a lot faster. They open at 6:45am on weekdays.
