Service is awful during lunchtime. I’ve come here for lunch 3 times to keep giving it a try since my 1st experience was great. It took 30 min to get my phở. They bought my husbands food out 1st and I had to flag down a server that wasn’t ours and ask her if she can check the status of my soup. Well they had given it to someone else and asked me if I wanted to take it to go??? Ummmm no! Rude. I wanted to eat lunch with my husband not sit and wait an additional 20 min for a soup.

Good food, ok service. They take quite a while at lunch time but we go here regularly during off hours. Tasty phở and vermicelli. One of the few places that does a veggie/tofu vermicelli that is legitimately hearty. They don’t skimp on the veggies! I enjoy going here.

Best PHO in Houston! We’ve tried at least a dozen places and no where comes even close!

Getting the Pancake, what is so good with the dipping sauce. We ordered the fried calamaris who are very good too Around 2 – 3 pm is not so busy on weekends. The staff is friendly. And if you look on groupon your maybe lucky to safe 5 $

Phở was good. We came at an odd hour so we had our server to ourselves, so no complaints there. If there hadn’t been a roach on the wall, I’d have given 4 stars.

This is my favorite phở in Houston and I’ve been to plenty. Only knock is they have limited servers so at peak times its difficult to get drink refills

Love the vermicelli bowl with pork and eggroll. Also the lunch plate with pork, egg, rice, tomatoes, and eggroll with free iced tea. Service is always good. Family owned and they treat customers like family. Very quick for lunch time. Clean. Best noodle house I’ve been to.

Very low quality ingredients and load of MSG. I had raw meat in my dish and it even tastes cold. The first waiter said it is supposed to be like that. The manager came and he is very casual about it. Safety hazard!

This is a laid back kinda café. The food is simple but delicious. Prices are just right and the staff is always courteous. I come here frequently and will continue to.

Vietnamese rolls are solid. Bo Luc Lac was a bit saucier than how most restaurants have it but the flavor was still good. Service is very friendly and fast. This will be a regular lunch joint for us. It’s clean and inviting… even the menus are clean. haha

Dang it!!! They don’t deliver anymore! Major bummer! Nothing like phở on a day you want to stay in or are under the weather and don’t feel like cooking or leaving the house. They are still good though.

This is late review post. This was a place I go for lunch on the weekends when I was working at Best Buy in Katy. The service here is very prompt and great. There Phở here is awesome. This place is different as in their unique phở broth. It’s a great tasting broth. Price here is very cheap too with great tasting Phở.

This is an update, as per my latest visit to this establishment today 9÷2÷2015. I came here after a little after 1pm with my friend and kiddo. The servers seated us after a few minutes because we asked for the table by the window. Once we sat down and had time to read the menu, the server came back and took our orders. Once the water and food came to the table I went to eat and noticed there were no spoons and the bowl of soup was missing the second meet I ordered. The waitress looked annoyed, once I alerted her to both issues. It took her a while to get back to our table, but she did bring the spoons… but when I asked her again about the meat, she told me to look under the noodles, which I had already done before asking about the missing meat(I’m no novice to phở). I assured her that there was in fact, NONE of the 2nd meat I ordered. She said something, in a low almost inaudible voice, and left. A few minutes later she returned with a tiny serving of the second meat(about 4 tiny thin slices, even small for phở standards). And walked straight away. I didnt say anything and proceeded to eat my food. Well guess what interupted my meal… a lizzard! I think it was an anole, it scared me and my friend and we had to beg the wait staff to attend to the issue. A glass of water was spilled from our table and they took their sweet time to bring a mop and help us out when the mop did finally come out, it had a roach on it!!! Yuck. Now I know why they have lizzards in the place! Their there for a roach meal! I’m so dissapointed in this place. The soup is very very light on flavor… they could do better. Another note… if they are going to charge 7 bucks for soup, then they are going to have to stop being super cheapo and add some more meat… gosh. even 3 pieces would make a difference in their skimpy meal. All I’m all I’m very dissapointed, the management and waitstaff never uttered and apology or anything. Bad business ! Will I go back? No

This place makes really good phở tai. The broth is seasoned nicely and the ingredients are fresh. They give you a decent amount of meat. I order lunch takeout from here at least once a week. The women that work here are super nice too.

This place is our number one go to restaurant for phở! My family and I have been going here for almost 3 years, and we haven’t had any problem with their food or service. First off, they’re a family owned business, and they have amazing service. The owners are very friendly and always have a smile on their faces. They always acknowledge our children and accommodate their needs such as providing clean scissors, additional plates and smaller spoons. Food isn’t fancy of any sort, but it has that genuine, home taste flavor which I truly love. My husband and I usually order phở, along with their BBQ pork sandwiches and egg rolls. Food always comes out on time(unless you dine in during lunch hours which gets kind of hectic) and it’s deliciously made. Soup is fresh and their meat is pretty good(we usually order phở tai nam with gau). BBQ sandwiches are great here too! Saves us the drive from going to Bellaire. Decent price, great service with a delicious homey menu.

Random walk in after a quick research around Unilocal. It’s funny how random places in Houston are better than the phở in DC. Anyways, onto the review… This is actually more of a 4.5 Stars. But the phở was actually really good. What I noticed was a really strong hint of star anise(pro or con, depending on who you ask). Also, the lunch special of a large bowl of phở, egg rolls, and iced tea is a great steal! The service was actually pretty good for a Vietnamese restaurant. I live by the mantra for Vietnamese restaurants that if the service is good, the food is bad. Here, you don’t get that trade-off. So why didn’t I round up? My thai tea was severely under-sweetened. I love something sweet to round out phở, but this was lacking. I want my high fructose corn syrup dammit! Just kidding, but seriously, check this out.

This is the place my worker and myself frequent quit a bit. But after today. I will frequent no more. Here is what happen. The long and the short of it. I ordered the lunch combo special because the waiter is in a hurry and he kept asking me what do I want and I had just sat down. But anyway i went ahead and ordered the lunch combo. But when my food arrive and I proceed to put the bean sprout as usual in my soup. There was a dead fly in the mix of the bean sprouts. I didn’t want to make a big deal so I figure I will inform the manager/owner lady that walks around the resturant. She just stared at the plate and gave me a look. So the waiter walk by and see what she was doing they both stared at the plate with the dead fly in it then they gave me a look as if I put the fly in the plate. I don’t mind so much the look but they didn’t even say«Sorry» or nothing. I think in their minds is that I put the fly in the plate so I get a free meal. If I wanted to do such a thing I would have made a big deal and demand another bowl of soup since I have put all the bean sprout in the hot soup already. To top it off I have to go up to the cashier and ask for my bill. They still didn’t say a word about it. I don’t mind paying for food. But at least keep it clean and be nice about it if the customer pointed out to you. Offer an appology or exchange for another bowl of noodle soup. I will not be eating in that place any more since I really don’t want to get food poison or anything that a dead fly can carry. Or worst yet is what kill the fly and landed on the bean sprouts. Since the manager won’t appologize and still think there is no problem. Then eaters beware. They will not clean up or do anything.

First time trying out this place. Last week my Job brought some banh mi sandwiches. I did not eat one because it was either pulled pork or chicken sandwiches. I’m Vegan so step away not today disco lady. Anyway, everyone liked the sandwiches so I figured id check out the menu and see what they had. They actually have a nice size vegetarian menu. I opted for the Bell pepper and Onion deep marinated tofu. I also bought my sister the Garlic & Cilantro deep marinated tofu, plus a side of tofu spring rolls for take out. Everything was delightful & fresh. Both Tofu’s was very well seasoned. Loved every bit of it. My dish came with a side salad which consisted of mix green, tomatoes & onions; the onions where grilled delicious. Prices are fair. Each dish was $ 8 and springs rolls are $ 2.50, $ 20 even was my total. Not bad at all. I will definitely be back and try out some other dishes. Would recommend to anyone. Two thumps up.

Can’t cosign this joint being the best phở in Katy… my tastebuds preferred the Vietnamese Noodle House up the road at Westgreen. At any rate, the service at Phở Tan An is right on par with the rest of the service at these phở places, semi-rude and/or non existent. In this case, semi-rude. I ordered the lunch phở large bowl with shrimp spring roll and tea. It’s only about a difference of a $ 1 between that one and small. It was ok, definitely big serving but the broth just wasn’t the best I’ve ever had. My spring roll was kinda dry tasting but decent. Whatever that is in the 2nd pic I posted, that my coworker ate, the meat was off the chain! That will be my next dish if I venture back… other than that, I’m fine to miss this place but only cause it’s just not memorable.
