Omar’s Hookah & Grill

I was very excited to hear this place open its the only Hookah & Grill in Katy, Tx that serves food. I had the Chicken Schwarma with fries and I was in food coma. I had the Hummus and I like my Hummus not too liquidity but not to dry this was just the right consistency. Along with pickled condiments this place took me back to Dubai where I fell in love with my first Schwarma!
My friend first took me to Ignite Hookah Lounge also in Katy Tx and in my opinion has the best Hookahs in Houston and all of Katy. So my expectations were very high and when the owners told me they were opening this second Hookah place I was skeptical.
They use Hookahs from Egypt which in my opinion are the best not too much water in the base and easy to clear out. They use large bowls for longest lasting Hookah and they use Social smoke Hoses and mouth pieces for a calm, comfortable, experience.
This Café itself is my second home I am here practically everyday finishing real estate or tax work and so the environment is very homey and quiet enough to get my work done. The music and ambiance reminds me of my trips to Morocco and Egypt, there are 4 couches in the center that are very relaxing and bench seats on either side of the café for couples. Painted Red Walls denote a Feng Shui décor along with light greens and coffee colored couches make this place modern and elegant.
For me this is my Bohemian Café and I love to try the house mixes such as Dragons breath and Kiwi, Grape Mint, Watermelon & Mint, and new cocktail flavors such as Rainbow, Surfer, Wild Mango are just what has me Hooked to this place.
On occasion myself or my friends will leave the coals on the Bowl Head too long and Baber and Ghazi told me you never want to have 2 coals burning very close or it will burn the Hookah and not last long. Also you should clear out chamber base and this will renew your Hookah flavor experience and last double the time. Well I can say for a fact by myself I can have one Hookah last me 2 hours sometimes longer. Baber and Ghazi will even come and clear out and fix the coal placement on your Hookah for you to prolong your Hookah experience. I never knew that and they taught me how to enjoy my Hookah experience longer. So thank you Baber and Ghazi for this place has become my second home and for just being yourselves and talking to your customers and being humble extremely friendly gets you 5 stars in my book.
